You never want to hear the moving crew say "we should have brought a bigger truck." The quote was around $2500-$2800, but we were only charged about half of that because they ran out of truck before we ran out of stuff. One of the movers told me they didn't like moving televisions, couldn't I just take that 80" TV in my car because they didn't have the proper equipment with them to move them. They made one load and we spent the next 4 days lifting and moving stuff in our vehicles--something we tried to avoid by hiring movers. This service was not worth the high cost of having to move things ourselves. We had used the service twice before, but never again.

This place is definitely scamming. We drove 100 miles in our U-Haul. They had us pay for 200 miles…read moretotal, due to the fact they had us pay in advance, and then again after getting a late fee for missing our return date by a day. My boyfriend spoke to support trying to get it fixed, and they told him they will correct the charge once it's returned. Now that it is returned they charge us a fee for "returning to the wrong location" $200!!! Seriously think about renting from UHaul because they do not care about you they will take all the money they can get.

I cannot believe they charge a convenience fee for me to pay online which I can avoid by taking time off work, spending gas money, and trying to get there before they close. If I do all of that, will $8.12 be subtracted from my rent because I am doing this for their convenience? Ridiculous policy. It was bad enough that the company who owned it prior raised the rates by quite a bit in one month (more than $30 more a month) frankly just because they could.

Now they are charging 3 times more. These people are unprofessional, unethical and downright dishonest. I would never recommend this location at Hosmer street in Lansing. If you go there make sure you hold them responsible for quoting the price and don't leave without having everything in writing otherwise be prepared to be lied and then denied the pricing they had quoted. They will deny their own handwriting unless you have the correct documentation. Just be careful dealing with them
