And for goodness sakes! its a storage facility! Who misses a storage facility?! Its because the guys who manage this place are so great. Not only is the place super clean and safe but it feels like a good place. The managers have discounts that they highlight in these hilarious emails they send out. In September if you were the first person to make a payment that day you got 10% off your whole months rent. This month if you bring in 2 bags of wrapped candy you get 10% off your rent and they included a really funny Halloween poem in the email. I just found this place by driving down University from ASU looking for a place to store my stuff after I graduated. It was really affordable, a lot of places directly around the campus are way overpriced. It's not air conditioned but I stored stuff over a really hot summer and it was all fine. It stays pretty cool in the units. Nothing was damaged. The guys talked me into getting a bigger unit than I thought I wanted because they said that it would be easier to get stuff in and out if I needed to get it and that was great advice. Not only did I have way more stuff than I thought, but if I wanted to get something out of storage I didn't have to move all my stuff out of the unit to do it. it was only about $5 or $10 more a month and it was totally worth it. If you are at ASU or in Tempe or Mesa just looking for a storage unit, I highly, highly, highly recommend American Self Storage.

I've used their "indoor" 5 x 15 unit, which allow you to park along the outdoor units and walk through towards a shaded hallway and access your unit. I then moved to a larger, drive up unit that fit my needs much more. Neither of my units have been particularly clean, with small remnants of trash, or dirt. Nothing major, but noticeable. The overall complex is a bit run done, with a rough around edges drive and key code areas. Other than the complex not being the shiniest? It is gated and I haven't had an issues or concerns with my units. Staff is always friendly and helpful when needed.

They assured me I would get it back after a few business days. I called back a week later because I hadn't received or heard anything back, the lady was so rude and started blaming me for not giving my recent address then when I tried to give it to her she said I had to mail it in... I rented here for about 3 years, paid every late charge and every extra "fee" they added when they up and switched the insurance that raised my monthly rent. Now I'm being told after calling the corporate office that they don't do prorated refunds that "sorry to say it was you to get your stuff by the 5th" which is the grace period that give you. So now I'm out about $140 that they are keeping and making even more on it renting it out to someone else they're gonna screw over!! Oh yeah and not to mention that the first time I called in about this last week, they were telling me my due date was on the 8th of every month not the 1st. If that was the case then why was I locked out and refused access after the 5th of the month when I made late payments? Doesn't make sense....
