Jonathan and the company were rude and deceitful. They were supposed to be at my place at 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. They pushed it back to 11 a.m. the day of, which was not a big deal. But when I called around 2 p.m., the office person, Jonathan, said he didn't know when they'd be there, and when I asked, 'What happens if you don't get to me? ' He said, If we don't get there, we don't get there. (They no show frequently based on what I now know). I told him that wasn't going to work, because I had put down a deposit and needed to be out of my 3rd floor walk up apt by the following day at noon, and he could not offer anything for the following day. They didn't show up until ~ 5 p.m. , after they loaded my furniture and boxes onto their truck, they told me the hourly rate was much higher than what they had agreed with me on when I booked. When I called the office to talk to them about the fact that they had been 9 hours late and charging me a higher rate than had been agreed upon. Jonathan told me that if I didn't like it, "I'll tell them to dump your stuff on the front lawn, " and " tell them to cancel your move. " As a nurse, I'm used to talking to difficult people & was calm and confident in this discussion. His reaction to my questioning their horrible business practices was off the rails. And miraculously, when my father got on the phone with him, he changed his tune. When they got to my new place I had to pay the fee for them to unload my belongings and sign a bunch of crap that should have been upfront at time of booking. My boxes were labeled but they left them wherever which at that time was fine. I wanted them out. They were creepy all around. Moving is stressful, having someone threaten to hold you, your belongings, and stable housing hostage is the last thing anyone needs. Stay away from this company.

I had to leave and get my own drill so they could remove the couch feet. One mover used my bathroom without asking while the door was closed and valuables were inside. At the new house, they broke my chandelier while bringing the couch upstairs -- we heard the crash. They left without cleaning the broken glass off the stairs. I have 4 dogs in the home; one could have been seriously injured. I hired movers to make this easier as a disabled Marine Corps veteran. Instead, they created more work and a safety hazard. Upon talking to the operations manager Adam Bradshaw, he offered no compensation or apology for the incident that occurred. Update. Upon calling back the number that was provided it lead back to the main office, I was led back to Adam Bradshaw. Who refused to help me any further. When I asked for corporate's number, he said he was not able to give it out but I could look it up ** Update I called the corporate office who also refused to help I've made a charge back on my bank. I tried several times to de escalate the situation with numerous people in the company. I have nothing but nice things to say about the 4 young gentleman that moved my families belongings in 8 hours. Tien, Allen, Jonathan and Anthony all took great care of our things and upon arrival at the new home they went above and beyond as to putting each labeled box where it belongs. They asked about furniture they were unsure of which room to leave it in, making my move in a lot easier to take in. We paid an hourly rate and it was kind of expensive but if you told me this was going to be my experience again, I'd pay double.

They partner with Yellow Freight which brings the cost to half of what other shippers charge (who use various mail services). When Yellow Freight forgot to scan the four handmade box crates in Chicago (apparently quite unusual) and we weren't sure where they were, Scott offered to call Yellow Freight and described the crates so that could be more easily found. Everything arrived in perfect order and the boxes & inserts that Scott made were amazing. This is a family business, run by Scott and his wife, and they care about what they do. It shows.

You know where this is going. A 30 minute appointment actually took two hours, mainly due to one employee named Ursula. She was disorganized and seemingly in no rush, in spite of a huge line and only one other employee behind the counter. She was working with a customer when I arrived, and when it was my turn I assumed I'd be next, but she took a couple who were 15 minutes late for their appointment instead. Fortunately for me, this turned out to be a good thing, because two other employees magically returned from lunch and I was assigned to one of them. All in all, although I accomplished my mission, this was an unnecessarily frustrating experience.
