They showed up about 15 minutes early and emptied my apartment in record time. Granted, I had moved a lot of boxes myself but needed help with the big stuff. When we got to my new place, there was a challenge with the couch. I know, my fault for buying a couch from Macy's without measuring it to make sure it will fit through doors. However, these guys tried so hard and didn't give up!!!!! I was about to give up before them but they wouldn't let me - thanks guys! Overall, they probably were moving my stuff for about two hours (if that) and it was well worth the money!!!

On my son's 2nd day of work, during his "training/orientation", he packed and loaded a house from 7a - 4:30p and then drove 2 hours to a house in NY to unload it! At 10 pm, they told him if he didn't help unpack then they wouldn't give a ride home AND that he couldn't leave because he needed an escort off the "base". He panicked and called us and we ended up getting the West Point police to escort him to the school exit. At 11:30p he got an Uber to Fishkill, NY where his dad picked him up and they got back to West Hartford at 2:00a. It was a horrible experience for him and makes me really question how they run their business. Also, they weren't even going to pay him for the 29 hours he worked over those 2 days! We finally badgered them enough that they paid him for 16 hours...so add what I have to think is wage theft to the list of questionable tactics. I would never recommend anyone work there or hire them to move ANYTHING!

DO NOT USE ROGOVIN MOVING AND STORAGE…read more This was, without exaggeration, one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful service experiences I've ever had. PICKUP: The movers arrived already frustrated and openly complained about having to move larger items- items that were absolutely disclosed ahead of time. They told me dispatch never informed them, which immediately put me in the middle of their internal failure. Because of this, they were completely unprepared to properly pack those pieces despite the fact that I paid Rogovin in advance to pack them. As a result, both items were significantly damaged. When I called dispatch to resolve it, instead of taking responsibility, they argued with me and blamed me for not packing the items myself... for a service I was literally paying them to perform. I was charged for packing that never happened. DROP OFF: It somehow got worse. Immediately, a mover disappeared into my bathroom and later came out apologizing, asking if I had spray. I later discovered he hadn't even flushed properly. I had to clean up after your employee in my own home. That alone is unbelievable. They also don't tell you that you're required to stand there and help them count every item during unload, or risk issues later. That burden is entirely put on you with zero warning. And then the most unacceptable part: They left with one of my major belongings still on the truck. Instead of immediately correcting their mistake professionally, I was told to meet them on the side of I-95 as if that's a normal or reasonable solution. I spent hours of my workday trying to track them down on a highway and never found them. When I called dispatch again, I was met with hostility and told I would need to go all the way back to Connecticut to retrieve my own item... after I had already moved to Maryland. Let that sink in. This company: * Damaged my belongings * Charged me for services they didn't perform * Left my home in a disgusting state * Lost one of my items * And then refused to take accountability or fix it in any reasonable way Until my missing item is returned to the address I paid to have it delivered to, this review will remain. Avoid this company at all costs.

But yet again we had to call to discover that the shipment was delayed and our belongings won't be arriving today as promised. The supervisor we spoke to says that she is unsure of what the hold up is and will get back to us with an update. Each time we have had to reach out and otherwise would not have been told our container was not coming. Pack Rat has agreed to pay for our unused permits but this delay has inconvenienced not only us, but also our neighbors, and we will be expecting additional compensation.

The deliver was supposed deliver in the morning or early afternoon. The container arrived at 9:00 that evening. This set me back a day from moving as I was getting closer to my close date. . Pick-up, same thing happened, was to be picked up morning to mid-afternoon, came about 8:00 that evening. . Customer service, they are out to get the best financial profit and will play around with the quote numbers. They quoted my the same price for a 16ft container, tried charging the same for a 12ft. I decided to rent the 16ft container. . Less then a month after renting the 16ft container, I received an email of a price increase. Sorry, I find this troubling that they quickly increase the rental price for more profit. I would be very cautious dealing with Pack-Rat. I will not use them in the future or recommend that due to their business practices. I simply can't trust them. There are alternatives that I strongly suggest you look at. I had a few friend that we're going to work with Pack-Rat, they are now dealing with alternative container companies.

Oh, and only if you're ok with your belongings taking a month to be delivered, and your pick-up/delivery dates changing every couple of days. So, here's what happened. We ordered 3 PODS. 2 16', and one 8'. All three were supposed to be delivered on the same day, as we had movers ready to go. We only recieved 2 PODS.‍ The movers could not fit everything into the one 16' and one 8' PODS. We had to leave A LOT of our belongings in our driveway for a haul away company to pick up...which we had to pay for. Obviously, we cancelled the 16' POD that was not delivered because it was useless at this point. Well, to pour salt into the deep wounds they had already caused, they delivered the 16' POD anyway, blocking the other, full PODS from being able to be picked up. ‍ And then they let the PODS sit on our property for two weeks...while we're trying to sell the house. This company needs a logistics department. One of the drivers told me that he NEVER talks to a human at the office.‍ We spent hours on the phone with these people...on the occasions when they *didn't* just hang up on us. We are out sooo much money and time just because we chose PODS. PLEASE, don't make the same mistake. To the social media response person...please don't post your standard, stock answer in response to my review. It shows how little you actually care. The ONLY response I want from you people is a HUGE apology and a HUGE discount for all the money and time you cost us. Update... So, as everyone can see, PODS did exactly as I requested they *NOT* do. You PODS people have already been contacted. My spouce has already spoken to corporate exec members, and at no point did they offer recompense of ANY kind. Again, your company is a joke. You have my first name and last initial. You figure it out and contact *ME*. I'm done contacting you people.
