I was very impressed!…read moreI probably sent about 6 requests for quote out to different companies and Lynn at Express Haulers was the first to call me within a minute of sending the request, and the only one persistently following up with me. I told every company that we have a small move as we had been moving things little by little by ourselves, only Lynn provided me with the lowest minimum hours and competitive pricing. When I said I would get back to her, I appreciated her persistence in following up. They estimated 2.5 hours of work and Carlos and his team did a great job efficiently moving things, only took 30 more minutes than they estimated. They also didn't have any hidden charge for wrapping material for couch etc. My husband at the receiving address said they were very careful with our newly renovated home, the floor, the wall etc as they moved and assembled furniture. After the move, the owner Diego himself reached out to check in and asked for feedback. As somebody running a business myself and working with business owners, I really appreciate how they run their business, the efficiency, the flexibility and the care. Will recommend them to anybody in my network who needs moving services.

One of the best things about this company is that they have pre-prepared packages of boxes, tape, etc. divided by room and/or rooms which makes it a little easier. They have boxes for junk, boxes for tvs, boxes for lamps - are you following me here? They have supplies for moving - tape, blankets, plastic wrap, paper. So I go online and make my order (FREE shipping by the way on everything!) and expect it to come in a couple days according to the site. After the confirmation of sale is where it gets good. 30 minutes pass and I get a call from the company saying they can deliver today, the same day, in the late afternoon. OK. One hour later I get another call that they can deliver right now. Yes please. Approximately three hours after I ordered many, many boxes, they arrived in perfect shape. Having no idea this company was in Brooklyn, I guess I should consider myself lucky. The customer service was fantastic and the boxes have been working just fine. The crates stack up very neatly, unlike cardboard boxes, and are much easier for the movers to move. The drop-off and pick-up were punctual and flexible. We originally booked for two weeks - took one week to pack, two days to unpack. BoxUp was able to pick up the crates early and get them out of our way. Reuben did the drop-off and pick-up and was very professional. BoxUp also conveniently offers other packing material to be delivered with the crates. The green wrap was perfect for small pottery pieces, and the bubblewrap was great to protect art. Looking forward to booking BoxUp again when we have to move!

I called the day before we needed to move it, and got lucky that they had a cancelation and could squeeze us in with 1 days notice. The unit was heavy and awkward and had to go down some steep stairs into a basement. The movers handled the job professionally and got the machine into the basement with no damage to the machine, the house, or themselves. That was quite an accomplishment!!! If I had one concern about All My Sons it's their failure to clearly communicate pricing and liability limitations. I was told that their minimum charge is 2 hours. It's actually 2 hours plus travel time. And, I wasn't told that their liability limitation is 60 cents per pound. That would have come out to $240 for a $1500 appliance -- definitely not enough to replace the appliance if something had happened. I might not have hired All My Sons if I'd seen this. We got lucky.

He wrapped it in plastic, loaded it into a clean van, & not only did he drop it off but he delivered my old sofa to a friend. All for the price of one trip to my house. He was HALF the cost of anyone else. Restoration Hardware uses a team that charges SO much more. He was super easy to communicate with via text, with a copy of the conversation in the Yelp app. My friend asked me how I could trust someone randomly to pick up and deliver my couch, but I did & it really worked out.
