If you are looking for a clean storage facility, look no further. The Extra Space Storage on Old Lexington Road is great. A newer facility with great staff. Briana Hollingsworth made our rental so easy. She was very welcoming and didn't mind showing us a couple different units. We decided on a 10 x 10 unit. She gave us a great price. They were running a special where you get a free month. I would highly recommend this facility. read more

This place is horrible. What makes it horrible is their lack of customer service & the business clearly looks at you as a piggy bank instead of a customer. I'm a college student & I've had my unit for over a year. Paid on time EVERY month considering I didn't have much (if any income) coming in. So, when I got the notice the 1st time that the rent was increasing I just sighed slowly, closed my eyes & prayed that God would help me to continue to pay for the space because I needed it. So, as of recently I received another notices stating my payments were going up once again. Almost $100 now. This I could not overlook. So I called. I've only had to call maybe 1 or 2xs the whole time I had the unit & those times whomever I spoke with was rude & snide. Next time I said I'm just going to go up there if I have any question & I'm going to make sure I bring my dad. But anyway, I called about the new price & why was it continuing to keep going up & this rude girl on the other end told me it was a market adjustment. Ok, I understand but why is it that when I rented the unit I wasn't provided this info that this would happen & this is how y'all operated. It would've ruled you all out! I don't have much money & I pay on time monthly aaannnd I'm a student is there no way I could get a discount or at least go back to the previous price, is what I asked & she said no. I talked for a few more minutes as she continued to be rude & tell me that I wasn't making since & the questions I was asking didn't apply, but she couldn't give me a logical explanation. So, fast forward to the other day I received a call saying I was late on a payment. I was really surprised because I had auto payment set up. I remembered I had gotten a new card recently. So I gave her (the same rude a** girl) my new card info & she said oh it's going to be a $15 late fee..! I told her it was an accident & for whatever reason I thought this unit was linked to my checking acct & not bank card. I thought that I had switched everything over. I asked if I could get a pass just this 1x. She said no because there's a note saying someone called & that there was an answer & then someone hung up. I told her I have not received any calls nor voicemails within the last week & that I just called up there the other day to speak to you about the new price of my unit & you didn't say anything then. I don't have bills I run from & I try to pay them on time. So I don't know why I couldn't have gotten a pass this once. I check my voicemails daily. She said they were not required to leave a voicemail although, anything could've made it seem like a call was dropped I.e. bad connection, phone accidentally being answered because it's usually in my back pocket or book bag or anything could've caused that. BUT, if they would've left a message I would've fixed the issue right then. So, basically PLEASE do not use this location!! Save your money & time. Loyal, nice customers deserve to be treated with respect & not be robbed by this company or any company. The units aren't worth the price & the employees are extremely rude & snide. After I remove my items I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I would even pay more at a company that is more helpful & nice & appreciative of customers as myself. I'm always nice whenever I'm on the phone & have to call a business but it's places like this that make me wish I was more rude & firm. I wasn't asking for any handouts just to be courteous especially to your customers that diligently pay on time monthly. To whomever .. please don't go here. read more
