It went from a smaller, customer focused Credit Union to more of a corporate bank. Texell has made many serious errors in my account recently, that resulted in the balance being inaccurate. I had to speak with a number of supervisors, management, and leadership who seemed to be trying to help, but were consistently providing inaccurate and conflicting information. Unfortunately, this led me to interacting with the CFO, David, who didn't take any consideration of how Texell's mistakes put me in a financially hard situation and withdrew a large sum of money from my account right before bills were due for the end/beginning of the month. This basic lack of concern or acknowledgment of how their errors impacted me, with the lack of communication to figure out a plan that wouldn't impact my mortgage and ability to pay bills, helped me decide to move my business elsewhere.

It took 40 minutes with cashier constantly asking other cashier questions and going from 1 spot to another. After 30 minutes she finally turns around and says just a few more minutes & I asked what was the problem? She replied she had to get authorization as she couldn't. She must have gotten approval then took more time to type out 2 letters stating X funds available in 3 days & balance in a week. 40 minutes to deposit a check. We told her this, and was rudely asked: "Repeat that." When I did, she told me to wait until the teller was done servicing the person in front of me; and she walked away. Funny, I thought that's why I was waiting in line. After the person in front of me was done, the teller took us to an office to deal with the situation. We were told that because we opened the account in Georgetown, we couldn't get new cards at the Belton location because the "numbers were different than the Georgetown numbers," and that "this is only a sister location." Why call it First Texas Bank if I can't do account maintenance here? Why was I treated so rudely? We opened the account in Georgetown many years ago and moved to the Belton/Temple area. The teller was very kind to us, and tried to work it out; but we got nowhere. Long story short, the bankers here are extremely rude for no apparent reason. Also, why would you call yourself a First Texas Bank if you have completely different standards, supervisors, Presidents/Vice Presidents than the other location that shares the same name? They have lost our business--not because of the inconvenience of having to drive to Georgetown to sort this out--but because of their absolutely unwarranted rude behavior. The Georgetown First Texas Bank is much better than this one, so it's very disappointing that they have to lose customers because of their "sister location."
