We told her this, and was rudely asked: "Repeat that." When I did, she told me to wait until the teller was done servicing the person in front of me; and she walked away. Funny, I thought that's why I was waiting in line. After the person in front of me was done, the teller took us to an office to deal with the situation. We were told that because we opened the account in Georgetown, we couldn't get new cards at the Belton location because the "numbers were different than the Georgetown numbers," and that "this is only a sister location." Why call it First Texas Bank if I can't do account maintenance here? Why was I treated so rudely? We opened the account in Georgetown many years ago and moved to the Belton/Temple area. The teller was very kind to us, and tried to work it out; but we got nowhere. Long story short, the bankers here are extremely rude for no apparent reason. Also, why would you call yourself a First Texas Bank if you have completely different standards, supervisors, Presidents/Vice Presidents than the other location that shares the same name? They have lost our business--not because of the inconvenience of having to drive to Georgetown to sort this out--but because of their absolutely unwarranted rude behavior. The Georgetown First Texas Bank is much better than this one, so it's very disappointing that they have to lose customers because of their "sister location."

Recently, we've tried to open a family business account and have been dodged and weaved by the "cocky" bankers there. Always with an over sarcastic tone, no helpful guidance the times we show up with "not enough paperwork", and always booked backed to back all day with clients as they sit in their cubicle on their phones. I would not recommend this branch instead the harker heights location who have time and time again have provided assistance no matter the time we show up.

They don't have a business account specialist on site today? That's fair since it's a Saturday but it would've been nice if Brittney had stated that yesterday. When we stated we were told they'd be open and we could come in, the lady said "well we are open. We just can't help you." First red flag. Second red flag: another man came in behind us and the woman didn't even acknowledge him with a smile, a we will be right with you, nothing. Final red flag: the woman told us to go to another branch nearby and couldn't have been more condescending if she tried when we asked for the address, explaining that we were new to the area. I'm in education now but I worked in customer service for 25 years. I've experienced some of the worst and some of the best. This was by far some of THE worst. I'm skeptical to even open an account with Texell at all. But I'm hopeful another branch will give us a better experience. We will see...
