My experience with Texell has been very poor. The customer service has been consistently declining over the past 10-20 years. It went from a smaller, customer focused Credit Union to more of a corporate bank. Texell has made many serious errors in my account recently, that resulted in the balance being inaccurate. I had to speak with a number of supervisors, management, and leadership who seemed to be trying to help, but were consistently providing inaccurate and conflicting information. Unfortunately, this led me to interacting with the CFO, David, who didn't take any consideration of how Texell's mistakes put me in a financially hard situation and withdrew a large sum of money from my account right before bills were due for the end/beginning of the month. This basic lack of concern or acknowledgment of how their errors impacted me, with the lack of communication to figure out a plan that wouldn't impact my mortgage and ability to pay bills, helped me decide to move my business elsewhere. read more

Great place to get an auto loan! Customer service was amazing. You can get a lower rate if you buy car warranty through them.

This is a very good credit union personable you get in and out the lobby looks great and friendly and inviting. They even have coffee and suckers for the little ones. the people are always very helpful to me when I go in and say I need to do this, so I've loved him for a long time and they've done real good by me. Texell will hold funds and charge fees on pending charges that were proved to be fraud and told about . Continue to charge fees on amounts pending to reduce availability of money Then when they drop off and don't even come through will not refund fees They say not a credit union problem read more

Have been with them for over 10 years. My husband and I both had accounts and then I closed mine and we kept a joint account. Well I had many perks on my account now nothing I can't even mobile deposit anymore because I haven't " cashed enough checks". I don't use checks but I do occasionally get them in the mail but I have to go in and deposit them and have them put on hold for who knows how long. Recently had OD fees for an oversight, transferred money into wrong account, and requested to have them refunded. I asked because many other banks will due this as a courtesy to long time members. We'll not Texell they never even responded. When I first started woth them they were smaller now they have grown and seem just like the others. My son has an account with them that was just breached two fraudulent debits from FEDEX about 3 or 4 days apart for over 900 dollars apiece. He is in the Airforce and works nights and didnt notice he just works and sleeps mainiy. No one notified him and they have done nothing to help him they have hardly any security measures against this type of thing but plenty against accountholders. I'm looking for a new banks as well as my husband son and 2 daughters. There is no customer loyalty there not anymore. read more

Texell will not leave me alone even after I closed my accounts. They stole money from me and took their time closing my account which cause someone who stole my card to make more transactions which cause my account to be more negative. They wanted me to drive two hours to a place someone used my card to see who it was during the gas shortage. read more

Texell has officially lost myself and my family as customers. I recently moved to Belton and decided to open an account at Texell. Kelsey, the girl who helped me open my account was nice and helpful. However, I was a little miffed by the lack of concern over debit card security with the "chipless" debit card that was issued to me. And, her oversight at adding my employer to my account which created an added delay when I deposited my first payroll check. After the first initial hiccup with depositing my check everything was fine. But, after discovering I had opened an account with Texell, several family members warned me that I should be prepared to have issues. Apparently Texell doesn't have the best of reputation with inflated bank fees and poor customer relations. In response to this, I asked around and wound up opening an account at a small local bank with a great reputation and stellar customer service. With my busy work schedule, I had not had the opportunity to update my payment information for my gym membership, which was the only automated payment coming out of this account. I made a cash deposit to cover the payment the day before it was scheduled to come out and didn't really think about it again. Apparently, I should have. The bank put a 24 hour hold on my cash deposit, which caused my gym membership to be kicked back and me to be charged a bogus $30 overdraft fee. Of course, the gym attempted to get their money again, which resulted in an additional $30 overdraft fee. So, I'm now sitting at $60 in overdraft fees they are attempting to scam me out of, my gym membership is nearing 2 weeks late which I'm sure will result in a late fee and these jokers are now calling to say they improperly credited my account and want to collect their $60 in fees and a $21 fee for their mistake. Let's add this up: $60 NSF + $21 bank fee + $20 gym membership + $10 late fee = $111. My $20 gym membership has now turned into $111 because Texell put a hold on cash, didn't notify me of the hold, didn't notify me of the NSF due to their hold and then again didn't notify me of the NSF the second time around. I pay my bills and I pay money I owe, but I most certainly do not pay out for a scam. I'll be paying my gym the $31 I now owe due to Texell's negligence, but I WILL NOT be giving these crooks another dime of my money. They can take the $81 they are attempting to illegally charge me and shove it. Just for safe measure I'll make sure to contact all financial licensing agencies to make sure they are aware of Texell's fraudulent banking practices. I didn't even mention the BS fee they charge to check your balance on THEIR ATM when their mobile app isn't working. What a joke! read more

I wouldn't even give this bank 1 star. If you get paid on a Fri and your company rekeases the funds on Thurs Texell will not release it til Fri in less you pay them 30 bucks. I get up at 6 am this morning and my income tax was deposited a day early. It showed in my account. I check back right after 7 and it's gone. So they actually put it in my account and took it back out so they could try and charge me to get it a day early too. We already opened up an account at first Convenience. We will close this one out after only using it for 6 months. read more
