Still my favorite booking/scheduling service in the business. I can't say they're perfect and I've had my differences with them on one or two occasions. However they've never left me hanging since the new management took over a few years ago. They might not be L.A. nice (i.e. nice personality) but they're definitely N.Y. (nice as in I've never worried about my bills with them. They're the oldest firm in the business meaning the have some of the deepest relationships with extras casting directors. When asked on set how I like Extras, I've always said such positive things. Truth be told, I was one of the few on set who seemed to not have issues with them. I got booked 2-5 times a week. I was reliable. Always on time. Always well behaved. Never got in trouble. Rebooked on several shows. Extras even seemed to solve issues for me whether it was my bad or theirs. I never had the problems that others on set complained so much about. Things will come up and you can't avoid them, however, you can prevent from being viewed as "unreliable" by a calling service's and the entertainment industry's standards. - If you are booked through Extras find yourself sick after being booked, call the agency that booked you, (i.e. if you were booked by Central Casting, call their line.) They will often just take you off the call, no questions asked. I have heard people say they've gotten some sass by Extras when they've called in sick directly to them. They will even put you under review and deem you unavailable. - If you are running late, CALL the agency! Even if you think you are going to arrive just a few minutes after your call time, it is so important to make sure you avoid getting yelled at for being late or risk the possibility of not being booked again on that particular show. - Don't talk back to crew members. Sometimes you have no other choice but to speak up. We all know that many of them are ungrateful and entitled to yell at hardworking little extras like you, but remember that they probably secretly hate themselves and that is something you cannot change. I think this a lot about the worst crew members and it makes me happy and doesn't harm anyone. - Don't hope that Extras won't book you on a day that you need to be made unavailable because if you are made available, then you have to commit to what you are booked on. Call them as soon as possible. - If there is something you don't feel comfortable with, then don't list yourself as willing to do it. If you don't feel comfortable portraying a lesbian couple holding hands, mark it off. If you don't want to travel long distances, mark it off. If you have a loser ex-boyfriend in Orange County and don't want to be anywhere within a five mile radius of him, request not to be booked in that location. I was morning calls only, no back to backs, no audience work, Los Angeles area only and I still got booked a ton. There's work everywhere, you may be missing some, but not a whole lot. If you can somehow mark off "no commercials" too, then that would be wonderful and tell me about it so I can pinch myself for not attempting to do it the first time around. I am not happy with the way I chose to end my service with Extras. While I was with them though, they were great to me, and if anybody asks, I will always hold up to that. Extras made my final few months as a background actor one filled with a lot of memories and experiences that I will always value. Craft services will be missed. read more

They can be good in rare circumstances, but they desperately need to upgrade their systems. Extras Management often feels like a step away from being outright con artists. They need to have a way for people to update their availability online and not call in directly. There are far too many problems that result from this. From them booking on days where you were not available to a general lack of booking. You cannot depend on them for any kind of consistent work, so you when have to look elsewhere and they don't update, problems compound upon each other. I have had good jobs, but they really need to make some improvements to the almost archaic system they have in place. They can be horribly unprofessional on any given day and charge a lot for their services. Go with Face2Face if you can or try someone better if you can find them. read more

Extras Management does not have an employee service agreement with SAG therefore Extras Management takes advantage of it's clients the actors. Actors pay central casting through Extras Management to acquire them work. Yet they do not honor the SAG/AFTRA actors as professionals. Many times actors are treated unfairly simply because they have no recourse against Central if terminated. Sag/Aftra does not even have the power over Central Casting to compel them to reinstate an actor if terminated. Central Casting was taking money illegally from actors for years until the L.A. City Attorney ordered Central to terminate it's illegal activities. Central may be one of the largest casting companies in L.A. however they do not conduct themselves accordingly toward the talent which they use and toss away once any given conflicting situation arises allowing them the excuse to terminate any actor. There is no suspension policy or any recourse what so ever for an actor much less a SAG actor if terminated by Extras Management and Central Casting which holds a majority of the background work for ransom through intimidation and their calling service sister company Extras Management. Hopefully with the growth of social media, actors will be better able to connect with productions and acquire work without using calling services like Extras Management or Central Casting. It's basically a monopoly between central casting and extras management. Central still makes you call to book so you can hire a calling service, so the company can make more money. Calling in Manually may be a hassle but it's worth it due to saving an extra 100$ a month. Most of the time a calling service is only going to book you in high season Once I called to cancel due to me deciding it wasn't worth to have a calling service The caller Pam was very rude. Once I told her I wanted to cancel she gave me attitude which pissed me off but I kept my cool. Don't go here, yes they might make life easier for you but they only care about your money here that's why they treat you extra nice during the sign up process and rude after, up to you if you want to continue this monopoly If you want to be an actor you don't need a calling service only if you want to be a background actor to make that clear for some people. I love Extras! BG work can be a drag at times but with a service like this you feel nothing but gratitude for the easy work. I was with another service, about $15 cheaper but it sucked! First off, Extras on charges you for the percentage of the month that you work. If they don't book you, or you're out of town, you'll only pay 15-50% of the $84/mo - so it ends up being more affordable. They also have no problem changing your schedule over and over, and are super clear with booking instructions. Feels like they care about background talent WHICH IS NEVER THE CASE IN THIS INDUSTRY lol. These guys will get you a lot of work....for about 6 weeks, to keep you paying for work from their other company called Central Casting(although they hide that with sophisticated legal/business maneuvering which those in the labor dept and LA city attorneys office either look the other way at or are paid off, can you say undercover op needed?) All these services are in on the scam and almost all of them have former Central employees etc in charge. Fishy indeed. -They make a lot of mistakes like giving wrong information, I was told I was booked for a commercial on the wrong day, a sunday, and they never even bothered to apologize or credit me for it. I was in trouble for that. I had a NO FITTINGS and certain no areas too far for minimum wage to drive. I was ALWAYS given fittings and had to call and inform them of what was in their OWN SYSTEM from their OWN preferences questionnaire. I was told one time they'd take it as a favor, hm well I was never given any favor back by these jackals and liars. They got 2 weeks of pay for doing nothing for me since they were so bad I had to move on, thanks crooks. -Kevin, that jewel, is really rude and treats you like a peice of meat, even threatening to call around and blackball you with everyone in bg casting. Had a problem with not getting paid by a job from one of the little cd's who suck generally and no help from either one. Had to go with a Labor Dept case to get paid months later with a hefty fine collected too. -Kevin talks about "loyal" customers if you leave too often, what if I have other contract employment that I do and only do this 6 months at a time? Sorry. I was with them for a while and 6 months later wanted to come back but I guess I'm not "loyal" because I do contract work in another industry, jerk. Oh don't worry Kevy I get bg work AND make way more doing other contract work. -Way overpriced compared to others with poor service making so many mistakes getting you into trouble with their sister company Central Casting, they're right across the street and always have hawkers out there during registration for their service, pretty blatant. -NO LIVE/ACCURATE ONLINE SYSTEM, this is inexcusable for being the highest priced service out there. Most others have live online so you can call yourself and get booked when it's slow and know for sure you're not booked from the website and then make yourself unavailable easily. If you book yourself and they book you 20 mins(taking their word for it) before you are expected to cancel and get yourself into trouble, AND you'll be in trouble with EM, whom you are paying 85 per month! THEY'RE DOING YOU A FAVOR in their demented minds. -Without a Central controlled pay service like this one you'll only get around 1 day per week, this is a planned money train which is lucrative but illegal as heck. -You are just meat holding money that they want, lots and lots of money. They are like their own mothers, they take anybody. (6/14/12) I came here a few hours ago to write a review about how nice the registration process was. I just signed up yesterday and wanted to share my experience. But while I was typing I got a message. I was booked to work tomorrow. How lucky am I :) I am hurting so bad for work what a nice surprise! (6/25/12) Ok, it's now over a week later and I'm just having time to finish this review. Giving availability of Sun-Sat I've been booked 4 times in 10 days. I also know last wk they were trying to book me for a 3-day shoot starting today but I guess production changed the schedule. So thus far, Extras Mgt has far exceeded my expectations. I wasn't even supposed to be in the system for 3 biz days and yet I was up, running, and booked in less than 24hrs! When I had to call in with a schedule update I told them I didn't yet have my ID#. "You don't need it, we prefer to call you by name." I've had to call several times and I was treated in a very respectful and friendly manner. Fellow Extras Mgt actors I've met on set have said "It hasn't felt like hiatus at all!" As I'm typing this just got booked for tomorrow :) YAY! Personal Notes ~ If you are looking for glamorous work, this might not be your path. If you like the royal treatment, this may not work for you. But if you are willing to work hard with a positive attitude, I highly recommend this calling service. If you are a sensitive person who takes everything that happens personally, you'll need to adjust that. One day on set I was having so much fun I didn't want to be wrapped. I heard they were going to pick a few peo to stay late for another scene so I eagerly volunteered but was told "I can't pick you." I saw people being chosen who looked miserable and had been hiding in holding all day. The AD saw my confusion and was nice enough to pull me aside. "I need people who can portray strung-out drug addicts. Be thankful I can't pick you!" Best of luck and just remember to never take anything personally. It's been my experience this business is all about right place, right time, right look. I signed up for them 3 weeks ago. The registration process was a pain in the *%^. I was there from 1-2 for their orientation. Then I was there until 5 for them just to process the paperwork and take a simple photo of me. Maybe if they had 2 people instead of just 1 processing it it wouldn't take THREE HOURS. There were only like 15 of us there registering. Ridiculous. In addition, I didn't get booked on anything for the first week with them. You have 10 days to get a full refund and I was just about to go ask for mine when they booked me on something (FINALLY). Then another week went by. Booked on just one thing. Now? Crickets. Chirp chirp. WTF why am I not being booked on anything? I am early 20s, caucasian, non-union, and normal sized. There is NO REASON I shouldn't be booked every day. Whenever I call Central Casting myself I get booked. DON'T USE THEM. Waste of $79. read more

They don't give you access to your online profile that also has your availability calendar. If you make frequent changes to your availability on certain dates, they will reply to you acknowledging as "confirmed" but they make mistakes and you have no idea if they got it right! For example, you ask them to mark you "available" then "unavailable" and then again "available", they might still mark you as "unavailable" but will reply to your e-mail saying "confirmed". So, you will not get booked on days that you're available. You have to rely on them which is not a good idea. There are several bookers working there and mistakes are bound to happen. In contrast, other calling services such as Face 2 Face and Booked Talent have an online portal that you can access and update whenever you want. You need the visibility of your bookings and availability to make frequent changes and Extras Management is way behind. Also, in case you fall sick or have an urgency and cannot go to the job that you booked then you would have to provide evidence for them to believe you. They suspend your account for days until you provide the evidence. You pay them to work for them but it's the other way round. Other calling services do not suspend your account. Also, if you have any restrictions such as you don't want to be booked for certain productions or counties, they book you anyway and then you have to remind them so then they call the casting director to take you off and it just affects your reputation in front of the casting director for future bookings. I had a horrible experience with them and would never go back. read more

Instead of my opinions or how I feel about this establishment, I'll exclusively stick to the facts, as credibility exists only in truth: 1. I paid 85 dollars to join Extras! Management in September ($75 for the monthly charge, $10 for a one-time photo fee). 2. Since then I have been booked for exactly one job. (To elaborate; in the 45 days since I joined them, Extras! Management has only booked me for one background job.) 3. The base wage for extra-work is $64 for 8 hours. 4. $85 minus $64 is $21. 5. I have earned NEGATIVE $21 (before taxes) 6. It is impossible to make a profit through a business if you are paying more than you are earning. 7. Extras! Management makes the same amount of money whether you work one day or 30 days in a month. (Question for consideration: WHY would they bother to work harder than they have to...?) 8. If I could do it again, I WOULD NOT sign up with Extras! Management. PS If you are reading this than you may have noticed that myself and NINETEEN OTHER REVIEWS WERE FILTERED; averaging only TWO STARS compared to the 3+ that is displayed on the "legit reviews" side. Totally worth the money!!! Yes they charge a monthly fee, but for the amount of work they do FOR YOU, it's definitely worth it!!! Registration doesn't take long really. The woman in charge of orientation/registration is wonderful. Sorry I can't remember your name, but she's the nicest person ever haha! Plus, every time I call in for any reason they are all super nice on the phones. There's nothing more satisfying then exceptional customer service! Had a little slow start, but once I signed up with Central Casting (across the street and it's free) I've been booked everyday this week! Haven't worked everyday because some shows have cancelled or rescheduled, but that wasn't Extras fault. They still managed to book me everyday and get me well paying jobs! Worst call in service in LA. They have way more clientele then they can handle so the chances of you getting a job are far and few between. In 2 years I was never late, never missed a call and never had a problem on set. I'm a white male and have a typical all American look, 6'1 muscular athletic with model looks. Available 7 days a week with no restrictions. I was booked once every two weeks at most, usually once a month so they can charge you their fee of $85. The shows I would get booked on was because I developed a rapport with the CD for that particular show and they would call EM specifically for me. Their customer service is non existent and rude. It's really a joke. They act like your supposed to be grateful to them for submitting you. Hello???!! McFly???! I'm paying you! That's your fn job! I wouldn't even call it customer service. They act like you're bothering them and couldn't care less if you have an inquiry about anything. Not worth the time, money or aggravation. Got a job last wednesday doing a bud light commercial with Justin Timberlake, so yeah this is the real deal. So if you decide to sign up say " Nancy Lucca" referred you and I'll get a free month. Only reason why I'm giving them 3 stars is because I had pretty much open availability for January and only got booked 3 times in a month. Hello Everyone: I finally made up my mind to sign up with Extra mangement. After hitting that redial button for 2 hours on Monday, I was trying to get work for a shoot downtown LA. for Tuesday. I never got through. Tuesday, 11:30am I arrived at Extra Mangement. So, I went across the street to Central Casting just to update a photo. Wow, with so, many new people signing up everyday. It's no wonder I can't ever get through the work lines. Man, those 2 lines were long. I stood in line for 5 Minutes this is not going to work. Of Course, I was stopped by a person trying to sign me up for EM. I told them that were I'm heading now. Made it in plenty of time. PS: Many times people are late, because they just found out about EM by the person solicting. read more

Unlike becoming a doctor or lawyer,where you go to school and then start your practice, there is no right or wrong way to becoming an actor. This fact makes it is so easy for people to take advantage of actors. We are all looking for ways to "make it" or succeed, and will often become victim to places that charge for free services, charge too much for other services, or lead actors to believe they will get work when they won't. This place is up there with paying an agent before you get work, or paying 700 dollars for headshots. They make you pay before you even get work. Then when I did finally get a job I only got one day of work in a month and when I got to set I overheard a whole table of people talking about how they are with Extras Management and they only work the required minuimum 2 days a month (if you work one day a month you "only" owe 40 dollars.) so EM still gets their full check but the unfortunate extras only get 2 days of work. NOT enough to support themselves for a even week, let alone support kids or get new headshots printed. The worst thing about EM, though, to me, is that they are a monopoly. They can afford to be rude on the phone when you call (DO NOT call and ask them what you can do to get more work, even though YOU are paying THEM, unless you want some chick named Gypsy [yes, really] to act like she would rather you die than to have to speak to you). And on top of that, because of the abundance of people without jobs right now, there has been a huge influx of people signing up for extra work. Think about it: you need no experience, no background check, no references. So EM has no problem with you paying for one or two months and leaving because you only worked 2 days (or less!). Even if you are booked out they book or double book and then place the blame on you. Save your hard earned money and find a different service. I signed up with Extras Management in Nov of 2016. They have been a great service. I have been booked on many shows, I even got my 3 Sag vouchers within 3 months. Its a Service and a tool. Its up to you to make it work. A lil bit of Advice for all entering the background, Entertainment Business. Take action and be humble, no attitudes and no whining, if you want to succeed do what the others aren't doing. Get up Early Train everyday. Prepare yourselves and you will make it happen. I signed up with Extras Management immediately after registering with Central Casting. I was still relatively new being back to LA, and thought that signing up to do extra work would help me get some vouchers, on-set experience and a bit of extra cash. Extras Management is one out of many calling services in LA for extra work. They call themselves a talent agency because they are the ones looking to book you, such that you don't have to do it yourself. It's a sort of intermediary between Central Casting-from which the majority of your work will come-and other castings looking for extras. As someone that already spends a lot of time online sorting through several different casting boards for non-union, principal/supporting work, signing up with this calling service is a bit of a relief. That way, I don't have to go through the same mundane process of applying for extra work, as I do for the regular, non-union stuff for hours per week. There is a charge to be a part of this service. However, if you don't book enough to cover the cost, they prorate their charge accordingly. I thought this was fair. I didn't get too much work from them. Maybe it's because I had only one outfit to take my profile shot. Also, I greatly limited my availability to leave time for a job where I make a huge part of my money. So eventually, I cancelled the service, in part due to lack of interest and a forthcoming move. Also, it's debatable as to whether extra work on set will help you "break in" into the "real acting" world. I think in LA, it's definitely possible given the high-profile projects that Extras Management books for its clients but I'd venture to guess that this type of "break out" is extremely rare. As an aspiring actor, I think extra work is a waste of time. You are better off honing your craft via more substantive work, even if it's work done in a class. However, if you want some easy extra cash or if being on-set of some famous tv show is a dream come true to you, then you should do extra work. And if you need an intermediary to help book you so you do not have to deal with Central Casting directly, I would definitely recommend utilizing Extras Management. I been with Extra Management for a while. All I can say is if you are union good luck to you. If you think EM will book you like people stating here that they are getting book 2-4 times a week then you are wrong. I been with EM for a long time if I be lucky I will get book once in 2-3 months. If you reading all the positive 4-5 star people claiming extra management is soooo good that they been booking them a lot cause they are non union making $64/8. I've talked to people on set are union, it is amazing when you know who is EM favorite and who is not by how many times they work in a week. Extra Management staffs have there favorites. If you are not one of there favorites you never get book, if you lucky you get 1 or 2 job in a month to pay them $79 monthly fee. I follow EM policies and rules when I go to set. Never late and never make troubles. Im alway on set 1 hour before my call time and always professional. I did everything what EM stated in there policies and still not getting book. This is a fraudulent business. They charge $84 a month and if they get you a minimum of 2 jobs you have to pay $84. Now guess what? How many jobs do you think they get you every month? That's right. The answer is 2. They do this to all of their members that I have talked to and get them 2 jobs a month to make sure they make the $84 and after that they stopped getting you work. Extras Management can and will drop you for no reason after you've given them your money for months. There are cheaper booking services out there who don't do that. Extras Management booked me for a day that I had specifically listed as busy, then when I called them on it, they informed me that I was banned forever. On set, I've heard similar stories from other extras about Extras Management flat out lying to cover their own asses when they've messed up. read more

There are a lot of fans of this place, but I'm going to try to write an even handed review that doesn't paint any overly sunny or mean pictures of them. I will also only make one direct reference to what has already been written and that's to the person who said "it's a lie that they ask for money up front and this should be taken off". I don't know why this guy would call that a lie when anyone walking into Extras will be told on the first meeting that they charge a $75 per month subscription fee for the service and you will be paying that on the day you sign up (in addition to a one time $10 fee). That is payment. In advance. They make no secret of this. It's a subscription service. If they don't get you at least two gigs a month, some of it will be cut off for the NEXT month, but it won't be refunded. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, but please don't lie to people. Now on to my experience. Please read it all, because this isn't going to be a "bash" of the service, it's just the straight truth. I have been signed up with them for a four months now and they have already had to give me the discount rate once because they didn't place me enough. They only have to place you two times in a MONTH to keep the full rate for the next month. I've given them full availablity with the exception of one or two days here and there over the course of time, yet they will go WEEKS without contacting me with jobs. I'm an AFTRA member and they have YET to place me on ONE AFTRA job. Not one. There has been one SAG voucher job, which is good money, but that's the only union work I've gotten in the four months I've been with them. This may be because I am a person of colour and it's harder to place us as background (I doubt that, but I'm offering it as an excuse for them). It may be because of my age (doubt again, because I can pass for anything from 30-50 without much effort). I don't know why it is. It's just a fact . My wife is in her 20's and White and has been signed up with them for a month and they haven't called her once. She is available three days a week and told them this prior to signing up. She asked them if this would hinder them from meeting their commitment and they indicated (strongly) that it would not. She also told them that she wouldn't be available for scenes involving skimpy outfits or to be audience in game shows and they told her this wouldn't harm her chances. Yet, there hasn't been one call for her. Incidentally, they offer a free month subscription to anyone who refers a new member. I referred my wife. My subscrition will be free next month, I believe, but the trade off appears to be that they haven't called me for any jobs and they haven't called my wife at all. So, I'll be getting a free month for practically no service for me and ABSOLUTELY no service for my wife. Now, I do have one friend who is working very consistantly because of them. He works almost every day. He, however, is the ONLY person I know who gets this kind of result. Most people I've spoken to are in the same boat as me. Like I said, I'm not bashing these guys- they offer work to the unemployed in a city that seems to have no jobs available- but they offer very little of it and it is at a price. If you have "the look", I'm sure they will do well by you (especially if you are "18 to look younger" or have a "hot bod" are willing to do semi-nude for the camera). I'm just here to offer my experience. And, so far, my experience is not good. read more

If you want to be treated without an ounce of professionalism then please sign up with extras. Their favorite thing to do is explain for ten minutes how stupid you are. Not to mention they will always make sure to send you out on only ONE job a month. If it was zero then you only have to pay 13 that month and if you work only ONE time it's 44 that month. so far not impressed with this place that works w central casting. if u look alot younger like me (and im not just saying this but i look alot younger), they will put your age range on the higher end. if they send me out for the age range they set me for, the production team will laugh. i dont like how they are so impersonal and so far ive gotten no work and prob due to the fact they put my age range so high. will def cancel at the end of this month. have better luck submitting myself thru lacasting plus i can submit myself for age ranges i actually look like! ugh! and their headshots they take of u are terrible! ive gotten passport photos better looking! read more

From my side i already paid to you full price for service from 04-15-2016 till 05-15-2016(respectively, till the payment of the new month of service), your company it's service which submit a people on a show, i'm a your client which paid to you the full price. I have been with this service for years with no problem. However, after some production lied that I had my phone on set, it was in my car, and that I was difficult, Extras banned me. I emailed my side of the story, but they didn't believe me. I can't believe that I wasted my money on a calling service so expensive and with rude employees. They didn't care that I have had a good record, not being late, they believed lies from another show. read more

Extras Management is a truly professional office. Kevin and his staff go above and beyond and work FOR you. If you are a professional Union Actor, look no further. I have been with Extras for a while now and it's one of the best career decisions I've made. Registration is easy and yes, while you'll have to sit and listen to policies, it is in your best interest to take it serious and be professional. I've been with Extras Management a couple months and so far love it. They have been getting very regular work for me while being flexible with schedule as long as I tell them ahead of time (though note your look and demographic group can affect amount of work you get). Am enjoying being on set and meeting fun interesting people. Extras staff is competent, organized, and remembers you. They are also the oldest/most established background calling service around. And they also allow you to come back for additional pictures to be taken. Can also have pics of specific roles taken (western, police officer, nurse, etc.). If you register, you and others registering that day, go through an orientation then have pictures taken immediately after. So be sure to bring a few changes of clothes with you, though nothing totally white or with crazy bright patterns since these are generally discouraged for background. It helps to know which days of the week you are available (whole days, not partial) to tell them. At time of this post, cost is $84 per month (check with them for current cost), but if they book you only once it is less and if not at all is only $14, so not much to lose. If you refer others who join, you get a free month. You are paid by being mailed checks from the Production's (tv show, etc.) payroll company/dept. typically in 2 to 3 weeks of the job it seems. Some tips for background acting/BG calling services: Be responsive to EM!'s texts/emails/calls, always on time (early even, gotta love that LA traffic...and allow time for the Production's shuttle (if you can't park on set) take you from parking to set/check-in location as they count when you check in, not when 8you get to their shuttle), look alert/engaged on jobs, easy to not be when you spend half the time waiting around, don't expect to become picked out to be a star doing background (extra work), but do take advantage of networking with your fellow background, and of getting more "featured background" opportunities on the spot, if you are doing a good job and paying attention. Read EM!'s newsletters attached to email that contains the the bill statements...are informative/written by the owner. Also note busier/slower times and plan accordingly (hiatus, etc.). Generally you get booked the day prior (or sometimes a few days prior) so must ok with that planning-wise. Sign up with Central Casting (an established background casting company related to EM!) across the street, as much of EM!'s work come from them. To do so, line up early around 5 or 6 am on a weekday despite doors not opening until 9ish as of time of this writing (some are even there 4 am), as every weekday, many are not let in due to shortage of space inside for registration. Contact Central Casting to find out current registration times. Expect a long line! You'll take a picture there as well. Completely and absolutely worth it! I don't know if I can properly express how thankful I am to them. I have been registered with them for 3 weeks now and have worked EVERY SINGLE DAY that I was available. I have a really open schedule, so I've been available a lot. The only days I haven't worked are days that I called to make myself unavailable. It's been wonderful. The staff have been great too. Hello, I have been working background for almost a year now and am registered with the top 3 companies for casting. I have also been with Extras Management and do not recommend joining them. They allow everyone to join and will barely submit you for work. If you like like being overcharged and sit in an audience doing audience work once a week, then this place is for you. Otherwise, I advise you to go somewhere else where they are more selective in who they let join and have more ability to get you work. read more

When I first looked to hire a call-in service I went with the highest rated one on Yelp.Wrong decision. In 8 months with that call in service they booked me at most 2-6 times/month. I ended up booking myself more than them which made having a membership with them pointless. Since I switched over to extras I haven't had to worry about calling myself and in the Last week have been booked 4 out of 5 available days. Idk why Extras has such a low rating on here but I'm guessing it probably has something to do with people not being able to follow rules. If you're "bookable" and looking to work consistently this is a great option. read more
