not impressed. sat there for two hours to be told they did not get my parts needed. waited two more weeks and the new faceplate was wrong color. then had a blown speak. was told it would take four hours of labor at &135 an hour plus &90 for speakers. That $640 plus tax. did it myself in two hours at home and got the same speakers for $26 cheaper. sounds like price gouging to me. read more

They stand behind the products they sell and install. In my case, a remote starter had not worked in years. I assumed it was broken beyond repair. Not so, for the skilled technician at Extreme Audio. He was able to quickly identify the issue and made the repair under warranty. Not so much as a shop or diagnostic fee. If you've never had an audio system put in your car than this review is not for you. So I was looking around for audio system for my motorcycle this time around. I usually go out of town to get stuff like this done on my car. But I figured I try in state. Seen another guy had what I was planning on getting done to my bike. Asked where he had it done at, he said extreme audio. Crazy thing is, I had already look in to them online. But after he gave me the info on his set up, I said ok cool. Called the shop, asked the normal questions they were answer. I went up there, no bike cuz it rained. Heard a couple of setups and was convinced I was gonna work with them. Now let's talk price, I had no idea bike system would hit you for the prices they do, aftermarket especially. So I still said ok. Made a down payment to hold my appointment. Took about a week to get in cuz of work of course, no fault of theirs. Said they'd been done in a day. Ok, drop bike off, done the same day. Now let's talk about the stares and thumbs up I get. Both are telling me my system is nice. I pull up to the screen, and it's like a bike show vs a meet. Now I don't have the baddest or the greatest, but I can say this, it's loud clear and ppl are dancing n singing as I ride by. I'd have to say overall this will prob be one of the best purchases I'll most likely make for my bike. It's just that great. read more

After being ignored for twenty minutes at a local big box store (not one person appeared in the car electronics area, even after being paged) I left and remembered Extreme Audio. I was concerned they were only into the extreme side of the business but was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted warmly, my needs were determined, and within an hour I was out the door with an installed radio at a fair price. The people are nice there. However, I spent 600$ , less than a month ago buying a remote start that didn't stay on when you opened the door of the car. It stopped working after only one week. I went back and was offered a remote start that will stay on when you open the door. I had to pay an extra 237 dollars. I regret buying it from here. I should not have been charged again for a service that i paid for less than a month ago. Not good business. This is unfortunate because i liked the owner. read more

My point of contact, James Roper, could not have been more helpful & patient with my questions. He also responded professionally by email to my first inquiry. That makes a good impression. I'm new to this store but was impressed by my first interactions with them. Good stuff. Update to my review: I ultimately did not use this company because I believe their rates were way too high. Way over-charging for hardware and installation rates. I found someone else to do it for more than half the price and I bought the hardware myself elsewhere. Getting a speech about the value of their warranty (when that value is reflected in a huge price) doesn't do it for me. I trust they know their stuff. Just priced way too high. Also did not use them for window tinting for the same reason. I ended up finding a contractor who did the job just fine for about 1/3 of the price. I tried to negotiate with this shop but instead received a lecture about how everyone else sucks. read more

He quoted a price for what I wanted and took an appointment based on my convenience. The work took the amount of time he predicted. He spent time to demonstrate the controls and answer any questions. I originally was sent to Extreme Audio in Mechanicsville by a company out of California to install a Power Seat Base and Heated seats in my 2012 Shelby GT500. The installation was performed PERFECTLY and as promised per schedule a little over a year ago. Fast Forward to Sept 2014. I purchased a nice but older Ford Explorer that needed a new radio and did NOT have Remote Locks. I contacted Extreme Audio to see what OPTIONS I might have for a Radio with Bluetooth, and Remote Locks. I worked with James via email to explore options, and went to the store to finalize what I wanted. They did NOT try to upsell me in any way (like many other Audio shops), they DID explain completely and answered ALL my questions so I could make my purchase decision. They installed an Alpine stereo with Bluetooth, and a Remote Lock and Start system. Wonderful Location, People, Parts, and Service. I WILL be back when I need MORE Audio or Interior GOODIES. read more
