It's easily the most accessible and efficient GSSF match layout I've ever shot. First time here! It's normally $30 to get in, you can either compete the form online prior to coming in or when you get there. Then they open up the gate for you and go to the range. 9 states, 3 countries and thousands of rounds later. I find the Northern Texas Mecca for shooting. The staff here are 100% the nicest. If I'm not mistaken it's ran by a couple of families. Memberships are $600 a year last I checked, DAILY pass is $30. There are lots of bays for pistol, several for rifle/LARPing, most bays have atleast some kind of shade/cover and bench. Restrooms are porta-shitters, plan accordingly. Memberships gets you complete access to the whole range, non members I don't think can get access to the 1200 yd range, that might also be Bro science. Now to address the two negative comments. As the gun shop commando mega super sniper pointed out, yeah they're not gonna let you use the 1200 range without verifying you can use it. You're on top of a hill with farms all over the place, not that you can easily hit them, but no they don't want you to walk up there with a TAC-50 pretending your Carlos Hathcock. Two the other dude ran off to his husband in the car...cuz rounds whizzing by, those are called ricochets sweet heart that's a round tumbling at high velocity, you'll be fine....welcome to the suck. ETTS is my home range for 3 key reasons: 1. Management is phenomenal! It clearly shows that they care about their facilities and they are always very accommodating. 2. No A-hole range officers with unnecessarily huge egos to deal with 3. Private pistol and tac bays If you visit ETTS be sure to respect the rules and don't do anything stupid!! I am a United States Army sniper for the last 6 years in a sniper Section from 25th infantry division and 1st armored division, I went there today because I am here visiting family and currently stationed in fort benning Georgia and this place won't make any exceptions to shoot on the rifle range unless You Are an annual member to the range. Which what kind of place has the audacity to fly all these ARMY unit flags to and show any kind of Military support to basically tell the active military to fuck off when they show Up to try and use them to hone skills and get practice unless I pay 600 bucks for a membership, considering it's Virtually not even close to a military base. Literally anything you could need to practice shooting, you can shoot here. The pistol and short range rifle bays are fine, but this range is using bait and switch advertising to lure people here. Their website brags about rifle ranges out to 1000 yards. When you show up to shoot, they tell you that only members are allowed to shoot further than 200 yards, and a membership costs $700. If they want to restrict certain ranges for members only, that is stupid, but ultimately their decision. However, they should make this very clear on their website. I even called and spoke to them on the phone about getting a day-pass, and they failed to tell me that my access would be limited. read more

Always a great time at ETTS! Was met by Bryan when I was waiting for my uncles and cousin to show up and he told me to hop in his truck and gave me a tour of the grounds. He was super friendly and everyone I've come across there was super nice. I purchased a membership and make it out as often as I can bringing new people with me every time. I was never a fan of indoor ranges and here you can practice all types of drills and not be bothered by a range master. They are running a top notch operation and I'm a proud supporter. read more

Great range, most friendly staff, but I didn't feel safe. Let me explain. The staff took us on a tour and was very friendly. I loved that the range because it is outside and that they had steel, paper, and walls/obstacles for competition shooting. We had bay 6 with the steel targets which had steel with walls/rooms. It was an awesome set up! As we were finishing up I was under the cover at the workbench when I heard a fast whistle close to my head. I looked around and didn't see anyone. I thought it might have just been an accidental shot, but then I heard it again even louder and I felt a slight wind whip by after the sound. I crouched down looked around and then I heard another whistle and BANG! Something hit the covering over my head. In shock I took a quick look around and ran to the car where my wife was. I told her about it and I heard another whistle. She said she heard 2 of the whistles with the car doors closed. She called the front office while ran back to the workbench/cover where I crammed all our stuff into a bag and ran back to the car. I started the car and we took off. The lady on the phone sounded calm, but also sounded like she didn't believe us. She had someone go take a look which was great. We drove back to the front and re-situated our gear. I walked into the check in place and told them the story. One guy said that he checked it out and it was pebbles or the metal jacket from the other side of the range. In my head I was thinking pebbles or the metal jacket would not sound like that fast whistle going by especially if it hit a target. So I asked two more times if he was sure that it wasn't accidental fire going over or through the dirt from the bay on the other side or behind me. He was leaned back, slouched over, with his hurt at the edge of the chair like after a long day of work and he dismissed by saying "yeah it was pebbles or a metal jacket flying over" with an attitude of you don't know what your talking about. To me it seemed like he didn't listen or even care. I enjoyed the place, the experience of shooting outside, the range set up and the staff member that gave us a tour, but the last guy and the thought of not feeling safe made me write this review and give ETTS 2 stars. If the guy would have at least listened and acted like it was a concern instead of brushing it off it would have been reassuring that they would really look into it. Because of this experience I'm sad to say that I won't be back and I can't in good conscious recommend the place because my wife and I don't feel safe at the range. It's a shame because it's such a nice range and most of the staff are friendly! read more

I'd heard good things, but I was quoted $300 for a 4 hour class but couldn't even get a call or email back after making a request....if this is how they treat good-paying potential customers, I'd rather find another facility happy to take my money. Awesome range were you can rent a bay for the day, they allow drawing from holsters, shoot them as you see them and movement. They also set up steel and or have a action pistol stage on a Bay you can shoot on alone. Make sure if the ground is wet , have 4wd, the bays get muddy read more

Attended an MP5 Operator's class here over the weekend and the staff was the friendliest and most accommodating folks I've ever met. Every hour or so, they'd come by the bay to make sure that everyone was doing ok, and would engage us in conversation. Not the typical snobby range personnel I've encountered elsewhere. My name is Brian James i just signed my family up for the range and made my first trip out Saturday and had a great time. Brian and the other guys that run the place are some great guys. They were extremely helpful to me and my grp they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We are fairly new to the long range game so they gave us a few pointers and had us hitting steel out to 900 yards. If it wasn't for the crappy weather I'm confident that we would have been able to hit the steel out to 1200, but we will be back next weekend to get it done. There is a lot of area to spread out and enjoy yourself out there. There are three tactical bays as well as three pistol a 100/200 yard rifle range and my favorite the BIG SHOW 300-1200 yard long range. I normally drive above 20 mins to elm fork and pay $40-$60 for us to shoot at just 100 yards rifle if I wanna add pistols or the tactical bay it's another $30-$40 but I can drive just over an HR and it cost me $69 a month for the entire family and can bring guest for just $20 a trip and u can use the whole place. I thought question it is the best bang for your buck I'd suggest it to anyone who enjoys shooting the drive is 100% worth it. read more
