I pulled up and found a decent spot almost immediately. Inside was busy but it ran smoothly. I walked in and the first thing I did was to go to the touchscreens and order my food. I then go about the store to pick up a few snacks, drinks, and other things I needed. Even though it was busy inside it just flowed correctly. There was hardly a snag anywhere. Checking out was fast. My food was ready after I made my rounds through the store. I was able to make this a quick stop and be on my way. The food was the norm for me and it hit the spot. Who can go wrong with two hot dogs and a side? And follow it up with a sweet tea.

Yet, after this place reported me to the police for theft that all changed. I have never once committed a crime. In fact I am usually the person who turns in people who steal. Even when my kids were young and they would take something I would take them back to return the item and apologize. Their lies have caused me severe anxiety and stress regardless of knowing I am innocent. My husband has stopped giving this place any money. We now will drive up to half an hour to get what we normally get at this place at another place. I have also had my friends who know my character also have ceased spending money at this place. I hate people who steal. Yet, this store has accused me of stealing a drink from them. They have never once approached me. I will do everything to prove I have never stolen a thing. When I came in I said hello to the clerk, but received no response. After that, I got a couple of granola bars and a drink. I found both of those items easily as the store was nicely spaced. However, the nice spacing does not make up for the limited food options. For example, they don't have any areas where you can order a fresh sandwich, but rather a selection of pre-made items. They also had an icee machine, but it did not look like it was frequently cleaned as dirty cups were lying around the machines. This Turkey Hill sells gas as well, but don't expect anything quick as it is usually packed with guests from Hershey Park.

This is what they call a legacy store. It is old, tired and smaller than the new shiny stores. It's…read morenot new and fancy. It's the kind of store you might drive by and never give a second thought. However, it would be shame to do so. I stopped here out of necessity, not necessarily choice, and I was amazed. This store is clean! Outside trash cans were clean and empty. Parking lot was picked up and well marked. The restrooms were shiny, clean and sanitary. The coffee bar was neatly and completely stocked with a great variety of options and flavors. Every coffee was fresh and selections were numerous. The coffee bar was clean. The coolers were clean, floors were clean, and shelves were fronted and well stocked. The manager was there and I complimented her on her hard work. She and another employee explained how they take pride in their store and in the safety of their food service. Their thoughts were genuine and borne out of a desire to provide quality food service to their customers. Though this store is a chain convenience store, it is run with the pride and care congruent with a family business. If you are a fan of Turkey Hill, this is one worth putting on your list of places to shop.

Not just any slushies... actual Slush Puppies. The kind with that perfect crunchy ice that instantly throws you back to childhood. If you know, you know. They don't look like the old school machines, but somehow the taste is spot on. I usually go for blue raspberry + coconut, but this time I tried their Tiger's Blood (strawberry + coconut) and added a little of another fruity flavor on top... and wow. That combo was dangerously good. As for the rest it's very much a typical mini-mart gas station. Clean, stocked with the usual stuff (lottery, tobacco, snacks, even those random machines), nothing over the top. The only downside for me is the layout getting in and out. It sits right on a busy corner at a light, and if it's crowded, it can feel a little chaotic trying to maneuver around the pumps. But honestly? I'm not here for the gas. I'll happily deal with the traffic situation for a nostalgic, perfectly textured slush puppy any day. If you're anywhere near Jonestown and grew up loving those, do yourself a favor and stop in.
