It was very easy to make an appointment through email, actually. The place itself is a little bit difficult to find for your first time because the GPS just kind of drops you off in a plaza. It is to the left of Bashas and right next to an Italian eatery. The woman who did my eyebrows did a great job. What I loved is that she listened to me. I'm asking for something very simple, just to clean up in a little bit and do some shaping, as I usually do a good job on my own and just kind of need help shaping every once in a while. She listened, and I couldn't believe the price when she told me. $12. I will take that trip any day for $12 for an eyebrow! There is no bathroom so if you have to go to the bathroom go to Bashas like I did. She told me that she was new. The place itself is cute, pretty simple. Of course my GPS just dropped me off in the middle of the mall, so you want to look for the Honeybee Boba tea place and it's right next to Fast Fix Jewelry. Luckily, Rehana herself picks up the phone and she directed me on where exactly to go. Parking is readily available at the mall. It's $18 only to get your eyebrows threaded and I was in and out with no appointment in less than 10 minutes. It's quick, easy, she listened to what I wanted and did it in a heartbeat. She has another location in Mesa and she's opening a new one in Queen Creek. This location has been around for four years. She also sells jewelry and clothes. You get a punchcard that you can use towards the discounted service. She is super sweet and was so nice to my kids who joined me for the occasion! I've been coming here for almost 3 years and have always left happy...until this past Friday between 10-10:30 AM. There was only one lady working, an older woman with glasses. She was very kind, but unfortunately, this was the most painful threading session I've ever had. It felt like far too much hair was removed, and when she finished, she applied aloe without asking (something the other ladies usually do after checking if the customer wants it). When she handed me the mirror, I noticed my brows looked a little uneven, but since I was rushing to a doctor's appointment, I paid and left. Later, in better lighting, I was shocked. My brows were extremely thin...something I've never experienced here. I've always had naturally fuller brows, even though they've thinned slightly with age, and I take pride in keeping them that way. I honestly wanted to cry. I eventually called to share my concerns, and while no manager or owner was available, the girl who answered was very sweet and understanding. I explained what happened and suggested that the threaders be reminded to always confirm exactly what the customer wants...especially when someone asks for a simple clean-up. I know brows grow back, but this has been really upsetting, especially with an event I have next weekend. This is definitely a learning experience for me, and I just want to encourage others to be specific with their requests and, if possible, stick to a threader you trust for consistency.

I gave it a try knowing I took a chance as this is a new service they provided and it is very close to my house. I never expected to be missing part of my eyebrow as a result that is now not growing back and I have to consider alternatives like microblading so I can fill in the missing hair. Apparently, all of them were newly trained but clearly not well enough. They follow an instruction sheet as they are doing it. As someone who has done lamination many times, the girl who did my lamination said some questionable things during the process. For example, a vital part of lamination is the after care which I received zero information on. I would have been okay with that had my eyebrows been fine. Instead they have thinned out completely and my left is missing a part of the eyebrown that I now have to pencil in every day. It is very clear that they are doing this without solid training in the hopes that it turns out okay. Even when I went back to show them, the second girl had to follow the instruction sheet to see what might have gone wrong and seemed unsure of herself. Super disappointed that I have to now deal with the aftermath of how to get my eyebrows looking back to how they were before.
