When you go in you will be treated with very welcoming front desk and they call or text us to make sure come 15 min early to the appointment. When I have eye exam appointment it's really quick; you usually don't wait any longer than 5-10 min and get done in 20 min. They have a lot of modern technology like retinal screening that you don't need to dilate your eyes for exams to quickly get over the exam and it only takes few min. After everything was examined, the doctor (Dr. Carlin this time, Dr. Waguespack is great too) came out and explained everything and answered all my question. While everything was quick, it was not rushed and and I got a comprehensive assessment and clear feedback what I should be doing to better my eye health. The best part was the staff; the front desk was so nice, checked on my well being and made sure if my insurance was able to cover without asking. After ordering contacts she deliberately give me a lot of contact solutions to take home and I was so thankful. It was such a very good experience overall.

I needed a pair of contacts since I was not able to see and with this heat it's almost impossible to keep your eyeglasses on your face without it slipping off. I searched for the nearest optometrist office and this office popped up. Luckily, they were able to take me in very quickly, and Dr. Carlin was able to see me. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and very accommodating since I had my two littles one with me. I have really dry eyes so he gave me several pairs of trial contacts to try to see which one fits my eyes best. Dr. Carlin did a very thorough exam and explained everything to me. In between the exam he'll also check in with the kids to make sure they were not bored. Ihighly recommend this office and Dr. Carlin. His professionalism and his knowledge made me feel comfortable walking into this office, and knowing I'll receive the best service. Your eyes are really important so I'm glad I was able to take care of it with someone I can trust.

This resulted in my receiving injections in my neck without general sedation. It wasn't great. I would've appreciated someone telling me I needed to be NPO and if you don't know if I can eat, find out to give me an honest answer. Anyway Dr Patel is very nice and is working to squeeze me in for an earlier appointment for another needed procedure due to my leaving the state for work shortly. I appreciate everyone's concern and I feel like they are really trying to heal.

On the way to the office on the day of my appointment, their office called me again to reschedule. Since I was already two minutes out, I arrived anyway to make the appointment. They did get me in to see another doctor, but this person was not familiar with my medical history and failed to give me a thorough exam. I was told to come back in a few weeks for a follow-up MRI. In the weeks before the MRI, I received a letter in the mail stating that the MRI would need to be rescheduled. On the day before the (now rescheduled) MRI, their office called me stating that there was a major portion of my bill that wouldn't be covered by my insurance, and they refused to work out a payment plan that didn't involve at least a 50% payment; this was an obvious attempt to blackmail me into paying immediately, since they undoubtedly had this information in advance and waited until the last minute to inform me. I told them to cancel all my appointments as I wouldn't be dealing with them further. After three (3) appointment reschedules during what was a month and a half, I booked an appointment to see a neurologist at the Baton Rouge Clinic. I only had to wait 4 days to see a doctor who could spend the time to exam me thoroughly and do all the lab work I needed that same day. Having worked in the medical profession myself, I realize that it's a difficult and stressful life; that however does not compensate for unprofessionalism and incompetence. If you care about your health and finances, I recommend the Baton Rouge Clinic instead.

Appointments frequently ran behind schedule for nearly all of my appointments and there was little communication about delays, which made the experience frustrating. I was also concerned about professionalism. Treatment recommendations seemed inconsistent, and I left feeling unsure and not fully confident in the guidance provided. Billing was another issue. Fees were not clearly explained, and costs did not feel transparent. I was told my out of pocket portion and then was later billed for a far more expensive fee. I do understand insurances do not always pay what they say but this was not a discussion whatsoever. Overall, the experience felt more focused on charges than patient care. I hope the office can improve organization, communication, and overall professionalism.

Dr. Cox was very, very nice and down to earth. He explained everything to me about the procedure. And answered the questions I had and those I didn't lol. He made me feel very relaxed and comfortable in my decision to move forward. I felt that Dr. Cox was honest and realistic about the procedure. He told me exactly what I need to hear. He even drew a diagram to show me some of what would be done. He was very passionate about his job, and even more compassionate for his Patients. I was able to see Dr. Cox within a few days of scheduling my initial consultation. I did not wait long in the waiting room nor did I have to wait long for Dr. Cox to come into the room to begin the appointment. My husband and 2.5 year old daughter attended the appointment with me. Sometimes I feel it's not appropriate to bring children to appointments, but in this situation, I needed my husband to watch our daughter as well as be at the appointment with me. Dr. Cox and his nurse, Christi, were very welcoming and he was pleased to see my daughter. I was in the market to get a tummy tuck and possibly a beast augmentation. One of the best qualities about Dr. Cox is that he is realistic and he is honest. He doesn't give false hope and he doesn't promise something he knows is not attainable. We made small talk in between him examining me and even in my most vulnerable state of mind, I was so incredibly comfortable with Dr. Cox. You can tell that he is very passionate about his job and he is exceptionally compassionate for his patients and their families. I knew that Dr. Cox was an experienced board certified plastic surgeon and I had just assumed that experience came with a hefty price tag. I had called around to a few different plastic surgeon's just to get a baseline price for an abdominoplasty and the prices quoted were unrealistic. Dr. Cox is able to operate at his office-based surgery center that is focused on providing patients with the highest quality care, privacy, convenience and cost savings in a safe outpatient environment. I felt the price was reasonable and much more affordable considering the years of experience Dr. Cox has. He also offers a discount for paying cash versus paying with credit. The day of my surgery I was very nervous and Dr. Cox could tell. Dr. Cox was always empathetic of my feelings and had no problem listening to my fears. He reassured me he would take good care of me and that I was in good hands. The entire staff was very welcoming and nice. I ended up having a tummy tuck, muscle repair and liposuction. I am now 29 days post operation and I could not be happier. I know there is still some swelling, but I know it will go down over time. I am very pleased with the entire process. If i could give Dr. Cox 10/5 stars I would!
