Going here was honestly such a treat!! You get unique access to the owner Frank (honestly when do you ever get that?) who spends his time with you, and you know he wants to get it right. What a wonderful experience. Best eyeglass fitting I ever had and I'm 70. I just had a horrible experience at LensCrafters at the Galleria Mall. They told me I was legally blind and shouldn't drive. I didn't sleep all weekend until I was checked out by two specialists at Atwal. They laughed at my script from LensCrafters. They had me at 20/100 when it was really 20/40 because I have a cataract that will eventually be removed. Eye to Eye rechecked and got the same results and spent a lot of time getting my glasses just right. Eye to Eye put my mind at ease because Frank is very knowledgeable. LensCrafters could have destroyed my retirement years and I will never go back. UPDATE I was not quite happy with the prescription that was given to Frank by my specialist. It was not Franks fault at all but he worked with me until I was satisfied. He remade the glasses and did not charge me for doing so. The glasses fit fine and have all the bells and whistles, including digital anti-glare progressive lenses. They fit me perfectly and I am very happy with them. I understand why Franklin Senia, the owner/manager of Eye to Eye, has so many fans. Although I already knew the type of glasses I wanted, he took pains to explain the various modifications available and explained the technological advances that have taken place in his field. He made very careful and precise measurements of my gaze before ordering my glasses. He discounted some costs. He explained the warranties for his products. He is very much "old school" in that he clearly takes great pride in his work, and pride in being a man of his word. Maybe "The Customer Comes First" is an overworked phrase, but it holds true here. I came in for contact lenses and asked him in detail how it all works. He told me there is a fee that goes towards a purchase. So i go ahead and do it...and i half regretted it. He's prices are just way too high. I am all for supporting small businesses but i wound up paying 2x the price for 1 year supply of contacts and then he tries to deduct 1 pair from the order bc of my trial pair. After my complaint he did let me have my 1 year full order. Tdlr; He is expensive and comes off as a too much of a salesman. Talk about a very personal shopping experience. We called around 3 pm. Frank (the owner) just got back from vacation today (Sunday). He told us he could meet us at the store by 5. He quickly went through his selection and chose frames based on what he liked, what my brother liked, and what I liked. This is the tailor made feel at a clothing store. He went over pros and cons for all of the frames and lenses. The best part is, he didn't recommend getting things we didn't need. ie. the most intense glare reduction, nor the highest index ($$$) for a lens with my brother's prescription. The frames were $300 (standard fare), but we got a $100 discount for being first time buyers in the office. The best part- he's going to have the lenses ready in 1-2 days. I had an appointment at 2 but I went there early. Had to wait (of course, I got there earlier), but he was apologetic on the wait, with holding his two hands. I felt like I was treated as a king or queen as a customer. He went over a lot of things regarding contact lenses, eyes and glasses that I wouldn't have known unless he told me. I feel blessed for getting to know him. I've been to several other places, looking for cheaper prices. But by far, I haven't meet any other person who cares about his patients this much in many ways. He values qualities and suggests the best options I can choose. Frank took ample time to help me pick out frames, and also explained that my old glasses were incorrectly made. With my permission, Frank took the time to call the vision specialist who wrote my old Rx, and also called the Dr. who did my new Rx. Based on those calls he was able to tell the error with my old glasses was made in a lab, and was not a problem with the Rx. I am very appreciative Frank took the time to do things right.
