I stopped in on a Thursday evening after work. There were 2 women being serviced and one guy waiting for Farida. He had to wait about an hour until she got back to the shop, he waited. She must be good! I don't remember the lady did worked on my brows but she was the younger of the two, women working, maybe her daughter, not sure. This is an updated review for the (new) salon. I've been coming to Farida for years at her home and have been pleased with my results every time. She has a nice salon in the Arcadia area and although it's not close to my work or home, I will make a trip because she is worth it. Lots of parking in this strip mall and several seats inside for waiting your turn. No longer a hidden gem due to the popularity and the amount of reviews, but I am so happy for Farida's success because she is a wonderful lady with some skills. Her daughter Asra is talented as well and does great work. Getting your eyebrows or other facial areas threaded can be uncomfortable but the end result is better than any alternative. read more

I've been coming here since I first found this place when I moved here (4-5 months ago) and they've increased their prices within that time. For brow and upper lip, the total is $17 which is a bit steep from what I'm used to. The reason for the 3 stars is that when I was getting my eyebrows done from my most recent visit, the eyebrow artist told me that my eyebrows were weird and I was a bit confused why she said it. Also, if she thinks my eyebrows are weird, then it must mean her other eyebrow artists are doing their job incorrectly cuz I've literally been going here every 2-3 weeks for 4-5 months. It just didn't sit well with me. I told her that it was odd cuz I've been coming solely here for my brows but if you say you guys are shaping it weird, then I must find a new place so I'll probably find one closer to home. read more

Nice place and friendly employees but when I sat down to get my eyebrows done I wasn't asked what I wanted (clean up, reshape, etc). One of my eyebrows is now higher than the other and they start way further apart. A chunk of my eyebrow got completely taken off - the left side in the picture - the part that's supposed to line up with your nose. I'm pretty disappointed because of the great reviews this place had. read more

After researching I was confident this was the place for me. I made an appointment online, and got a text confirmation. It is a bit of a drive from where I live but sooooo worth it. I've gotten full face including eyebrows here a couple of times but stopped getting my eyebrows done at this specific place because they always made them too thin, even when I requested to keep them thick. From then on, I decided to only do full face without eyebrows here. Unfortunately, it may be my last time due to a recent a bad experience. I wanted to schedule an appointment because I know the walk-in lines can be crazy, but when I went online they only had 2 options: eyebrows or full face. The online price is also more expensive; +$5 for eyebrows and +10 for full face.. Which I don't understand because it discourages people from making appointments. I wanted a full face without eyebrows so I couldn't reserve even if I wanted to. So because of all that, I had to come here on a late afternoon Tuesday and it was slammed with walk-in clients. I waited about 30 minutes and was finally called up. When I told the lady I wanted a full face without eyebrows, she said they were too busy to do that right now and asked if I can wait until there are less people. Since I've already committed, I said sure. Then she asked if I wanted to do my eyebrows, and I said no. I took a seat and waited more. I was finally called up after waiting an additional 30 minutes. When I got on the chair I reminded her that I did not want to do eyebrows. Then she asked AGAIN if I was sure I didn't want to do my eyebrows... I said no again. Overall she did a good job but it definitely felt like she was rushing. It took about 15 minutes to do my upper lip, chin, neck, sideburns, and forehead. I am not sure if I will ever come back because my time was disrespected. I guess if you are only doing eyebrows you are a priority client, but if you plan to do anything more than that you may get pushed aside like I did. read more

Walked in without an appointment on a Tuesday afternoon and was immediately greeted and seated into a chair. I used to get my eyebrows threaded regularly pre-pandemic but have been growing out my brows and plucking them on my own for the past 2 years. I was specific about wanting the thickness to remain and just wanted a clean up since it had been a while. I wish I had gotten the name of the girl who threaded my eyebrows, but I'm so happy with the way they turned out! The process was average in terms of pain, but that could also be because I haven't regularly threaded my brows in a while. She also offered aloe gel after the service which is always my favorite part. The pricing is average I would say, but I happily paid with a tip. I came in on my lunch since I had a company Christmas dinner the next day, and the service was super quick. I've had my brows threaded 1 other time in 2018, i came to Farida for a thread and a brow tint and i am OBSESSED! I cannot stay away from my mirror lol. I had an appt and walked in 40 minutes early and was sat almost immediately. Once i was in the chair the shop filled up and it was just her and 1 other worker. Extremely disappointed to have to write this. I have been coming here since 2020, normally I see Asra but she was coming in later today and her mother Farida said she could take care of me since they have the same style. She threaded my brows which were fine, then asked if I had ever done brow tinting. I told her I had before but it did not last long, she said if I went darker and avoided oils they would. She proceeded to ask me "Do you want to try it today for free?" After that she makes a comment that,"Everyone is getting a makeover today." The girls were getting tinsel put in their hair from a stylist working. I hesitated but figured why not, as I trust their brow shaping and the tinting might have turned out better than other times I've done it elsewhere. Once I go to ring up, I see the price is $34. I said, how much were the brows, she said brow thread $14, tinting $20. I said "oh, you said it was free for the tint today." She stated I must have misheard her. I absolutely did not, but paid anyway because I don't want to cause a scene. I would not have agreed to the tinting part of the service had she not offered what she said and it is insanely bizarre that she would pretend she did not recall what she said. Not to mention, they now look like I filled them in with sharpie. Dishonest and poor business practices and I'm honestly shocked that she did that. I've enjoyed being serviced at this establishment in the past but this situation just completely turned me off and is extremely upsetting. read more

Second time coming here and I will say it again they are THE best!! Went after work, was greeted kindly upon walking in, sat and waited for less than 10 minutes and walked out with flawless brows! I saw Marley this time and she literally gave me a new face haha. She noticed I had hairs on an area where my brow bone was prominent and asked if she could remove the hairs to make my brows more arched and to highlight of course the natural shape of my brows....pure.freaking.artistry. I've been to this threading salon on two occasions and left satisfied both times... The ladies who work here are friendly and really great at their trade. They are meticulous with getting every last hair, shaping those brows perfectly, etc... and pricing is more than fair. The place is clean too. The only negative is that if you walk-in, there's no guarantee you won't have to wait.
