I saw Dr Reynolds for a post op appointment after cataract surgery the previous day with a different Dr In a different city. Other than my vision being blurry everything was fine. I did call the surgeons office about my blurred vision and was told to remove the contact in the non operative eye. In the process, I scratched my eyeball which led to extreme pain, a watering eye and redness. I called Dr Reynolds office and told the person that answered the phone I was in extreme pain and needed to see Dr Reynolds. Her reply was he's with patients right now. I had to ask her to give him a message. I was crying I was in so much pain when she did reply back to me. She said "Dr Reynolds said he's going home. I could come in and see another Dr the following day"!! I told her that wasn't good enough. I couldn't wait. I ended up at an urgent care clinic. They were very sympathetic but couldn't help me. I called the surgeons office the following day. They saw me within 2 hours. Dr Reynolds wouldn't stay an extra 10 minutes to look at my eye! It took Dr Sivley 2 minutes to see the laceration and immediately put numbing drops in my eye, a contact bandage and antibiotic drops! I will drive the 30 miles to another office before i'll ever see another Dr at Eye Care Associates in Arab, AL. Honestly, this office doesn't deserve 1 star after refusing to stay an extra 15 minutes. I live 5 minutes from the office and it was 4:30 when I called.
