Started seeing Dr. Tannen a few years ago when I had a case of conjunctivitis, and I have been using him for all of my eye care needs ever since. They always manage to get you in quickly when you're having an emergency, and are very thorough during annual exams, taking time to explain what they are doing, why, and what the results are. Knowledgeable, professional and caring doctors. Each are excellent for regular checkups and each has specific areas of expertise. Office staff is flexible, helpful and friendly. If your child is having trouble reading and you can't figure out why, see Dr. Tannen for an evaluation (routinely done abroad). Vision therapy may be an option. There are a multitude of different therapies - each patient has specific needs. PS - if traffic is good, it takes us 40 minutes to get there... read more

Both of my kids are patients with Eyecare Professionals since about 10 years ago and we have nothing but great things to say about the doctors and the business. The staff are professional and the doctors are caring and great. We have seen many different doctors in various medical fields and Eyecare Professionals is hands down one of the best places you can go to and trust. All of the doctors are great there, Dr. D and Dr. Lee have been the usually doctors seeing my kids, although Dr. Noah has also started to see them recently. I want to share a scary experience here My daughter was traveling internationally this past summer and got a severe and extremely dangerous eye infection. Out of panic I contacted Dr. D, and he responded immediately with timely and great advises remotely for my daughter. Through FaceTime Dr. D examined my daughter's infection and recommended her to go to emergency services, he then spoke with the local emergency doctor about her treatment plan, and followed up with her (during his off hours, due to the time zone difference) everyday for 8 days while she stayed in the foreign country. Immediately upon her returning to NJ, he scheduled a meeting with my daughter on a Saturday morning to examine and follow up her situation because she needed to travel again. We have never met any other doctors who would do all of these for their patients. Dr. D really and truly cares about his patients and families. We are just happy and feel absolutely blessed that we have this type of doctors working with us. Thanks to the great effort and care by Dr. D and other doctors, my daughter has had a complete recovery and is expected to go back to GVSS lenses soon. By the way her vision has not changed at all since she started her GVSS lenses 10 years ago, which is almost unheard of. I've seen two doctors here, Dr. Despotidis and Dr. Lee (mainly Dr. D). From the office staff to Dr. Dr, service is GREAT. This is literally one of the best doctors office's I've ever been to. Dr. D is one of the most caring and personal doctors I have ever met. Despite living over 2 hours away, I come to see him because of how much I love this office. He once allowed me to come over to his home when I had an eye emergency and the office was not opened. He is also reachable by email and phone. The office and the doctors do everything they can to really give you the best care and service they can. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE! My parents love it too. read more

Thanks to a recommendation from a friend who lives near Hamilton, my husband and I have been patients at Eyecare Professionals for several years. Even though we have to drive about 45 minutes to get there, it is well worth the trip. The office is run like a well-oiled machine, and it seems like they use very current technology and equipment. I usually don't have to wait very long to see someone. The staff are super friendly and professional. All three docs are top notch and really care about you. My primary doc is Dr. Despotidis - most people call him Dr. D. He ranks among the most caring docs I've ever encountered. All the docs (I've seen them all) take time to explain things. They really want you understand what they are testing, what are the results, what that means for your eye health and how you should be caring for you eyes, and - really important - what, if any, danger signs you should be aware of. They have an emergency number to make sure you can reach them if you do have an eye emergency. All this means a lot to me because I have a long family history of eye issues and I am extremely nearsighted, putting me at risk for some scary things. Also, Eyecare Professionals have opticians on the premises if you want to get your eyeglasses there. I usually only wear glasses as a backup for my contacts, but on the few occasions that I've needed new frames, they were helpful finding something that worked for me. Glasses can be tricky: you want them to compliment your face shape, PLUS - if you're super nearsighted like me - you should consider the "Coke-bottle" effect. The staff helped me find frame shapes that don't result in the lens sticking way out of the side of the frame, but still fit my style. My husband had not-so-great results with prescription sunglass frames he got there, so they're not perfect. If you are at all considering trying a new eye doctor, or if you or a family member needs to visit an eye doctor for the first time, I recommend that you consider Eyecare Associates. read more

Dr. Noah, Dr. Lee, Dr. D,  and the staff at the Eyecare Professionals are truly amazing. They not only provide the top quality eye care services but also deliver great customer experience.   Even at the first meeting, we were already impressed by Dr. D's passion, knowledge, empathy, and skills to work with children. He took a very children-centered approach and worked closely with Dr. Lee, Dr. Noah, and the staff as a team to create a plan tailored specifically for my child. Throughout the process, they were patient, supportive, always ready to help, and even cheered up every progress my child made. Many of the staff members have been there for many years. I would recommend this office to a friend. I have been a patient at EyeCare Professionals since they opened up in Hamilton about 25 years ago. I have continued to be a very loyal patient over all these years because the quality of the doctors and the service is unflagging (and let me note here I am a real snob when it comes to what I expect out of my medical doctors). I was an early adopter of Lasik surgery - and it was only because I had so much faith in Dr. Despotidis and Dr. Tannen and they assured me of its safety. I take the care of my eyesight very seriously and I wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of my eyes as I do this practice. Both of my kids (now adults) have both had Lasik through this office, and we are all fans! I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I would NEVER go back to this office again. The staff couldn't have been less helpful or more rude. The office manager is a joke and isn't qualified to work at McD's let alone a supposed medical office. They over billed my insurance company and when I researched the GVSS treatment they recommended I found it wasn't even FDA approved for my prescription! read more

Buyers beware - not all is as it seems. If money is no object and you enjoy over paying for mediocre services then this is the office for you. It was only recently that I learned the ortho-k lenses they wanted to fit my daughter with were not FDA approved for her power and would be considered "off label" use - something the doctors and staff neglected to tell me. It is easy to be impressed by appearances and supposed five star reviews - but when you get down to it they can't justify their fees and clearly aren't upfront with the safety of their treatments. Because of their dishonesty I would not recommend them to anyone. read more
