Dr. Amy Treski is a rude and prejudiced Doctor also her staff is just as bad. My parents went there a few weeks ago and they refused to service them. There explanation was they don't take Medicare or Medicaid. They tried to explained that my mom had gotten her glasses there before but they ignore her and told her again they don't take her insurance. The doctor was extremely rude and snarky and said I got a deal for something that I shouldn't have even been charged for. I asked for an adjustment and they made my glasses worse. Dents were added to them that weren't there before... Not going back here. P.S. To respond to the comment below, my glasses were not "twisted". They were in normal condition...I hardly wear them; I primarily wear contacts. I just needed them tightened and the optician believed the frame needed to taken apart. I came in an hour before closing and the optician said it would take 20 minutes.. The doctor wanted to charge $20 which is pretty absurd since I paid to get my lenses from there and it was supposed to be a simple tightening. read more

I have been going to Dr. Treski for something like 15 years! She is a careful, thorough, and warm-hearted doctor. She takes her time and does not rush you out of there--very unusual for a doctor in this day and age. She explains what she is doing, and why, and I feel very confident in her assessments and recommendations. I've read over the other reviews and I have to say I have never experienced any issues with the staff interactions with me or with each other, so hearing about this is kind of mystifying to me (not saying it didn't happen, just that I have never personally witnessed anything or gotten a weird vibe there). The only cautionary thing I can say is that sometimes she takes so much time with a patient that you end up having to wait a bit, but it's never been more than 10 minutes for me--and it's worth it to get such personalized and caring service. I have been seeing Dr. Treski for years and have always been happy, but today I'm over the top. Everything is in lockdown due to COVID-19, but I desperately needed new glasses. Dr. Treski wrote an inaccurate prescription that more than tripled the cost of my glasses, insulted my current (much beloved) frames, and then tried to aggressively up-sell me on new frames from her shop, and to commit to some expensive further follow-up procedures. I decided to go elsewhere to get my new lenses because I never wanted to go back into this store again. Then I discovered the prescription was wrong, to the tune of nearly $200 (after insurance). On one hand, the prescription error could have been a simple mistake. On the other hand, it significantly increased the cost of my glasses, which, given my other experiences, makes me a little suspicious. Dr. Treski, you were aggressive and rude, and you made an expensive mistake that I, a graduate student, had to pay for. It's infuriating. read more

I have been a client of Dr. Tresky since I moved to Lawrenceville 12 years ago. In the beginning her staff was great, now she has staff that is rude 12 years later. I have called her office 6 times, left messages and called and left 3 messages on 11/22/21 without a response. I called this morning and one of her receptionist said to me we didn't call you back because you missed three appointments and was a no show, then out on hold and left me there. The second receptionist came on the phone and said Dr. Tresky put in my chart if I wanted a appt. I needed to pay 25.00 to make one. An Dr.'s office normally call the patients and confirm the appointments-not this office further I had 2 deaths in the family so if I forgot now I am being penalized. I asked the receptionist to have the Dr. call me back but she didn't, and I told her if she didn't want me as a client anyone no problem I will go else where I don't won't to go anywhere they staff is rude anyway and don't confirm calls and talk to you rude. read more

My wife went in there to fix some glasses that my daughter got bent playing basketball and the people there yelled at her - screaming why didn't she have contacts when her doctor said she is too young for it. I stopped into Optique Boutique yesterday since they accept VSP insurance. I didn't expect the excellent and friendly service that I received. I wasn't "pushed" into anything, just assisted in a professional manner. I bought a wonderful pair of glasses in all of about 20 minutes. I've been coming here for many years for myself with my daughter. Examines have always been thorough and professional. Dr. Treski is excellent personable. My daughter developed a problem from misusing her contacts once and the Dr. was very helpful in resolving the problem. Wide selection of frames though I'm not very picky. I would say I've always had good service and response time here though I adjust my schedule around their times. read more

Just bad customer service attitude. I gave the insurance person 2 insurance cards; she returned one. After a cursory look on her desk, she said I hadn't given it to her (I had). When the salesperson came to help look, the insurance person said, in front of me, "Forget about it. It's not here. I need to get back to my work." You just lost my sale. read more

The eye exams are thorough and they don't put a lot of pressure on customers when it comes to buying frames etc. Michael, the optician, is particularly helpful and friendly. I've been going here for about 3 or 4 years for my annual examination and contacts. My insurance covers the exam and 6 months' supply, and they take care of that no problem. I normally order an additional 6 months' supply as well. One year I got new glasses made, and because my insurance only covers contacts OR glasses, they helped me with pricing options for the glasses. I also bought an expensive pair of Kate Spade sunglasses there for half-off when they were running a sale a few years ago. The location is very convenient for me and the people are generally friendly and help me get what I need. No complaints from me! read more

I just had Silhouette glasses and Kate Spade sun glasses made here. I have tried many opticians in the area only to be disappointed by either the limited selection of frames, the end result of the glasses, and/or mediocre customer service. NOT SO HERE!! All because VERONICA is one the most knowledgeable, personable, patient optician that I have come across in years. She makes all the difference. And the boutique is a lovely space as well. She answered all our questions and discovered that my husband had early stages of high blood pressure. We went our GP and Tom is now on meds. I've been seeing Dr. Treski since before I was old enough to be able to read the eye chart. She has always taken her time and been very thorough with my exams. Glaucoma runs in my family and she is very diligent about keeping an eye out for any signs or symptoms with my entire family. I had a problem with my eyes a couple months ago that required eye drops but my insurance wouldn't cover the prescription. When I contacted Dr. Treski about getting a different prescription, she spoke directly with my pharmacy that same day to get everything taken care of. My wait time at her office is never more than a couple of minutes and I've never had an unpleasant experience in her office. I couldn't recommend a better optometrist. read more

We had an ok experience seeing the doctor and getting the glasses, however when we returned a few weeks later to get the Rx so we could order another pair of glasses online, they refused to give us the pupil measurement which is key to getting another pair of glasses. The worker was also loud and condescending to me with a waiting room full of patients. If you need somewhere in the Princeton area that takes most insurances go to Princeton Eye Group which has 3 locations and a great optical shop onsite which actually gave me the info we needed to order online eventhough it meant us buying elsewhere! read more
