This has to be one of the most mismanaged businesses in UTC. I've had to reschedule my eye exam 2 times due to the lack of time management in this facility. Today was a second reschedule due to them making you wait an unacceptable amount of time in the waiting area when there is literally no one else waiting to be seen. I wouldn't regiments this location to anyone and shame on their management team for not monitoring what their employees are doing. Poor service should never be excused. I can be much more understanding of the location was busy but when it's literally empty, no excuse to waste customers time. read more

They do t take our insurance anymore and didn't tell me this until I was there. Then the dr. I used to see is t there anymore and the dr that is there is so bad! I love contacts but the once she set me up with are so bad! And it took 3 weeks to get one pair in just to try! I went to contact. Com and got them in days! read more

I'm not one to bash business, but if you're going to be in the business to make eye glasses you should make sure they're right. I came in to get glasses with a prescription from my eye dr, spent $330 here within 3 hrs the eye glasses caused me headaches and caused me to be disoriented. I took them back, told one of the associates and they claimed it was because I brought in an "outside prescription" aka not taking accountability. Thankfully I was refunded my $330. I will not be back! Visionworks has my business now! read more

I called to get a couple questions answered. the uneducated employee that answered the phone tried to be a smart ass and make jokes about paying more money "because this is america" and laughed on the phone. so unprofessional and disrespectful. Just got home from my appointment and had to write about my experience. We (my daughter came with me) are so impressed with the service and demeaner of the staff there. We were treated very well and with an abundance of humor (which is always a plus). I was the last appointment of the day and even though it went beyond their work hours they didn't rush us or make us feel bad (even though we did). I highly recommend them. As a matter of fact, my daughter is calling her insurance tomorrow to see if she is covered and can make an appointment with them. This is the second time this has happened to me. I got my one pair of glasses.....nothing fancy!! On April 21, charged 344.00,insurance discount 54.00, patient payment 189.20. So today September 24th, roughly 5 months later I get a bill for 58.54....are you kidding me. Either charge me correctly or cut your losses. Don't send me a bill after 5 months. I am done with eye glass world. I will take my business elsewhere!!!!!! I gave them one star but they don't even deserve that. I will add that there employees are great, but the corporation is what I am talking about. Greed all for 58 and change. read more

I am so happy that I found such a reliable and professional office to get my prescription for glasses and contacts. The staff at the optometrist office and Dr Lisa Parkins were welcoming and professional. I even complemented them on how well they are operating the place, a great example for other similar businesses. They take most insurances (in my case Davis vision & EyeMed) and do all the paperwork. I was visiting from NC. Stepped on my glasses and broke the leg off. Went to Eyeglass World and within 15 minutes they had my lenses installed in a new frame. I could see again! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would recommend them to anyone. read more

This is a bittersweet post. UNFORTUNATELY I WILL NEVER GIVE MY BUSINESS TO EYEGLASSWORLD Again... I live out of town and for the past 4-5 years i have been getting my glasses from this same location. I basically get new glasses often because i travel a lot for work and seem to always lose them. I have spent a lot of money here mean A LOT . So its about time for me to get new exam i just feel like it is for me personally since i am in town for few days i called for an appointment plus I also need to get new glasses so it just goes perfect made an appointment and like I said I am just visiting so I am taking Uber everywhere unfortunately every request I tried this morning said that I had to wait 20 minutes for Uber to arrive to me and then take my ride to the store they said that won't work I said that's fine I'll still come in and just order new frames because I need glasses Now! She then asked me oh well did your prescription expire I said what do you mean she looked it up said it expired in April mind you I didn't even get my last exam from them I just came in with a new prescription from home so they don't even know if that prescription was within the year or not so she's trying to make me pay and make a new appointment for an exam She said she wont my new frames . I'm like so you're gonna let me walk blind because I didn't make my appointment to pay you $69 for exam I have come here many times never was I asked the prescription or told to get exam I'm not even here every year on the year so it didn't make sense to me she would say something like that especially because before my last prescription it was a year and a half almost 2 years before I had a New Eye exam Yeah I had been back two times for lost glasses. This is my reason for never coming back . And just my review on the experience seems like they just want your money but don't actually care if you need help . read more

I tip my hat to the optometrist that was working. Usually the ones you go see are so awkward and all they want to do is get you in and out and make money off you. I've been going here for years now without any problems. However today I saw the male optometrist whereas I normally see the female optometrist. He was just rude. He wasn't really listening to anything I had to say was more concerned about talking to his front desk person about another patient. I felt really neglected. Then on top of that I went to go look for glasses afterwards and the person who came up to "help" me seemed really rude as well. I decided to leave and go spend my money on new glasses elsewhere. Love this place. Very professional, and polite staff! Tons of choices for glasses, and awesome prices. Just purchased a pair of eye glasses, and polarized prescription sunglasses for 279 with warranty for both. Oh and it gets better, they're going to be ready by tomorrow! Absolutely wonderful. I unexpectedly broke my glasses and have really really terrible eyes with no back up pair. I went in after around noon and was able to be seen on the spot for an exam, the doctor was pleasant and did a great job. After I picked out two pairs of glasses and even though they were busy they squeezed me in to get a pair within an hour knowing I couldn't see and didn't have another pair! read more

I was recently prescribed bifocals and have been shopping several eyeglass stores in the area. This one is across the street from DeSoto Mall, right on the corner close to 301. Unlike several of the places in the area that advertise cheap frames, this place actually had a decent selection and prices were clearly marked at the top of each rack. There was a doctor on site and he talked to me about my glasses and the best choice of frames (my prescription requires a larger frame to accommodate the gradation of the lense). He was very thorough and pleasant. Everyone in the store was very pleasant. This was a stark contrast to the different place I had visited earlier in the day where an unprofessionally dressed man came up to me, looked at my prescription then pointed to a small display of the glasses that were available in the advertised price range. Many places advertise amazing deals but then you go in and there are maybe 30 ugly frames to choose from and they rest of them are going to cost you more. I will be revisiting this store to fill my prescription because I feel like they are trustworthy enough to be helpful after the sale, too. read more
