Recently moving to Atlanta from NY, I needed new headshots and was given a resource guide by my agent. The name of Mr. Ray's business, Eyekool Photography, is what stuck out to me first. When I went to his website and saw some of his work, I was extremely impressed. I also recognized some of the actors that he has previously worked with. I have had headshots taken by different photographers in NY but none of those previous sessions compared to the shoot that I had with Mr. Ray this week. Not only is Mr. Ray a photographer, but he's also a director and someone who is extremely gifted, personable, and knows how to bring out the best in those he's working with. I was taken aback as I saw the photos after each look. I recognize the importance that headshots have in the industry and these were the absolute best headshots that have ever been taken of me. I realize that is largely in part to Mr. Ray. He creates such an energetic and fun environment, while sharing knowledge that can only help one's journey. My multi-look session with Ray was probably the best money I've ever spent as an actor. The pictures came out gorgeous - he's great with locations and lighting and direction, the whole package. I've had many photo shoots over the years, and this was the most relaxed I've felt during a session - it never felt rushed, and we even got some playful shots in just for fun (see a few of the attached photos - and none of these are even retouched yet!). Also - now that Instagram is such a big marketing tool for actors, it is AWESOME to have so many different looks to choose from for social media posts. I been wanting to take some headshots with my natural hair for a really long time. After giving it some thought, I decided to go to Ray for them. It was the best decision ever made, they turned out really great. His quality of work is very professional, but also friendly. I felt very comfortable during the session with him which I think is a very important factor. My 14 year old daughter and I absolutely loved working with Ray for her acting headshots. During the photoshoot, Ray created fun for my daughter with his silliness and his personality made it very easy to communicate both in person and via email. Ray is honestly the best in the biz and overall just a generous human being. The headshots we received are top notch and some of the most professional we've ever seen.
