This will not be my place, unfortunately. The salon is cute and the people were very friendly ,so I was hopeful. It was really strange when they just laid me back in the chair right out in the open in front of everyone! The place I'm used to going takes you to a private room where you lay down on a bed and they give you warm blankets to cover up . It makes it very relaxing , while they work their magic. Here it was cold and it felt really strange to lay back in an uncomfortable chair , out in the open , in front of everybody , to have the service done! I do wish I would've left before having it done, now. Unfortunately, my right eyelashes took, but my left eye did not! So now I am stuck, looking very strange with my right eyelashes curled, and my left lashes not! . I haven't called to complain because I know I can't get it redone. I have to wait the course of a few months until the solution is off of my lashes to return to the place that does do a great job. I felt it was important to let people know this , because it sucks that my eyes look completely different! My right lashes are pretty and awake and my left eye looks bare unless I put a few coats of mascara on it to try to match my right eye. I do want to end on a positive note , saying that the girls were very friendly and the salon looked cute and clean so maybe try it for a different service but not the lash lift and tint!

There's an adjoined salon on the first floor which I believe operates separately. It is a little difficult to find, but when you find the building it is the last place on the the far left. I went to get eyelash extensions by Irene and loved the way my eyelashes look. It is a higher quality job than the usual rushed salon experience!!! The extensions are all in the same direction, full and look natural, no gabs on the ends or inside of corners. I just wake up brush them and they look all day perfect! A little back story on Jennifer: She travels between L.A., New York and Miami on a 3-week rotation and she's only available by appointment (she works out of Brownes & Co. South Beach & Design District locations). Jennifer was a totes pro and my initial full set of lashes cost $295 and 2 hours of lying still like a corpse (a major accomplishment for this Energizer Bunny). The process doesn't hurt at all -- you've just got to lay still as Jennifer does her thang (so I counsel not coffee-ing it up or 5-energy houring or whatever your crack of choice is beforehand). Follow-up visits (recommended every 3 weeks) will take 1 hour and about $89. Jen meticulously bonds one single extension (in multiple sizes) to every single eyelash -- and when applied correctly, they don't harm your natural lash. The end result? Lashes for days. The kind of lashes to rival those of Twiggy. Lashes so lush, thick and beautiful, you'll never need mascara again! Jen will be back in Miami Nov. 10, 16 and 17, so to book her call, 650-741-LASH.
