I highly recommend using the eye doctor next-door that's part of eye mart to get a prescription for contacts and glasses. Jason was excellent. He was the only one there and was overloaded with work, but kept a positive attitude. He was very friendly and helpful. Employees like that don't come around too often. I hope you're treating him right because that's one damn good employee. I can't say so much for the eye mart itself where you get your glasses. They weren't rude, but they weren't helpful if I could 3 star them I would. I will probably end up taking my prescription somewhere else and getting glasses possibly. I will try to go back in there later next week and see if maybe if they have a better attitude.. if they do, I will update this post but I really don't have my hopes up. I have purchase many pair of glasses from Eyemart Express in Abilene, TX but this will be the last for me and my family. On Saturday October 1, 2022 I drove from Eastland, Tx to purchase new glasses. I spoke to a young lady and purchase pair of glasses which seemed to be new at job. I ask her about sign in store about buying 2 pair and was their a discount. She told me no. While up at check out I as again and another girl there said yes. I ask what the price for buying 2 pair and she entered into register and told me the total would be $139.??. I said great I will take two pair while here. They had already rang up one pair for total of $95.94 on my credit card, then rang up for two pair and put both register receipts in front of me and said sign both. The second receipt was for $85.93 plus the first receipt for $95.94 for a total of $181.87. I told the second lady that quoted $139.?? that is not correct that you quoted $139.?? and total of both of these receipts is $181.87 . She said that is the price if you want them fine if you don't I don't care. I said then I don't know if I want either pair. She said fine but I would have to wait come back Monday or next week to get my credit. I told her I live in Eastland and unable to drive back Monday I work and that is why I come early on Saturdays. She said you will have to come back if you want your credit, do you want the glasses or not. I finally said I guess I will have to take them because I can not drive 160 miles round trip for credit, however I would let company know about this and will be the last purchase from I or my family. Told me would take about hour and would text me when ready. Two hours later I came back and ask another male employee if ready and said yes, sorry did not text you. I put the glasses on and was unable to read with them. Checked them measured again and then said will have to re make them and would be 1-2 hours but will call you as soon as ready. Two hours later I came back and another gentleman helped me. Glasses were the same I was not able to read unless pushed glasses up and look through the bottom 1/8" or less of lens. He bent on glasses several times and changed nothing. Then he took the noses pieces off and put some very small ones on and bent on them. Lifted glasses now on nose to bring up on my face to where lookin through bottom 5% of lens. I told him was little better still have to hold glasses up to see clear. But I have to get back to Eastland. I took one pair an left one to put tint on and mail. Put my shades on and left. Once I returned home and put glasses on I was not able to see mid range with out pulling glasses down on nose the no way to read. This has been a night mare. Eye mart Express has gone to pots. Know have paid for two pair of glasses and travels 160 miles and still can't see. Im Michael and I think I mildly scored at my initial purchase, not understanding the various charges. I ditent even look for it, if you read it, READ this. All my confusion aside, I went in this store and waited like 45 minutes which in Yours and Everyone Else's time was like 3.75-4.90 minutes and called the store from my cell and said, Yeah, if you get a Chance there's a customer in the lobby. in a mildly funny accent. then when they came out and said they'd get the manager, it never occurred to me they'd think this was manager worthy.....I tell him in garbled mush mouth blah blah blah lens. he takes the glasses and rubs the lenses, I think now saying, You see Mr Davis there's nothing on them, they're good and hands them back to me, I presume dismissively. NO I was in dummy mode. but looking back of course, it couldn't POSSIBLY be me. Imagine my shock yesterday when I explain to another manager(THERE is ONLY ONE) about this whatever abusing my glasses and sending me home. I SAY He too knew what actually happened, but he also could tell I wasn't playing or pretending and then he knocked me out. he OverFixed the problem and ALL of you need to get your next frame set with XtraActive Vantage lens OR just whatever Kenny suggests.......he'll probably let an employee handle you, but they're ALL great. I will need your help resolving the rest of this, I figure we get another 25-75 people a week in to you know, just put these people to work, That would be a good thing :). There probably are cheaper places to buy glasses BUT The people here are extremely nice and I can get my glasses in just a few hours. I have gotten my glasses here several times and the people here always been very nice. They all deserve raises! read more

They did a good job. Made two pairs of glasses in an hour. Quality and fit are excellent. They are the only same day place I could find in Abilene to have glasses made. I'm not going to order my glasses and wait two weeks for them to show up. I haven't done that since the 70s! Good experience overall. Waited over an hour to be helped. They say you can use your own frames but you CANT. They also could not give me the bifocal I needed. Customer service was aweful! Also say same day service... NOT. 06/22/2019, was my first day ever using Eyemart Express. The service was great, I walked in and was helped right away, they were very nice and professional!! They helped me find the right pair of glasses for me which I just love! They also helped me find the best deal for my glasses! I paid a great price for my glasses and the best part they had my glasses ready for my in 23 minutes, instead of having to wait the usual 7-10days for glasses to be done! Not my favorite. The lady helping me weeks ago was very friendly and helpful. So I ordered some lenses for my frames. They didn't carry the bifocals I required it was,weaker than they carry. Now 3 weeks later I go get them. The lady adjusting them was friendly. The glasses seemed ok at first then felt loose so I go back the next day. Told the lady,different lady, they were loose. So without Checking where they were loose she takes them and starts bending away. Still loose she bends some more. I'll try again. I expect they will rub into the back of my ears. No one does as my previous dr., but he is 3hr. Away. read more

Like everything, EyeMsrt isn't perfect. I've been buying glasses here ever since they opened their doors. When I was a starving college student, I bought their cheapies. When I graduated and was making BIG money teaching school, I upgraded. After graduate school, I ever bought a few premium frames like Nike and sprung for the top-shelf lenses. Now that I'm older and my looks are fading (slightly, HA) I've returned to the cheapies and am very satisfied. Truth is, the last time I bought glasses, I didn't get the poly carbonate lenses or scratch-resistant coating or any upgrade. I paid like $89 for 2 pairs, wore them for 3 years and lost them before I damaged either pair. If you are really rough on glasses, maybe upgrade, but the basic product worked just fine for me. I did have one pair that didn't work. I couldn't wear them without headaches. That was years ago and it was 1 pair out of around 12. For the money, I'll keep going here. read more

When my husband went to pick up his glasses for the last time, the lady who handled it did refund the $10 for the frames that were never used and another $10 for the difference between the pair that actually got made and price we had originally paid. So, yes, $20 was refunded to us, so that the price we paid was the actual cost of items we received. This was after several minutes she spent with the manager in the back, who refused to come out and speak with my husband face to face. So thank you to whoever contacted the store and did not allow him to refuse to refund what was never received. It's notable, however, that the manager would try to get away with not refunding our money. I don't think he would have tried to do what he did unless he thought he could get away with it. The jury is still out on what will happen when I pick up my glasses. I have not received a notification yet that they are ready. read more

If you require bifocals and they tell you they need to be ordered run and take your business elsewhere. I was told my glasses would take no longer than 7 days and here I am on day 18 with still no glasses. Sadly I didn't know it was going to be like this so after ordering one pair I went in a few days later and got another. Who knows how long I'll have to wait on those?! I called to check on them at one point. Somewhere around day 12 and I was spoken to as if I was annoying them. I needed new glasses and thought I'd check this place out after I got some froyo. Great choice! The prices were much better than most others in the area, though I was disappointed that they didn't have Ray Bans. I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about the wait, I was in and out in about fifteen minutes, though I picked up my glasses the next day. Yes sometimes there is a bit of a wait to be seen but that is just part of business people, and they always let me know they will be with me as soon as they can. I went here because I was in town and they are on my insurance. I won't go back. My glasses were not even close to what they should have been. I had them and my eyes both re-checked by a different dr when I got back home. The glasses were not made to the prescription I was given that same day. They did make a new pair and send them to me but I still don't think they are right and there out is "well we will make them if your eyes have changed" so I had to go pay for another eye exam and go thru the hassle of sending it in and waiting for new glasses to get to me. Several follow up calls later - they came. Not sure why they were able to make them when I was standing there but had to send them out for order when I needed them corrected. Glasses cost too dang much to not work right. When I told the lady (who was really rude by the way) that waited on me that something was off and I really couldn't see well her response was "well you always have to adjust to new glasses" give them a few days. Will not purchase another thing from this store there ad is a lie. Ordered 2 pair of glasses at the same time they called when only one pair ready. When I asked about other pair was told " did you get two phone calls " really ordered same day really. Just called said the other pair is ready I said thanks for the call. I went to get a screw my nieces glasses so she could have them for school today and Pam who works there was wonderful she told me the frames had to be replaced I let her know that she needed them now for school and she was got the new frames right there and then and replaced them. I have used Eyemart for many years for my glasses. My whole family goes here and we always get excellent service and very high quality glasses for reasonable prices. This is the only place that we go to for glasses! I have more time than money and so does everyone else, so if there is a bit of a wait sometimes, I have no problem with it. I am a nurse, and when my patients needs glasses, this is always the first place I recommend them to go for great glasses at great prices. When I had a frame break from a defect while under warranty, Eyemart replaced it with a better quality and more expensive frame because the original model was no longer made due to defects. I was very pleased with their service! Eyemart is not a cheap place to get glasses. It is a great place to get professional service and excellent glasses for a reasonable price. There is a difference! They also try to find ways to get you what you want for what you want to spend, and not sell you over-priced items. read more

2 pairs for a low price for single vision glasses. This is not true. My daughter is a single vision -4.25 and -4.75 this is not a toric lense or special lense, but was charged $10 extra per pair to receive glasses. I was not told this until checking out and after the trouble of finding glasses filling out paperwork I did not want to disappoint my child cause they were gonna cost an extra $20. Single vision is single vision period otherwise customer should be told prior to paperwork. Very disapointed. read more

This is for store number 054: My experience has not been a good one. The person who waited on me was not friendly. I don't know her name but she was the older lady in the store who seemed to be in charge. She was not friendly or caring. Just did her job and moved on. I paid and left. Then I realized I had paid with the wrong credit card. The next morning I returned and ask her to credit the amount back to my card and use another one. She said there is no way she could do that under any circumstance. Strange since other stores do it all the time. When I got my glasses, the bifocal lenses were not even as one was lower than the other. I ask her to look at them and she assured me they were straight. But they certainly were not straight when I looked through them. She refused to try to do anything. Perhaps she just had a bad week. But as I observed her working with other clients I saw the same attitude. She seemed irritated that she had to be there and deal with people. read more
