Never going back to this office they change policy and doesn't cover lost glasses with Medicaid

I came in with a pair of glasses that I got from here still under warranty. This is about the fourth time I've had to come back. One time they replaced the entire frames. The screws won't stay in them so my lenses poo out all the time. I've waited for 30 minutes so far and they still haven't put the screw in yet. Or they say they can't find a screw. Screw this!! Every time I get glasses from here I have trouble. They are always falling apart or they are wonky and make me feel cross eyed. They are always warped if they are the plastic frames. I'm don't here. I just don't have time or energy to come here so often for repairs. read more

I loved the quick same day appointment I received the dr was very nice and within 2 hours I had seen the dr. And gotten my glasses and paid ZERO outta pocket thank you Eyemart! read more

my previous pair of glasses from a competitor had broken and they not only turned me away, but told me that "Eyemart Express does same day." Within 10 minutes, the general manager, Jennifer Boyd, had me in and out with a new, temporary pair of glasses and I cannot be more appreciative of her customer service. Definitely returning here next year for my next eye appointments. read more

I broke my frames some how last night so i got out this morning to come in for a replacement frame.as soon as i walked in the door i was greeted by the staff.jennifer waited on me and was very happy to help me find a pair of frames that my lenses would fit in, since the ones i had before were discontinued.i just want to thank her so much for being friendly and helpful read more

I shopped here in the past and had a positive experience, but the most recent one was not good. I asked a salesperson whether it would be okay to peruse the drawers underneath the displays. She said I might find some things that are not on display, so I was welcome to look. A few minutes later, however, another employee yelled at me from across the room to please get out of the "understock" drawers. It was embarrassing, and very poor customer service. Plus, they most certainly had frames in the drawers that were not on display-- why wouldn't they want customers to look at them and buy them? I went elsewhere and spent a bundle on several pairs of new glasses- I guess Eyemart Express didn't want my $1,000 sale. read more

I was not happy with the previous set of glasses I had and wanted to know what my options were because I am near and farsighted. The first person I saw was very helpful explaining different options. Dr. DuBose however was not friendly and made me feel stupid for not knowing what I wanted coming in. He used a derogatory tone and did not make me feel welcome. Maybe he was having a bad day but he was not personable and made the experience an unpleasant one. read more

My family and I were in town visiting the University of Alabama when my glasses broke. Since we were from out of town I had no idea where to take them for repair. I saw the Eyemart Express store as we were driving by so decided to stop in. We were instantly greeted as we walked into the door. The technician behind the counter immediately asked me if she could help and took the glasses in the back laboratory. She fixed them within 10 minutes and for a minimum charge. Great experience, great service, I wish we had an Eyemart in our hometown. read more

I'm in Tuscaloosa visiting my mother. We took her to Eyemart to get new glasses. The people who work there could not be more friendly, but I would not do business with them again. It is the first time for her to get glasses with distance & near vision. Because I love progressive lenses we ordered those. The "reader" portion of the lens was VERY small/narrow and mom was not able to adjust to them so we took them back & asked for new lenses that would be bifocals with obvious readers. They were fine with that but would not refund mom the $45. extra she paid for the progressive lens. So she paid $45. for something she can't use! And she paid $30. for additional scratch protection. It is nice that they have a one year warranty on the frames, but next time, even if they cost more, we will buy glasses from her optometrist who would have provided better guidance for a first time bifocal user. read more

I have used Eyemart Express a few times and have been extremely pleased!! I was very pleased with my exam and the service I received for my glasses exceeded my expectations! I have used another office in the past and this was a much better experience! I loved the doctor at the previous office but my experience with the glasses prescription was not good and even though I have insurance, my cost for the glasses was much more than I expected!! I will continue to use Eyemart Express! read more

Vision had been removed from my insurance, so I called and asked about a special, they were running and asked 3 different times if they were sure on the price, since I would be paying for the exam and glasses out of pocket.. The guy I spoke with was new and was asking another lady for prices. I clearly heard, what she had told the boy over the phone and he quoted me the same price. After paying for the exam, I went to get glasses. After looking at many frames that were too expensive for me, I asked for what, I was quoted on the phone. she would not Honer that quote. This was the same woman that had told the new guy the price to quote me on the phone "3 times"! After trying to discuss it with the lady and the new guy, "He did admit to having told me this over the phone" multiple times, the new guy said that it was his fault for the miscommunication. I called customer service, while at the counter while they went in another room. customer service said they had another story. Afterwards the new guy come up to me and said he was sorry again, said it was his fault. This woman was letting the new guy, take the blame for her! "This was over just a few dollars." I got so upset, because this woman was lying Needless to say I left and did'nt buy the glasses. My last glasses came from them 3 years ago and I had had trouble with them from the time, I had bought them. I should not have gone back and will not deal with them again! Marlon K. read more
