I purchased 2 pairs of glasses with scratch resistant and also glare resistant. Within 6 months both pair were scratched up enough that they replaced the lenses. It has now been about 7 months later and they are both scratched again! My optometrist even ask where I purchased them. I have worn glasses for over 60 years and have never had this happen before. I still have a hard time believing the scratch resistant was ever done. They will definitely not have my business again! read more

This was my experience with Atlantic Eye Associates. It's been four years since my last eye exam and I noticed my glasses were no longer doing their job. Atlantic eye care was close to my home and accepted my insurance. I called for an appointment in early December and was scheduled for early February. Two months seemed like a long time but it's been four years so I took the appointment. After waiting the two months the day of the appointment I was called and told the doctor was sick and they would call and reschedule me. I got a call in a few days and was scheduled for the following week. The day of that appointment I received another call stating the doctor was still sick and that they would call to reschedule my appointment. That call never came. After ten days or so I stopped by the office to reschedule and was told the best they could do would be the first week of May. That's another two months. I consider that to be terrible customer service and decided to write this review. In an area where there are so many people one persons' business doesn't matter. Treating people this way has become the norm just about everywhere. The only thing we have as consumers and citizens are our wallets, our votes, and reviews. Do as you will but once I see this side of a business I would never hand them my hard earned money. read more

My daughter's glasses were lost in the ocean and Eyemart was just what I needed. I walked in at 9:10 and her glasses were done just after 10! The service was excellent. And I was impressed by the frame selections in a wide variety of price points. They took our existing RX and made sure I got the best deal possible. Horrible this is the second horrible experience that I have had with Eyemart. Upon coming in Cindy greets me and ask why I'm here told her full glasses with insurance. She asked my employer and said nothing else. I wait 1:15 when I was told 40mins. Then simply to find out they don't take my insurance that pays up to 200.... so when I inquire as to why that wasn't asked or inquired about before I sat for an hour the optometrist was asked to come out. And then took another 10 mins..... The first time the same woman Cindy took my glasses to repair them and broke the entire frame which they no longer carried and I had to pay a $20 difference because it of her mistake. So yet agaiN CINDY has made my experience horrible!!!! And now the manager doesn't seem to care Sam deavears cafe out and was rude and cud care less. Don't spend money here I called and filed complaint and no reply from the number!? This is beyond terrible .......they posted that reply And haven't addressed the issues... looks like The BBB is my next stop... read more

Lady who helped us was rude. She seemed irritated when I asked what the broke down charges were. I only asked because i was only getting one pair and the price seemed high. I've bought these exact frames before plus another pair and it was still lower. She had already put in a charge for something they normally ask if you want before adding it in. Told her I didn't need that and she got a attitude. Kept talking about it. Even after it was removed the price was still higher for this one pair than I normally pay for 2 these frames being one of the 2. Then she waits till we have pd to tell us it may be a week before they are ready. Information I could have used sooner being they are a hour away and I work most days and don't get off in time to get there before they close. I've been using them for 8 years but this will prob be the last time. read more

The optometrist was sweet. However the lady at the front was extremely rude. When I asked about my insurance she wouldn't help me and seemed annoyed. Also, and this irritated me the most, they tell you you have to wear a mask, which is fine. However, I walked in without a mask and asked if they had an extra one I could put on and they gave me one. Then at checkout the proceeded to charge me $2.00 for the mask!! They never let me know that I was going to be charged for the mask. I would have just gone out to my car to get my mask if that were the case. Very irritating. You have to tell a customer If you are going to charge them for something before you give it to them and this was not the case. read more

My husband and I went into this establishment to purchase glasses. We were given the unfortunate luck of getting the sales associate named Sue. She started off friendly but that quickly changed. After letting her know we did not have much time as we needed to get to the hospital where a family member was having a procedure done she wanted my husband to pick out frames. He did this. Sue started writing down prices that included our insurance price as well as their promotional coupon price. Somehow her figures kept getting higher and higher even when the price should have been coming down. When I would try to ask a question or confirm what she stated, she would ignore me and talk to him. The prices that she stated were never the same amounts twice and when you questioned her she would have a sarcastic attitude and say " I quoted the wrong price". Despite being in a hurry she held us up for almost three hours. All the while other customers were coming in and being helped my other associates and having what they wanted in less than twenty minutes. Finally being to the point of absolute frustration I asked for the prescription back and we left. They lost two customers yesterday as I also had a prescription that needed to be filled. Do not use this location and definitely do not allow Sue to help you. She will try to constantly up the price on you and you will leave very disappointed and dissatisfied. She needs to be fired from her job as she is going to cost their business a lot of lossed revenue. read more

I am new to glasses and went straight there after getting my prescription. I was greeted by a lady named Sue and she seemed nice at first. I asked if she could tell me how much my insurance would cover and she couldn't give me a solid answer so I blindly picked some frames that I hoped would be in the price range. After waiting for probably 20-30 minutes Sue got done with another customer and came over to me. She didn't review prices or anything but she said I could get a pair free with the purchase of another pair so I settled on a pair with another back up pair (which i thought would be free) She sent the back up pair to get lenses in them before i could even talk about pricing or even completely settling on those two frames. She told me it would be $210 out of pocket and when i asked if it would be cheaper to just get the one she said yes. She rushed back to stop them from making the pair I wasn't getting anymore, to the one i was planning on getting in the first place. So I talked her into getting the one pair for $80 (after taking off the anti-glare, that i told her i already didn't want) because all i wanted was just a basic pair of glasses that my insurance could completely cover. She started getting frustrated and had an attitude, she told me the cheapest out of pocket would be $50 (which is completely false with my insurance) I told her I couldn't pay that so she just got up and said she had to stop them from putting the lenses in and never checked back in with me. I saw her talking behind the desk for probably 5 minutes with no intentions of coming back. I walked out after wasting an hour with this lady. Highly don't recommend, all they want is more money from you. read more

My husband and daughter needed glasses we went in on Saturday and Zack helped us. He was very helpful and polite. Very knowledgeable. He was able to answer all of our questions and even helped my 16 yr old find frames that she felt comfortable in. I'm a over the road truck driver and I don't have time for lenses taking a week to arrive (Walmart, My Eye Doctor) so I walked into Eyemart Express and express it what I got! Large selection of frames and my prescription lenses were in stock. I was told my glasses would be ready within 3 hours but not to go far. I parked under a shade tree and received my text they were ready 22 minutes later. Not saying you'll get yours that quick but you will have a pair, or two that same day. Great experience with them, when we got there they were kind of busy and we were worried it would take a long time. But we waited about 30 minutes before we saw someone. (So it would probably be better not to go at a peak time) Her name was Cindy and she did an excellent job after we had our consultation and left, they called us back within 45 minutes and the glasses were ready. The kings of bait and switch. They have a special for progressive lens, but the frames have to be from the $19.99 selection. Most of that selection is too small for the progressive lens. Then, Sam, the general manager, gets snippy with me when I ask. Didn't offer to show me any of the larger frames. I got the special, but I won't be back here again. read more

I have never been able to get glasses that fit right or lenses that don't distort. But guess what! The glasses I just got at our local Eyemart Express fit to a T and do not make me end the day with a headache from any distortion. Thank you so very much. After showing a tech when I checked in what the issue was a different tech told me 30 minutes later (after I asked again) that they couldn't help me. Don't go here for "express". I have been going to eyemart express for a few years now but not ever again after this last time. Most of the staff seem to be winging it. I felt rushed when picking out frames and told the woman that I really wasn't happy with the look of one of the frames that I settled with for. But she talked me into them. I had two pairs of glasses ordered. One being sunglasses with progressive lenses that had to be sent out and the other being tinted glasses with progressive lenses that could be made there in their lab. When I came to pick up the tinted pair they put the lenses in the wrong frames. They got the tinted right but in the wrong frame. After trying on the frames with the tinted lenses I definitely did not like the frames even for the sunglasses so I picked out a new style of frame. The next day I got a text saying my glasses were ready. That evening I went to pick them up and the tint was wrong. I asked why they didn't just replicate the tint of the other pair. So I had to leave them again. I went the next day to pick them up and they looked good. The only problem was I couldn't see out of them. The frame was to small for progressive lenses. So I had to pick out new frames again. The staff, in my opinion, either they have no clue what they are doing or the ones that do know what they are doing don't want to take the time to do their jobs right. read more

Have gotten my glasses here for the past three years and have never had a problem. After my most recent eye exam, I went to get glasses and all appeared well. I had to go back twice for an adjustment. This morning I was so aggravated I went back a third time and was helped by Kevin, who happens to be the manager of another Eyemart Express and was helping out in this store while one of the opticians was on vacation. He spent so much time helping me and asking questions to finally get my situation corrected. Because my prescription from May to August had changed, my glasses were free, but I was expecting to pay today because I wanted a different frame and wanted to start over. I went back to pick them up. He saw me walk in the door and immediately called me back to give me my glasses and worked with me until we got them just right. Kevin was awesome. Wish he worked at this store all the time. That being said, I will continue to go to Eyemart Express for my eyeglasses. I see other complaints regarding the waiting time. I believe "Express" refers to the fact that you can get glasses here the same day rather than having to come back in a few days to pick them up, unless, of course, they have to order a special lens. read more

This is the worst eye place ever! I bought my glasses here and the lens became scratched. I asked for the lens to be replaced and was told I should have bought scratch protection. I had already purchased transition, progressive, and glare protection. The manager said that she would replace the lens. When I went to pick up my glasses, there was no glare protection and they said there was no record of it being purchased. This place is anything but express and will screw you in the end. Save yourself some frustration and go somewhere else. read more

I recently visited to purchase new glasses, the store was very busy but they have a large selection of glasses to chose from and the prices were much better than my Dr. I was helped by a young man named Phil who went above and beyond and truly made my experience pleasant. My husband had new lenses made at Eyemart. Six months later they were so scratched he couldn't see out of them. I use the same microfiber cloth and I have no scratches in my glasses which are much older. Eyemart refused to do anything about it. The opthamologist office said these glasses are made of cheap materials and this should not have happened. read more

The staff at Eyemart are exceptional! Phil, Leo, Madonna, Haley and Kim will go above and beyond to help you pick out frames and fill out oodles of paperwork while keeping a smile on their face. The atmosphere is so pleasant and the service expedient that we have been going there for three9 years. My four pair of glasses cost what one pair would have at another competitor.
