A truly professionally run location. At check in, first time at this location they had all the paperwork already prepared and I only needed to sign 3 forms. No mounds of paperwork needed to be filled out. My appointment began on time and the assistant was thorough with their exam. Asking questions as things were progressing and listening to my responses and any questions that I had. The Dr. then saw me and went over everything and I was fitted for contacts and took the time to make sure the ones I received fit properly. At check out again a truly professional experience and the new contacts that were ordered included free shipping to my home so I do not have to return. They are an hour away from my home but I will be back as I know have a new place. read more

I will say, I initially had a bad experience with the eye doctor. The doctors and assistance helping during the eye exam were amazing, but it didn't feel like they were transparent with their pricing, and I overpaid for glasses that I really needed. I was Mad and left them bad feedback on the email they sent me, but they ended up resolving it and giving me a discount on the service I was complaining about. Horrible customer service. They booked me for a virtual appointment without telling me and without my consent. Then the late window is 5 minutes compared to a normal window which is 15 minutes. Moving to the area MyEyeDr is close and convenient to my location. I made my first appointment with them from overseas. Once I returned to the United States that next week I went right in for my visit. They were quick and professional. My doctor was very nice and all the staff there was fantastic! I wanted other frames in which that don't have and even went by to get a copy of my prescription to order. No problems at all it was ready when I stopped by. Frames of course run in many prices and you'll noticed that once going through the process. Be sure to ask if they don't have when you like they'll either try to find it or you can order elsewhere. I would like to state the reception and actual eye doctor are fantastic and I plan to keep seeing the doctor there. However my issue is with the glasses area. It took just about a month for the lab and the glasses area workers to get things right. First the lab bent my $300 ray ban frames so bad that I almost made them replace them. Well of course they had to send them back because they did not put the prescription high enough for my eyes. Then they get my glasses back and the girl calls me and says "the lab did not get the prescription correct in the right eye". The lab has one job. One job. So now I'll be waiting 3 weeks. I'm living in contacts day and night I tell the girl. She then says to me "well because you are so particular with your glasses we need to get it just right" I was floored that I was blamed. Yeah sorry I like to actually see out of my glasses!! She had a horrible attitude at me and at this point I demanded a partial refund due to this inconvenience. I have to add that she said this with complete attitude. Now my glasses finally came in today and I go to pick them up and I look at them and the lens are thicker!! I understand I have a high script, but I was so excited when I first saw them and how thin they were. I said to the girl these are thicker then last time. And she with an attitude (mind you this is now a different girl) no they aren't. Doesn't even look at me while talking to me. And I say yeah these are thicker. She says well with an almost -10.00 script there isn't much they can do. I'm not sure what is with the women who work in the lens and glasses department, but they have a serious attitude problem. I'll be taking my script next time to another place and not deal with this attitude. read more

I went today as a new patient and was in and out in an hour and a half which is impressive considering how busy they were. Dr. Chris was amazing. I have had persistent eye irritation the past two years which my previous doctors have dismissed as just allergies. I was starting to feel nuts because deep down I knew it was more than allergies. I went in for just an annual exam but Dr. Chris is so thorough he was able to diagnose my issue without me even talking about the symptoms I've been experiencing. Wonderful customer service! I called on a Tuesday morning to be seen for a scratched/ irritated eye. I was able to get a 10:30am appt the same day. I wanted to avoid any prescription medications and the staff was very understanding. Luckily my eye healed within the next few days but they assured me that if I'd rather have the prescription or if it wasn't improving, to just give them a call. I'm so grateful for this office as I'm new to Wilmington and didn't have an established doctor in the area. I highly recommend them! read more

Overall a very, very good experience. The whole staff was knowledgeable, warm, helpful, and very nice. The associate who ran me through all the preliminary tests was very personable and explained everything. Dr. Glendenning was also very thorough and explained everything in great detail. Very professional. The overall appointment time from start to finish (which included me picking out frames and ordering my glasses) was very quick. The price I paid for my glasses was very reasonable and competitive. Every aspect of my actual visit was fantastic. My one and only gripe (which is the reason for a 4 star and not 5) is that the follow up communication was very poor. When I say poor I mean non-existent. I was told when I ordered the glasses on December 31st that it would take two weeks for them to come in. I called on January 16 to check on the order status (because I had not received any communication of any kind). I was then informed that my glasses had not come in yet and that it would be another week and a half before they came in. I understand completely that order delays are most likely out of the control of the office (product shortages, back orders, etc), but what IS completely controllable by the staff is communicating such information to the customer. If I had not called in advance and then showed up to pick up my glasses only to find out all of this, I would have been extremely irritated. Other than the communication though, I cannot stress enough how great my visit was. For that alone I would highly recommend them. It's possible the communication issues for me personally were out of the ordinary seeing as how well run the office is. read more

Everyone at MyEyeDr. Was extremely nice and dr. Chris went above and beyond to diagnose my condition instead of writing it off as dry eyes as other Eye care providers have done in the past. We had an appointment on a Saturday morning for my 15 y.o son who was interested in contacts and needed a routine exam. We only had to wait about 10 or 15 minutes past our exam time which was not a big deal. The tech who did the preliminary exam and measurements was extremely nice and very thorough and took the time to explain what each test was for which was much appreciated. The doctor took her time and did a complete exam minus dilation since he was going to be attempting to put in and remove contacts. Once the exam was finished our tech came back in and worked with my son explaining contacts to him and showing him how to insert and remove them. She was very patient and gave him some useful tips to practice at home. We left with a pair of contacts, a case and solution. Lenses for his frames were ordered at the optician's office and they were also quite helpful, very pleasant and worked with my insurance allowance so we were able to get the lenses we wanted with no problems. I've been to other places like this out at Mayfaire and was appalled at their attitude and general lack of concern. So this was a wonderful find and I will certainly be back not only for my son but also myself. read more
