My eyeglasses had shattered internally, and the visible cracks on both lenses were long and distracting. I'd never had a pair do this. I had always been treated with great customer care, and I now felt abandoned! I almost called the Better Business Bureau, but held off as I like to give the benefit of the doubt. Another local optometrist thought the lenses were plastic and not polycarbonate. That was impossible I thought! Needless to say, as I was about to spend another several hundred dollars at a new store, a new associate recognized me and told me Sam had to close due to higher rents! I never found their goodbye email! Well, Sam and I reconnected! He drove from Queens to my home in the Slope. He took my glasses personally to the Lab, replaced the lenses for free--I was just shy of the warranty--and hand-delivered them before he left on a month-long vacation with his family in Asia!!!
