I have a Samsung Refrigerator that many people don't want to work on. However EZ said they would. My ice maker is no longer working. I called late Tuesday 1/13/26 and was told they could see me the next day. I was told that if they need any part that they would require to order the part because they don't carry them on the truck. Which I have no problem with. Came on time, Super Professional, and very friendly. Quickly Identified the problem, provide an estimate of the total cost and told me that have the ice marker on my Samsung was broken and needed to replaced. he should have the part within 2 days and was willing to come out over the week-end to make the repair. I don't know about any of the negative reviews that have been placed I was a little worried HOWEVER from my experience, I definitely do not see why people left those. Just purchased a new washer and dryer and the dryer stopped heating. Made a call to Maytag and they set me up with EZ Appliance Repair within a couple days. Erik called 10 minutes before arrival. Erik is rude to his customers and creates a hostile environment by arguing with the customer. I can't say for sure if he's any good at fixing problems as he was not here long enough to see the problem happening. I can say this. He obviously didn't have a clue about how residential electric panels work. He kept telling me the neutral wire went into the breaker. And also he apparently didn't know that an amp clamp doesn't check for frequency noise from the motor. He also should have used a megger to check the motor insulation but didn't. Any decent appliance guy should know better! Details of the situation follow: (sorry, a bit of a long read) I am having an issue with my LED lights flickering in my dining room and my GFCI tripping while my dishwasher is running. I called my electrician (Duane @ Mr. Sparky) to come out and find the issue. After extensive troubleshooting, he traced it back to the dishwasher. Duane found my dishwasher is on an independent breaker but on the same 110 leg as the GFCI and dining room lights. Duane switched the dishwasher to the opposite leg of 110 than the dining room and the dining room lights stopped flashing. Duane said it was most likely the dishwasher motor / wiring insulation sending noise or frequency harmonics and I should have a technician look at it. I called LOWE's and they sent Erik from EZ Appliance Repair. First EZ Appliance called and did not have the correct appointment date. That was ok though because they came a day earlier. Which worked better for me. So, when Erik arrived it seemed as he was already in a mood. I tried to explain to him what was done to this point. And he said "So, you think it's the motor" and I said "Yes, but I don't want to tell you how to do your job." He then said "but you are telling me how to do my job". I told him I wasn't trying to I was just telling him what I thought it was. It got worse from there because he hooked up an amp clamp (the only check he did) and said it is not doing it now. (by the way frequency doesn't show up on an amp clamp) I told him Duane thought it was the motor frequency noise. He became even more rude and argumentative at this point basically telling me I didn't know what i was talking about. How he was the appliance tech and I wasn't. Then he tried to school me (incorrectly) in how a breaker box works (the neutral wire thing and how all breakers come off the same buss bar, etc.) I told him he was wrong and I knew how it worked because I am an electrician. And he said "Well, why didn't you fix it yourself then"? I told him I am an Industrial Electrician and I have a guy for that. I explained that the electrician changed the dishwasher to the other 110VAC leg and that some other light In my house should flash when the dishwasher is running if i put an LED in it. I told him I had find out which light so I could show him. He got irate and said "It isn't doing it. I'm done here". I told him to wait and watch because it doesn't happen right away in the cycle. I then went to find another place to show him the lights were flashing. I went to the breaker box to find out which lamp was on the leg with the dishwasher so I knew where i needed to put a led bulb in so I could show him. He then went stomping through my house with his dirty feet yelling "Where is he? I'm done! I'm not going to wait for you to rewire your whole house!" I said aren't you going to wait for it to happen. He said "Im done here." I said you didn't fix anything and you didn't even wait for the problem to occur. He said nothing is wrong. I told him fine if he's done then leave. But i needed his name. He never gave his name he just kept saying "I told you on the call. When I called you to tell you I was coming." Again, I told him to leave, now irate. He said "I'm not leaving without my tools." I said "get your tools and go. Get out of my house." He said "Im leaving your dishwasher apart" I told him "Fine, Go, Get out of my house." (The electric cover and front skirt was still removed. Three screws total) He left. I put the covers back on. I called EZ Appliance and filed a complaint against the Tech and asked if they could send someone else. Come to find out Erik, their only tech, is the dang OWNER!!!! I then called LOWE's and filed a complaint against EZ Appliance. I have another company coming this Friday. If Yelp will let me, I will update this review with those results. I will not recommend this company to anyone. It shocked me that a business owner was showing his butt like this. read more

I'd give EZ repair a zero if I could. They lied to us from day one when the Warranty Company set up the appointment and they never showed up gave us the excuse the warranty company never contacted him with the information. Eric called a couple days later discussed the issue of it being the fan motor said he would order it and reschedule an appointment. Over a week later I contacted the warranty company.He then called us and were told he just received the part and was going to call you today.....made appt for 4 days later. Part was a remanufactured part which he blamed on the warranty company said that's the problem with them they sent the bad part. The refrigerator is in our motorhome told us he doesn't work on motorhomes.....it's a residential refrigerator purchased at Home Depot just happens to be in a motorhome. Told us if he'd have known it was in a motorhome he would not have taken the job. One month later still haven't gotten it repaired. I should have ordered the (new) part myself and taken 20 minutes to fix it. He was rude and condescending and the company has terrible communication and not to quick at getting the job done. Wouldn't recommend this company. Oh and according to the warranty company they did contact him about the first appointment the company was told it was in a motorhome and the repair company is responsible for ordering the parts. read more

Erik Johnson is the owner, and the only service technician. After being scheduled for a service call through Whirlpool's third-party division, he came to our home in April 2019 to fix our dishwasher, which was not properly cleaning nor drying our dishes. He said the dishwasher soap was enzymatic, and needed food to "eat," so stop rinsing the dishes (unless there's super-heavy soil and/or burnt-on food). He also said there was buildup from the Finish tablets we had been using, so we needed to switch to Cascade Platinum, and clean out the dishwasher. He recommended Affresh dishwasher cleaner. Fast-forward several weeks, after we had our kitchen redone. We saw the dishwasher was leaking during a wash cycle. We immediately canceled the cycle, drained the dishwasher, and removed the dishes. This was on Friday, May 3rd. Erik came back to the house Wednesday, May 8th. I told him we followed his instructions, and the unit started leaking. I showed him a video on my phone of the inside of the unit immediately after we saw the leak, and shut down the cycle. He said there was "no way" the Cascade Platinum did that. There were too many bubbles and too much soap, and the "pan" in the dishwasher was only so high, so the water had nowhere else to go. I asked why he was calling me a liar; he told me not to put words in his mouth. Well, obviously, if you're telling me there's "no way" the soap YOU recommended made our dishwasher leak, I must be lying, right? I asked what needed to be done to fix it. Erik asked if we used Affresh to clean out the unit. I said no, we used CLR, which is dishwasher safe when used as recommended. Erik said that's not true, we needed to use Affresh. I debated this because both products serve the same purpose, whether or not the dishwasher specifically said to use Affresh. He said he wasn't there to argue, and I seemed agitated. You're damn right I'm agitated! I asked him why CLR would say a product is dishwasher safe when it isn't, risking lawsuits from consumers. He said CLR is a "descaler" and not meant for the dishwasher. (Let's think about this: If there's buildup in my dishwasher, and Affresh supposedly removes that buildup...doesn't that also made Affresh a descaler? But I digress.) I asked again what he was going to do to fix the dishwasher. He said my voice was too loud, and he wasn't here to take abuse. Now, let me say here, I'm well aware of the difference between extreme frustration and abuse. I had a tech here, who wasn't fixing the dishwasher, and had the nerve to call me a liar in a round-about way. I don't take kindly to service techs who brush off my experience as the homeowner. Yes, you are the professional, but I'm the one living with this dishwasher. I did what you said, and now it's leaking, and you're telling me it's my fault? I think not! I told him to run a cycle with a new Cascade Platinum table to see what the issue is. He refused, and told me I needed to use Affresh first, available at Walmart for $6. He said the white residue inside my dishwasher was buildup. I pulled both the top and bottom racks out, and pointed out that the halfway used Platinum pack was still in the soap tray. That white residue was soap because we had to stop the cycle in the middle of the wash. He pulled out the residual pack and put it on my new butcher block counter. I put it back in the dishwasher. He took it out, saying, "I took that out for a reason," and put it back on the counter. I told him that was a new (butcher block) counter. He then threw the soap on the floor! That made me even more angry. He refused to do anything, said he was going to "call it in using what [he saw]," and tried to walk off the job. I was showing him out, and I believe I used the words, "What the f%$k." He was appalled, as my two-year-old was present in the home. He chastised me for my language in front of my child. I yelled out, "F&*K, I can use any language I want in my own home around my own child!" I demanded his name. He attempted to reach around me (roughly at the level of my neck, I'm 5' 3") to grab the deadbolt latch and exit my home. I was already standing there, and said again I wanted his name before he left (he hadn't given me his name prior, nor did he hand me a business card at any point). He said he would call the police because I was "imprisoning him." I told him to go ahead, and I called them as well. Mr. Johnson left using the back door as I was still on the line with the cops, waiting for the officers to arrive. He pulled into a parking lot across the street. Another officer arrived at my home. The first officer finished talking to Mr. Johnson and joined his coworker at my home. I told them exactly what happened and said that all I wanted was his name so I could file a complaint with Whirlpool. They told me it's Erik Johnson,wished me a nice day, and left. Samsung door icemaker went out week before Christmas. No problem called Lowes and they set me an appointment with EZ January 4 between 1 and 4pm. No show no call. I spoke with woman following Monday. Stated they need my model info and would order upper icemaker and call me when they received part. Waited a week and called back and was told they would call when part was in. January 20th they called set appointment for January 27th between 1 and 4pm for install. Took off work for the day, again no show no call. Left messages, no return call. Left two messages Monday the 30th no return calls. Called Lowes today they said part was returned and company was unable to reach customer, and were not home for install, wrong on so many levels and to put it plainly a ball face lie. I was here all day and have phone records to prove the calls I made to them. Complaint filed with Lowes. Lowes making it right, I'm choosing my repair person and they are going to reimburse. I was extremely disappointed in the service received. This was warranty work and he came out and within 5 minutes stated he was not going to fix because it was "roach infested." Total falsehood. Came out via Whirlpool warranty and fixed my problem right away. Super nice guy, very knowledgeable and courteous. I did think $70 was a *little* high for the service call fee but when your fridge is spilling water all over the hard wood floor you pretty much need somebody right away, so I wasn't complaining. :) Would definitely use Erik again and highly recommend him. read more
