I recently bought a condo and was looking to have overhead lighting installed. We were hoping to do 4 recessed lights in one room, and 3 central boxes in three other rooms. I called All Phase October 9 and set up an appointment with Christina to have an estimate on October 12th. On the day of the appointment, no one showed up. I called the office and there was no answer so I called a number Christina left, which turned out to be her cell phone number. I told her no one showed up and she said she would give me a call back. She never called back, but 45 minutes later, one of the other workers called to let me know he was 5 minutes away. The worker, Rob, was nice enough and talked to us about our various options. He refused to even broadly discuss price, but we didn't think that was too odd. When he left, we felt confident that he could get the work done in a competent manner. We waited anxiously for them to send us our quote. We got our quote a full week later, after I called and reminded them to please send us the quote. As other reviewers have noted, the prices were ridiculous. For the work requested, they wanted $1950. By comparison, the electrician we chose to do the work, charged us $880. They also, unsurprisingly, never followed up after sending the quote. Not the best business practices. Make sure you get multiple quotes whenever you're doing work like this. Otherwise you will be completely ripped off!

Plus, they replaced an outlet with a designer plug and cover and some other small things. Our repair guy analyzed, troubleshooted, and found the problem in minutes and then solved it without coming up with any bogus expensive extras. Simple and honest and because we had plenty of extra time we fixed some other stuff as well. I've used Conte numerous times and they are one of the nicest, most professional and competent, reasonably-priced and fair, companies I have ever known. I am not exaggerating and I have no personal connection with this company.

I had lost power off and…read moreon for a few weeks to 25% of the house, hesitating to call an electrician in fear of a big ticket price tag of having to replace the circuit breaker panel. I had called other electrician companies and all their emergency service appointments were all booked up. Calling Vaccarella Electric Services should have been my first call. Roberto picked up and wanted to solve the issue immediately over the phone. My initial diagnosis was completely off and in less than 3 minutes Roberto was able to determine the issue based on what I told him and answering his questions of what I saw. He told me to head outside and look at the piping connected to the meter. When I did, the meter was throwing up, "888888." That confirmed to me Roberto's diagnosis. It turned out to be a PSEG matter which saved me from having to get charged a service call. Roberto didn't have to pass up a chance at a service call, but in doing so has earned my trust and future business. My family and I thank you Roberto!

They sent a repairman out to check out the unit and he suggested after spending less than 10 minutes looking at it, that the engine was damaged and even though the motor was guaranteed by Generac, the cost of repair would be about $6000 and it would be better to buy a new one. He said it would take two people to repair it and it would take about two days. To say I was shocked was an understatement. I made a few calls with help from Generac and my local electrician who installed the electricity hookup suggested a dealer in New Jersey, (Benson Ver Hage Electric) who also gave me an estimate. He also concluded that my engine did need replacement. He also said the engine was covered under warranty but the labor was separate. His attitude was much more friendly and professional than the first guy and he spent at least a full hour checking out the whole unit as opposed to the time of 10 minutes that the first repairman did. He was a very pleasant fellow and when I told him that the other serviceman said it would be about $6000 he was shocked. He said the cost would b $750 to repair it and it would be done in one day. His specialty was only all house generators , He came back a week later and spent at least three hours repairing it and did an incredible job. The unit now works as well as the day it was installed which was about 4 years. He even cleaned up the oil that accumulated on the concrete base of the generator. Looking back now I realized that the original company was not being honest with me. The new company I used was Benson Ver Hage Electric Inc in Midland Park,NJ. The people they sent were so kind and knowledgeable and really knew what they doing. They came on time and I am so pleased with the work they did and the attitude and how they treated me. I am 82 years old and handicapped and they, unlike the first company treated me honestly and did a fantastic job. It's obvious that the first company was only out to make money at my expense or just didn't want to do the job.

His guys came by and were able to rewire a disconnected junction box in the damned ceiling by wiring a new lead from downstairs creating another leg off of the washer circuit and thereby restoring power to 4 receptacles. Overall, great experience, and Antonio is legitimately one of the nicest, no bullshit guys, and I value that. I will gladly come back to him for more work.
