I do not recommend hiring Marcos Garcia, owner of EZ landscape. He does quick work that is lacking in technical know how and does sloppy work. He "fixed" a sprinkler for us, doesn't stand by his work, up charges to come sooner and then ghosts the client. He did a sloppy job on a sprinkler valve and it still leaked. He said he would refund, but he hasn't. After several calls and text messages - his work ethic is showing its true colors. No response. No follow through. Do not use!!!! Came to "fix" a leaky sprinkler valve. He said he'd have to charge more to come sooner in the week, so we paid the greater price. He made it worse. I text him and he came back out. Still didn't fix it so I text him a video of the leaky valve. His response was "omg" then crickets. He did not come back out. I texted and called with no response. After a week he text and said he'd reimburse, that did not happen. He does poor work, and he's a thief! Zero stars! read more

Well, he would never listen to me and would argue with me, "we've been doing these shrubs like this for 15 years!". You, however, have been fantastic. I've had the opportunity to work with Marcos on two occasions and this review is based on both experiences. I heard about Marcos through the NextDoor app for Arden Park as he was branching out and starting his own business. I live in the Arden Park area. I already have a landscape architect, but needed someone to do some basic weeding/trimming and possibly add some additional plants to the yard. I would consider both of these jobs pretty small and nothing outrageous. After speaking with Marcos on the phone, he agreed to meet me one afternoon to price out the weed/ trimming job I needed for the yard. He showed up on time and was dressed very cleanly and neat. He has a great personality so I felt relaxed with him right away. The only thing that caught me off guard was the comment that he made when I asked him to quote me a price. He said he didnt wany to undercharge me but then pointed to the Land Rover in the front yard and said, with a laugh "you probably could afford it". That comment caught me off-guard and I had to justify this was coming out of my own personal budget , not my husbands. I brushed the comment aside and gave Marcos the job. On the day of the project, he showed up on time with his son and went to work. He was done in 2 hours. The job was okay. All of the major trimming of the plants and trees were done fantastically. He knew which plants could take more trimming and which plants and trees would need less trimming. He is very knowledgeable in that area. However there was still weeds in some of the bushes that could have been pulled out as well as some in the dirt. A few months later, I decided to give Marcos another chance and asked him to replace some dead plants with some new plants that I would purchased. Yesterday Marcos came out and planted 17 new plants in our front yard. I'd gone out and purchased all of the plants as well as the soil / fertilizer. Marcos showed up on time and was ready to go. I had laid out all the plants in locations that we were replacing the dead plants. My husband came out and asked Marcos to relocate a couple plants as well. Marco's did an excellent job. He cleaned up after he was done and the front yard looks fantastic. He charged me $140 to replace the plants. Marcos definitely knows his way around the lawn. It's clear that he's knowledgeable about plants and trees. He can look at plant/shrub/tree and it may look dead to you but it's clearly still alive. I didn't give him 5 stars only because I've had two interactions with him and I feel that there's still room for improvement. Would I hire him again? Probably. read more

He said he would return later in the day to fix it but never showed up again. Tried calling and calling but he ignores or has blocked my calls. Horrible service. Marcos was asked to help fix a leaky sprinkler system. I sent him a picture of the problem and he told me $120. When he came he then said it would be $140. Fine. When he was done, the sprinkler system was still flooding. I let him know and he said he would come back to fix it. He made excuse after excuse saying he doesn't have the part. He then said he had to order it. Then he kept saying he would come one day, then not show up. Then he said he'd come another day, then wouldn't show up. Eventually he just stopped responding to my texts and never ever showed up. I'm out $140 and still have a flooding sprinkler system. 0 stars. read more

I called Marcos and he was very nice. He was available and flexible to meet with me any time. He arrived on time, and we discussed my issues with the front yard sprinklers and my back yard. He told me what was needed, his prices are awesome, and he is trying to build his business. I cancelled my service with my other yard guy, but after discussing why, I'm giving him a second chance. I explained this to Marcos and apologized. Told him I will call and make an apt the moment my current yard guy falls on old habits. He was very kind and understanding.
