    I hired SL8 Home Services for a deep clean of my 3-story, 1250 sq ft townhouse. We keep our place pretty tidy but i figured I'll leave the deep cleaning to the professionals. Scheduling was easy, and their app is easy to use. The day of the appointment, Josh called five minutes before the scheduled time to inform me the cleaner would be 15-20 minutes late. When the cleaner arrived, it was only one person, which seemed inadequate for a deep clean. After giving the cleaner a quick walkthrough, I kept busy in my garage to stay out of her way until she finished upstairs, then I hung out upstairs. At 12:50, I checked in and informed her of a quick call I needed to make at 1. She said she had about 40 more minutes, so I asked her to come get me when she was done for the "Satisfaction Guarantee" walkthrough. When 2 came around I went to go check on her again and she had left without notifying me. Upon inspection, I found only one out of three toilets cleaned, water spots on glass shower doors, dusty baseboards, unwiped cupboard fronts, and a dirty dishwasher face. Also, many areas of my home look like they were wiped down but not cleaned. It took almost two hours to get a response from Josh about my issues, who only offered a brief insincere apology. If you like paying for a service and still doing half of it yourself then this is a great company to hire. If you want a professional cleaning job with real "Satisfaction Guarantee" you should hire a different company.

    ****Edit due to Josh response: It's not a weapon when my house was left filthy and I have a ton of pictures to prove it. I'm using the photos to deter future customers as you yourself said you'll use my case as an opportunity to train your cleaners who clearly don't know how to deep clean for a move out. And I definitely did the walk through, that's when the cleaner was giving me a bunch of attitude. I mentioned that....not "admitting" to not doing a walk through...? You should have left your original, unprofessional reply Josh, as it is a true reflection of you and this company. The new edited version is nice though. Choose somebody else or be left to do the cleaning properly yourself but still have to pay, like I did. To be fair, there was a little fiasco in the beginning when the cleaner showed and I had no running water. Fine, I paid for it and scheduled another cleaner for the following day. The original cleaner told me she only wiped down what she could reach, so I brought a step stool for the next day and cleaner who showed up with minimal cleaning products and did a poor job as well. She used 1 sponge for the entire house. SL8 will stress the "mandatory walk through" which is their satisfaction guarantee claim. However, nowhere in the app, they force you to download to book service, does it say this. Josh claims they say it over the phone numerous times but they do not. Regardless, it's irrelevant because the cleaner I had left the entire kitchen filthy and basically untouched the first time she came and the second time the company sent her out to finish the job, she still didn't clean it correctly. During this walk through, she gave me a lot of push back. I pointed things out and she said "I already did" "that wasn't on the list" "I did what I could" etc. 1) I shouldn't have to point every little thing out for a move out cleaning, as a business who provides the service, it should be known but 2) when I am forced to, I get attitude anyway so this "mandatory walk through" doesn't suffice as she was very clearly ready to leave and was over it/me. The company didn't charge me for sending the cleaner back but I did pay about $200 for basically nothing, for the first cleans. The pictures show this. Me and my mom spent over 2 hours cleaning properly with the correct cleaning tools I had to purchase. We redid all the cleaning including mopping, blind cleaning, oven cleaning, bathtubs, cabinets, fridge & freezer, the list goes on, to get my home ready for it's next tenant. I also had my AC on for the second cleaner and left her alone so she was comfortable and came back to my front door wide open, so that was nice of her to do to me. Definitely felt like it was a big F U to me. When I emailed Josh all my concerns, he didn't respond. After more than 24 hours, I emailed again and I did get a response. He placed the blame on me due to not having water and also said "I'm sorry, I wasn't aware you were waiting for a reply from me?" He said if we were able to keep the original plans, this would have turned out differently. I don't see how when both cleaners did not have the correct tools and supplies such as a step stool and oven cleaner. Despite whatever response they provide here because of this negative review, the photos speak for themselves and I should not have had to pay for this "cleaning service" when I didn't receive the cleaning.

    Stainless steel is cleaned like new.

My first call went to voicemail, and he returned my call while I was leaving a voicemail message. On March 24, 2026, Zach and Craig came to our 1850 sf home to clean all the carpeting. They arrived on time and got right to work, bringing in their equipment carefully and putting corner guards in place throughout the house. One of the first things I noticed was the pleasant scent - it is very light and does not smell like chemicals. My usual preference is for no scent, but I found myself preferring this delicate scent. They were efficient and quick (but not too quick!), and the carpets looked very clean when they were through. The price is one of the most reasonable I have found in Reno and includes a military discount (thank you, Zach, for your patriotism!). Fresh Start is fairly new to our area, but not new to the business of cleaning flooring. We look forward to trying their tile cleaning service next. If you need your carpets cleaned, I feel confident recommending Fresh Start Carpet Care.

One key bonus of this expensive move in was that the Owner came down and helped design the floor plan to our liking. In those 4 years, we miraculously haven't spilled anything on the upholstery. But our movements did leave some grime behind that merited a good cleaning. As out-of-town guests were coming soon, we contacted Summit Cleaning Services to do the job. Once we got past the sales pitch for the extras, we settled on a reasonable base price. It wasn't cheap, but we agreed at the end that it was a good value, especially since the furniture at the end really looked spic and span. With their truck and hoses, it reminded me of a Stanley Steamer affair. We simply stayed out of the way and let the owner do his work. We did need to wait a few hours for the cushions to dry, and before we knew it we were ready to watch Silo Episode 9 (Season 2) from the comfort of our clean couch. We also appreciated the extra cat care and scratching control advise and some tips to further maintain our furniture. They also do floor sealing, carpet cleaning, and associated other services.
