Worst bike rental experience EVER! My wife's bike not only had a loud squeak when she peddled, it was extremely rickety and hard to control. In fact, she had so much trouble, she swerved towards a car and almost hit it. The handle bars on my bike moved and my seat, which never sat right, broke while riding. almost causing me to whipe out. We ended-up walking our bike 3/4 of a mile back to their shack to return them a day early. We were both upset at having such awful bikes and having to walk them back that when we returned them, we expressed to the woman working, our disatisfaction at how they could rent such unsafe bikes. The lady snapped at us and told us that she only worked there and she didnt appreciate us being rude. We weren't rude and didnt say anything we wouldn't say to our Grandmother. We did have a right to be upset with her since she's the one who rented us such unsafe bikes. Lesson learned: If the bike looks and feels unsafe before you get off the lot, don't rent it .We don't recommend renting from this place! read more

Had a super poor experience and would suggest everyone avoid this place. We rented two bikes for the week which got dropped at our hotel in the morning. They didn't come with helmets, we mentioned that to the delivery guy, and he said he'd drop two off after a few more deliveries. Four hours later, we got a text (presumably from the manager) saying the delivery guy "just told him" and they would drop some off soon. By then we realized thst one of the bikes didn't work - it shut off almost immediately. So after several text exchanges, and waiting another hour or two, they finally brought a replacement bike, and one broken helmet (not two, working ones). First day - total bust. On day two, we realized that the headlights and turn signals on one bike were completely broken, and only the headlight worked on the other. The batteries ran down on both bikes after a couple miles (we have similarly powered eScooters that last over 20). One of the chargers they gave us was broken. One battery wouldn't even fully charge. Second day - essentially another bust. So that was it - we were done. At 7:30 the next morning, texted the same number I had previously been corresponding with to ask them to come pick up the bikes - never got a response. Tried the Facebook messenger option on their site - no response. Tried the messaging option on their Google listing - no response. Called - they answered - and agreed to pick up the bikes which they did. Now it was time for a refund because we essentially never got the service we purchased. Tried texting and messaging again - no responses. Called, asked for a protated refund for returning early (didn't even risk get into a fight about the first two non-days). They guy said he "wasn't in the office yet" even though it was after opening hours, he asked my name, and said he would handle it when he got into the office. By 5PM, no refund. So I took it up my credit card company. Wow. So. Terrible equipment. Clearly no pre-rental checks on their end. Broken promises. Horrible communication. Went to another place - total opposite. Excellent quality bikes, we witnessed them thoroughly inspect and tune them up first, wonderful customer service, and way cheaper. read more

I'd give them negative stars if I could. First of all the bikes are just ridiculous for the price. They are old, poorly maintained, and not road worthy when rented to you. They should be ashamed to charge what they charge and to have bikes where the gears don't work properly, the chain fell off, and there are no lights for riding at night. The locks are even worse and had to use because they are all old and rusted. I would NOT rent from here . read more

This company overcharged me. I reserved 2 e-bikes for 1 overnight. The company did not pick up the bikes after the overnight period ended. I texted them that I saw the bikes had not been picked up. I then asked if we could use them for a maximum 2 hours and they agreed. They stated I would be charged a "discounted" rate when instead they charged me for 4 hrs. vs. the 2 hrs. the bikes were used. I asked them to adjust the charges and they did not. I would not recommend using this company to rent bikes in Key West. read more

RUINED OUR TRIP! We were only there for 1 night and were so excited to rent E-bikes. We opted for the more expensive ones because we are experienced riders. Immediately we had issues with the one bike that kept shutting off. After a wild goose chase, the "owner" found us and replaced the battery. Then the bike still didn't work. Then the locks didn't work. Eventually we just exchanged the 2 expensive electric bikes for the cheaper ones ( which were so uncomfortable) & the aggressive acting man who kept meeting up with us assured us we wouldn't be paying ANYTHING because of the bad experience..... Of course, that wasn't the case. And I had to email to even get the price difference refund from the expensive bike- cheaper ones. THEN, a month later, there is a random charge on my credit card for $$45 dollars REOCCURRING. I emailed them and no reponse, no refund. I had to call my credit card company to dispute and make a reoccurring dispute which took hours and was a HASTLE. There are plenty of bike rental companies on key west. He made my wife cry he was so rude. WARNING!!! Stay away! Staff seemed ok (slightly rude for a tourism company), but the owner is whacked. (I'm telling you, read the reviews and see when people have issues, but then read the owner's response, he's not people friendly and always has to be right and for tourism- that doesn't work very well) Let me explain- we reserved online ahead of time like we have in all the other places across the US we rent ebikes at. Seemed normal. We picked up our bikes about 15-20 mins late due to unexpected traffic, but they seemed fine. (They do make you pay for parking so be prepared) We had a issue with my bike having power loss and then acting very jolty, so we took it back. The staff replaced the bike and our trip after was wonderful, but... Then the owner gets crazy about us fixing a $60 part on his bike and when my wife tries to civilly talk with him on the phone he just talks over her and doesn't want to listen (and the guy owns a tourism business). When my wife starts to cry I told her to just hang up. He sends texts to her longer than this review which is really long and come to find out it was all over a $60 part. We decided to rent e-bikes during our stay in Key West. We booked early with EZ bike rentals and the process was very easy and convenient. We scheduled for the bikes to be delivered to our hotel but when we got there we decided to pick the bikes up and begin using them. The biggest problem we had with the rental was when we got the bikes, we were not given very much instruction at all on how to use them. The young lady was very nice but basically just told us a few things about the bike and the locks and we took off. My wife's seat was too high for her and she couldn't put her feet on the ground when she stopped. At first we had a few problems figuring out the lock. There was some little secret you had to know to lock and unlock the bikes. Then when we locked the bikes for the night, I had a different set of keys for the battery than what I used for the lock. It was very confusing. In our option, these were all things that could of been avoided had we just been given better instructions when we picked up the bikes. But on the positive side, each time we called about a problem we were having, the owner would show up and fix or handle our situation. He was very prompt and was very helpful. The bikes themselves were outstanding. We were able to get all around the island with no problem, the batteries had plenty of charge and the bikes would get up to speed very quickly. The bikes were set up to where you could either get pedal assistance or you could use the automatic throttle. After figuring everything out, we loved the bikes. They were exactly what we were looking for and at a fair price. The owner even gave us a few extra hours for our troubles. All in all EZ Bike rental was a positive experience. They could of saved us all a little trouble if they had just given a little more instruction on the front end of the rental. I would refer this company to anyone who wants a fun bike experience in Key West. Hopefully they will iron a few of the kinks out! read more

this place absolutely sucks. i don't know if it was just the day but we rented two bikes and on the way home riding them the seats and handle bars were loose and moving. Then my dad went to tighten them and realized my bike was missing screws so we called for new bikes. Then rode them down to Duval and within 30 minutes of riding the bike my tire went completely flat and meanwhile it was wiggling weird but I kept riding, we had to walk the entire way home because they wouldn't answer. There's many other bike companies to rent from so don't waste your time with this one.. literally horrible luckily it didn't ruin my time here because we were laughing our asses off the whole time! read more

Have always rented from them. Offer good selection of e-bikes (and standard bikes) at reasonable rates, particularly since they deliver and pick up at local accommodations. They're a small operation centrally located at corner of Truman and Duval so quick tuneups are convenient too. But again, since they deliver, they can also come to you for tuneups. We had a bike get a flat tire and they were there ASAP with a replacement bike and let us keep our rental for more then enough extra time to make up the time. Wow!! Don't rent from this owner! I chose this place based on other good reviews. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with how we were treated!!! We were celebrating a special anniversary and were really looking forward to our time in key west. We reserved online and picked up our ebikes with no problem. Within the first 15 mins, one of them shut off and was making weird noises. The power button was loose, but we trusted all was well. We gave it another try and it still wasn't right. We immediately took it back to trade in the bike. The employee was super kind, traded it with not problems or questions. We went on our way visiting fort Zackary, riding around key west, and enjoying some beach time at Smathers beach. We actually wanted to just keep the bikes for the whole day at this point!! That's when ALL went wrong. I messaged the owner and he was quick to text us that we broke the first bike and we would be charged a fee!! What??? He didn't even call to discuss, just accused us of something we did not do. I quickly called him to see what happened and kindly share our experience. I was treated HORRIBLY!! He couldn't even talk calmly about what might have happened. He would not even stop talking to listen to our experience and even understand. We rent ebikes all the time, and I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and disregard. He gave us sooo much grief over a $60 part!! I Went to the little shack they have on Truman and Duval and talked to this nice Lady who made me a reservation for an e-bike for next day and it was supposed to be delivered between 8:00 and 8:30. No one showed up with the bike, I waited until 8:54 and left because I had another reservation for a snorkeling trip that I did not want to miss. On my walk to the marina I found out the guy had sent a message to my phone at 8:19 asking me to "confirm" the delivery, why did I have to confirm anything if I had already pay for the rental the day before. Anyway I texted him back telling him that I was no longer at the location and to cancel the order. I called him and e wouldn't talk to me. He started sending texts saying it was not his fault I did not answer his texts and that it is policy that people confirm his texts before he delivers ???(not disclosed in the contract.) his final answer was he is not refunding my money because I did not see his text.
