Do NOT sign up for personal training with this gym. I had purchased a package of training sessions when I signed up for the gym. Not knowing at the time how many sessions that covered, and not being completely informed by the person who sold me this, I continued to agree to come to sessions with the trainer after I had used up the sessions in that original package, unknowingly. They do not inform you that you will be paying $324 a session after that, they just charge the card on file. No communication, no warning, they just take your money. The sessions last maybe an hour, definitely not worth the money. I had stopped with the trainer after spending too much money to get minimal results. Now, 5 months later they are charging me $972 for sessions that they claim I didn't pay for. I was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to figure this charge out until I finally got a competent representative after being transferred multiple times. The gym is okay, like previous reviews stated, the bathrooms are disgusting, there are always several machines out of order and on most of the treadmills, the tread is loose which makes them slip and can cause a serious injury. I would recommend any other gym in the area, this place will take your money and you will get nothing out of it. Biggest takeaway here: DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING. Do not sign up for a membership here. I tried to cancel mine and they have made it nearly impossible. I spoke with customer service, and they told me my membership would be closed on 4/25/26, but it still hasn't been canceled. They continue trying to charge my card. I also called my home location, and they assured me the cancellation was pending. It's now July, and they're still attempting to bill me. This is completely unacceptable and incredibly frustrating. At this point, it feels like they're more interested in continuing to take people's money than honoring cancellation requests. I would not recommend this gym based on my experience. read more

If you expect some changes with the new change of ownership, you're dead wrong. Because half of the cardio equipments aren't even working, bathroom floors are dirty, pool is full of dirt and who knows when the last time it was cleaned. Not to mention the mobile app is wonky, you can't even view or make changes to your membership. I came in today to work out and downgrade my membership and guess what, I've been waiting for more than an hour as I'm writing this and NO ONE had helped. Front desk told me to talk for sales rep. Sales rep people told me to go talk to receptionist or leave a phone number. Do you need 2 sale reps to talk to one person signing up? Because as soon as the sale rep heard I wanted to downgrade, he immediately went to the other table that had clearly already been helped and started to chit chat with them. Apparently they are very swiftly when it comes to signing you up and pitching you a personal trainer plan but when you want to cancel, better luck next time. read more

Never had a more sticky locker room than this. Nasty. I found beef jerkey in one of the lockers, the floor is covered in liquid, juice and whatever makes the floor sticky. EoS has potential but it will never be more than it is because they hire minimum wage part time workers who really don't care about their work other than doing minimum work. They don't have a lot of machines here, but it's plenty for the average gym goer. It's also very spacious, bright and feels welcoming. But it doesn't matter, because every machine, every weight, is a mess. It's dirty, it's grimy, there's tons of shit on the floor and people really don't care. How unfortunate. read more

I've been coming to this gym for years, and the condition of the equipment has become unacceptable. During COVID, much of the equipment was stored outside, and it appears many of those pieces were put back into service afterward despite showing significant rust and wear. The deterioration is obvious and affects both the quality and safety of workouts. Many of the machines no longer move smoothly, which can increase the risk of injury and makes using them frustrating. The leg extension machine, for example, has been missing a handle for approximately five years and still has not been properly repaired. The overall atmosphere isn't great either. Many members seem frustrated, and there is a noticeable lack of positive energy compared to other gyms I've visited. This gym is long overdue for a major equipment overhaul. Members are paying for a fitness facility that should be investing in safe, functional, and well-maintained equipment rather than continuing to rely on aging equipment that has clearly seen better days. Please remove the silver leg press that machine is too small and causes injuries in the lower back for taller people. read more

If you have OnePass, don't bother with this place. I tried to sign up for a membership, and the asst manager showing me around tried to hard sell me on services that I didn't care for like a body scan, personal training, workout plan, and nutrition plan. After about 10 minutes of refusing an upgrade and anything they were offering, I just walked out. I don't know if things were like this when this used to be a Gold's Gym, but I'm staying away from all EOS gyms after this experience. Seriously, just go down the street and *choose* a better gym. I wish I could separate the review I have for the staff (5 stars, especially Anne and Manny) but the facility gets 1 star. The A/C has been broken in the cycling room for months now. Every time I complain to management (I have been told that the message I leave at the front desk is being passed on to Brian) I am told they are "working on it" and that it will "be fixed soon" and that they are waiting for a part. What part is so hard for a massive company like EOS to get?? The room quickly overheats. I have heard that some classmates have stopped coming to class over this issue, which is unsafe, unfair and not at all inclusive to everyone's needs. When classes are held back to back, the second class starts off hot and stuffy from the previous class. Classes become distracting because our instructors have to pause to turn the fans on or open the classroom door for airflow and then people from the weights section wander in. Management needs to get it together and fix the A/C. We are not signing up for "hot cycling." To top it off, the fan that has been working overtime is starting to creak. If that stops working, who knows how long it will take to fix and if we will even be able to have a cycling class. In which case I will cancel mine and my family's membership and find a more suitable gym. read more

Really disappointed with my experience at EOS Fitness. Around 11:40 PM, there was an employee inside the steam room with the door wide open, spraying what smelled like a strong bleach cleaning solution everywhere. I asked if the steam room was closed, and he said they close it every day at 12 meaning it should still be open for roughly 20 minutes. It wasn't even 12 yet, so I don't understand why members were being pushed out early from a service we pay for. I stayed in there for a minute expecting him to pause cleaning and let people use the steam room until closing time, but he just kept spraying chemicals with the door open letting any potential steam escape. The fumes got so strong I started feeling sick and had to leave. Poor timing, poor communication, and honestly a pretty unsafe experience. read more

Always friendly staff and easy check-in, clean and great floor plan this is how I felt when I thought that it was still a Golds Gym Franchise but I recently learned of EOS and over the past 3 weeks I've experienced and seen things that I haven't experienced with Golds Gym and I felt it was time to do a real honest review and not a quick review just to do it, The check in process has become a real pain in the ass most times, the staff behind the desk releys on the scanner at the entrance which is very temper mental and many struggle with it , at times 15 people deep trying to get it, when observed staff behind the desk laughing and talking to other guesses and not expediting the check-in, there are scanners that some staff place on the counter and this expedites the check-in and we're greeted otherwise we're not As I commented before the equipment is arranged well, is clean and functional aside from the usual break downs and repairs i can't complain about this The men's locker room , and facilities are not maintained on an regular basis Wet, slippery floors, trash on floors and poor ventilation, I expect more routine cleaning but then I know its the members who are routinely not always doing their part The pool and hot tub, for the most part hasn't been a disappointment until recently, cold hot tub water and no postings to inform us before we get undressed and step in to be disappointed The hydro massage beds for the past several weeks have been shutting off after 3,5 minutes and won't turn back on even after when reset, When staff is approached they try their best but are not trained in these areas and also not trained in how to rectify the situation with the member, for the past 4 nights beds shut off early and now only 2 beds are actually functioning The overall atmosphere of the club has great potential but I am seeing a fast decline since the change in management Every night the club turns off the overhead music 60 minutes before closing and staff shouts out closing in one hour, and this is repeated as the time counts down, just totally unprofessional and startling, just taky My last complaint is I took a friend on my membership a few times until I referred him and he joined, he attempted to join one evening and was told he could do it online as he did and when he filled out the online form there was no location for a referral When I addressed this the staff said they know this and they cant do anything Ive never heard of such ludicrous I rarely ever knit pick a business apart but I'm seeing and experiencing too much unsatisfactory items too fast and I hope this constructive review is used to better serve its members read more

I am writing to express serious concerns regarding the sales practices I experienced at this location. While the staff initially appear friendly, the approach used to promote additional services--particularly personal training packages--feels misleading and overly aggressive. During my visit, pricing and service options were discussed verbally, but I was not provided with any written contracts or documentation to review. All information was shown only on the employee's computer monitor, which was positioned in a way that made it difficult, if not impossible, for a customer to clearly read. The monitor could not be adjusted, and at no point was I offered printed copies of the agreements. Additionally, I was asked to initial and sign multiple times on a digital pad without any explanation of what each signature represented. This practice creates an environment where customers may unknowingly agree to terms they have not had an opportunity to properly review. These tactics come across as unethical and potentially predatory, and I believe many clients may have been affected by similar experiences. I urge EōS/Gold's Gym to implement more transparent and customer-focused procedures. Clients should be provided with printed copies of all agreements, given adequate time to read them, and offered clear explanations of any terms they do not understand. Relying solely on digital displays or citing eco-friendly policies should not be used as justification for withholding proper documentation. Greater transparency would not only build trust but also prevent situations where customers feel pressured or misled during the sign-up process. I am afraid that these procedures may not be implemented due to concerns that providing full transparency could reduce sales, as some guests may reconsider once they fully understand the terms. read more

I had one of the most disrespectful experiences here and would strongly recommend staying away from this gym. I moved to Anaheim about six months ago and recently have been checking out different gyms in the area. I found EOS and signed up for their free trial on 1/28/26, receiving a VIP pass. I came in to use it on 2/4/26. Right away, the front desk employee told me I had already used my trial "a month ago," which is simply not true - 1/28 was only a few days prior. He then asked for my ID, saw that my address hadn't been updated yet, and started accusing me of not living nearby. I was then asked to provide additional documents to prove my current address. The whole interaction felt accusatory and unprofessional. If the gym doesn't have a proper system to track free trial usage, that should not be taken out on customers. Being questioned and treated like I was trying to cheat the system before even stepping into the gym completely ruined the experience. First impressions matter, and this was a bad one. I'm an experienced gym goer for 30 years. I signed up for a seven day trial here because it's the closest one to my house. I let the sales people know they're welcome to show me around and I listened to the sales pitch. I explained maybe 5 to 6 times that let me try it out for my seven day trial and I will let you know if it works for me. Then the manager was brought in to continue the sales pitch to sign up today before I even set foot inside to try it. It took 30 minutes. Super uncomfortable. I Had to fill out my personal information three separate times. You make you feel so uncomfortable that I took my gym bag and walked out the door.. It's not a company I would trust with my checking account or credit card number. If it's this hard to even try to work out imagine how hard it would be to cancel. The hard sales approach doesn't work with everybody. It's OK to let people try it out as they requested. Such a Horrible experience that a free trial wasn't even worth it. read more

The gym at this location did not meet the standard I'm used to from my usual EOS gym. The entire line of stationary bikes were all broken. That's like 15 machines in a row. It also feels like there's not always enough ventilation. I did go during a busy time, but the air felt warmer and more humid than normal in a gym. And grossest of all, they don't adequately stock paper towels. The first time I went, they were completely out of paper towels and some of the dispensers were broken so people couldn't wipe sweat off the equipment. YUCK!! Hopefully this will not be the case the next time I come. read more

As of two days ago, the pool and jacuzzi are finally working and are wonderful. It took quite a while for this to happen. I am hopeful that they will continue working. I have also noticed an improvement in the women's locker room. I am sorry to say, a lot of the problems is the clientele not being responsible for their own mess. However, since that is the case, it does fall to the cleaning crew to fix it. I wouldn't mind seeing signs posted telling people to handle their own trash. read more

I recently decided to rejoin EOS primarily because of its pool and jacuzzi amenities. However, during the nearly three weeks I have been here, I have observed that the pool has remained unheated. Employees and other members have informed me that this has been the case for quite some time, with no estimated time for repairs or upgrades. As a result, I have been using the jacuzzi instead of the pool, but even today, the jacuzzi was closed off. I am somewhat disappointed about rejoining under these circumstances, but I am willing to give them a little more time before considering canceling my membership! read more

If I were rating what used to be Golds Gym in Garden Grove, I would've given a higher rating but since the changeover in the new management with EOS fitness, sadly most everything I use the Jim for has declined or is not even working! I feel sorry for the front of people who are inundated with questions by those of us who are unhappy with a cold and filthy pool that has not worked in a couple of weeks now, the Jacuzzi was green the other day when I went to use it, so I did not get in though sometimes it does work and have hot water and is very pleasant, there are also times when it doesn't work and last Saturday it was literally Green, so I actually took pictures of it... Sadly the women's locker room has declined as well. Toilets are not flushed, the conditioner in the body wash are not refilled or they put the wrong one in the containers, and there's trash on the ground and mould and mildew around the drains... If you put your hand against the wall to steady yourself it is filthy.... Last April, when the water refill for our water bottles was broken near the women's locker room, it literally just got fixed last month so it technically took 10 months for it to be fixed! A lot of of us use the pool for Therapy because we have different physical issues, and we are not there to work on the equipment, so having the pool heated is essential to our medical conditions, and having it clean as a health requirement for all people, because sanitation should be high on the list no matter who is the management! Both of us needing this class go because of the day and time it is held, and the location is local for us... We should not be told that we should drive to another facility that is not convenient to us just because they don't want to fix the pool heater, and clean things up! I'm really disappointed, because I joined this gym specifically for its location and the fact that it had water aerobics in A heated pool, which is exactly what the rheumatologist recommended.... US is getting our monthly premiums whether it's out of pocket or through Medicare, they are being paid yet we are not receiving the benefits of our membership.... With someone please respond that has the ability to get something done at this facility! Someone's already addressed the Massage chairs but that's the other reason that I joined, and even though I pay $10 a month extra to use them, I'm lucky if one is working and if it stays on the whole 10 minutes !! I hope someone will finally respond, as calling or talking to the staff has not gotten us anywhere!! read more
