Very nice gym. Nice modern interior. Nice equipment in good shape. Locker room was not run down or felt 'icky'. This EOS felt 'newer' than some other locations. Good variety of machines and weights. Ample cleaning stations. Staff member helped me get my membership upgraded quickly. He didn't seem super enthusiastic while assisting but was willing to answer all my questions. It is what it is. Update: I'm even more disappointed now than I was initially. The owner publicly responded to my original review immediately asking me to reach out via email so they could address the situation. I did exactly that and emailed them prior to my review and have yet to receive any response. At this point, it feels less like they genuinely care about resolving issues and more like the response was just for appearances. If you're going to ask customers to reach out, the bare minimum is actually following through. Last night I got stopped for bringing in a 17 year old guests. Yes there's rules and I wouldn't have brought her BUT they had been letting her in as a guest multiple times and at multiple locations since February. Elias was not professional at all made a couple disrespectful comments him being a manager and working as customer service he had no right to say anything at all to me. The young lady at the front desk was amazing. The young lady that did my paperwork was amazing. The fitness manager who came to introduce himself and meet me was NOT amazing. He refused to listen to my needs and vigorously insisted I try equipment and exercises that I cannot do without causing extreme pain and damage. I had to repeat myself multiple times and his insisting persisted. It wasn't until I threatened to cancel the transaction that he finally stopped. I don't appreciate being ignored and coerced especially when my health and well-being are at stake. I don't know what his endgame was by trying to force me to say yes to using equipment and doing things outside of my physical ability. So after almost a month of dealing with EOS i finally got to the bottom of an "accidental" charge made to my account. I was told that the random 20 dollar charge was due to them trying to charge my late fee because the two individuals that did waive my late fee weren't supposed to. No call was made to be to let me know that the waive shouldn't have been authorized and that i would end up being charged. The random charge for COCOLLOVE 16.9 oz was supposed to be them attempting to charge the 25 late fee and they stated it didnt go through so they charged 20 instead and it went through... I have documentation to prove that i had all my rent money in the account they charged so it wasnt that it didnt go through. I also explained that this is the first time in the 4 years i have been at EOS that ANY AND ALL charges (even attempted) have not been notated in my account on MY end. I was told that they cant refund that 20 dollars but they can refund the annual fee i already paid. I let them know i really dont care what im refunded i just need to be refunded because i have documentation of all things waived and all things paid. I have called six times now and have been told each time "you should get your refund in a couple days". I had heard so many horror stories about EOS but i didnt know it was THIS bad. read more

I became a member about 2 months ago and during this process I was offered personal training by Trevor. During this process I informed Trevor there was no possible way for me to afford it because it was asking for about $150 monthly for 1 time weekly training. He then offered me a two week trial where I could experience personal training for two weeks for only $19. I decided to do it and he confirmed that I would NOT be charged after the two weeks because we will cancel it. During my first session I met up with Coach Lou and Trevor and Trevor asked me if I wanted to continue and I said no. He then left and came back and said I was all good and that it was cancelled and I wouldn't be charged further. As of now I have been charged for two seperate personal training programs that I am not attending and have been charged over $600 dollars for this. I have fought in the store and outside the store trying to find someone to help me cancel this program but I have been refused repeatedly by everyone I spoke with. I am not told that I will be charged for 2 more full months and there is nothing I can do about it. I then asked to cancel my membership and was told I cannot because of the personal training agreement. To summarize, I am now stuck paying for 2 personal training programs that is over $300 a month, which I am not attending. I am also stuck with a membership at this gym and am not being allowed to leave. I have college tuition and other bills to pay for and simply cannot afford this, and now I'm being scammed which will cost me over $1000 dollars by the staff. I have talked to several fitness managers and store managers and none of them care or even try to help me. The most help I've gotten was an email, which responded by telling me to go in person for help. Eos has taken over $600 dollars from me and will continue charging me for a program that I am not a part of and was fa signed up for. read more

I am not upset with the local gym here in Mesa on Alma School Rd. The facility is clean and the staff is nice. My problem is with corporate of which there seems to be no way to phone them to settle the over charge dispute l have with them for my son's personal training and the staff has emailed them without resolution. So my advice is be very careful about handing over your credit card for recurring payment. Even after my contract was fulfilled i kept being billed. They do not like to give your money back and you pretty much have to cancel your credit card or keep disputing to make it stop. Others have told me this is also their experience. read more

My husband & I go to this EOS very early in the morning and the 2 employees that work the overnight shift; Chene and a gentleman (sorry I don't know his name) always greet us with a big happy smile! And they are always there to help if needed. The gym is always clean & tidy and I think it has a great variety of equipment! Keep those 2 employees and keep doing what you are doing!! I signed up to the Signal Butte location mainly to swim laps, not walk in the pool or refresh my behind, I signed up to swim, unfortunately the pool is a dirty pond, murky water and possibly bacteria that causes ear infections and probably "private parts" infections. Management told me to contact the company headquarters because they know the pools are dirty but it's out of their power to "clean" them appropriately. read more

When they make you pay 159. For membership which comes with personal trainer they did not disclose that not only did I have to pay for membership but also the personal trainer. Then I get a call saying I have to pay $117 for the personal trainer which I never received or got appointment for. Then they sent me to collection for that amount then once you call the swift financial they then do dail charges on top of bill until you pay it off. Swift financial charges .50 daily on top of your bill. Eos needs to let the person who signed you up mine was Mason to tell you everything about the contract including additional fees which again were not discussed. read more

I go to the EOS 5 days a week. I love the variety of equipment and distinct spaces they have set (the yard, movie theatre, spin room) and have tried all out. I have been working with Marcus S, once a week for personal training. This has added to my positive experience. I get pushed to the point where I am not sure I can do it but with his encouragement always get through my training workouts. He has introduced me to a ton of new exercises and equipment that I have begun to use regularly. I have seen a change in my body, my energy and confidence when I come into the gym. Everyone has a different vibe and needs a little something different in a trainer, Marcus has been a perfect fit for me. read more

I joined EoS a week ago and was surprised to learn that my wife, whom I listed as my emergency contact, received a sales call from the EoS team trying to sell her a membership. It is deeply concerning that EoS prioritizes sales over customer privacy. When I addressed this issue with the manager, they appeared polite but offered no clear explanation as to why emergency contact information is being used for marketing purposes. I'm a member of Silver and Fit and I have paid $10.00 extra so that I can go to different locations and ever since then they been trying to cancel my Silver and Fit membership and they been trying to get me to pay $29.99 and trying to get into my bank account is been a struggle to stop that, I got so tired that I end up cancelling supposedly they told me they have cancelled and removed me from the automatic mail, despite of the cancellation, I received an email stating that they are going for the $29.99. I'm from Chicago and my 2 sons (20 somethings) took me to their favorite gym to work out with them... and they DIDN'T take it easy on me : ) EOS is a really nice gym. It's much bigger than it looks from the outside. Lots of cardio, machines, and free weights. The quality and condition of their equipment is a very solid 5/5! This location is equally as close to my house and was open before the location on Alma school and the 60, so I understand why their amenities aren't as cool. They don't have a pool, their kids area is just one big room. Much smaller than the other location I go to. The staff is equally as friendly and helpful, the equipment works just as well, but it's just a little older so naturally the newer one is cooler. This one isn't as busy as the one on Alma school and the 60 but is still pretty busy. They have more of a downtime for sure, they're definitely less busy super late at night. I still go to this one though, and won't stop. Just don't go to this one if I have my daughter because she likes the other one better. read more

We go to EOS 7 days a week, when we're not out of town. I'm a swimmer, and my handicapped daughter Brenda, walks in the pool. What we like the most is the staff, Ember, Melanie, Osiris, Jackson, Brandon M, Brandon S, Calista, Monica Tyson and Jack. All of them are welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and sincere. Do not support this local gym. My 75 year old elderly Hispanic father was racially profiled along with my teenage 13 year old son and were interrogated like there were some kind of criminals. My elderly father who has cataracts in both eyes and who barely reads and understands English accidentally went into the women's restroom and quickly realized it and walked right out and went into the men's restroom to use the bathroom. He then was confronted from staff took him into the office and made my father leave my teenage son alone as they had asked for his id which fortunately my dad gave it to them without knowing his rights proceeded to get interrogated and treated him very rudely and very aggressive as he was some kind of criminal. This was my dad's first time at this gym location as he has a universal pass from Medicare that gave a gym pass and thus gym unfortunately was his choice that he wanted to go to to make a lifestyle change and unfortunately, this was his first encounter at this gym and it was very unfortunate How disrespectful they have treated my 75-year-old father. He is now traumatized as well as my 13-year-old son . Unfortunately the lady that was interrogating My father refused to give him her name or business card, but we're OK taking my father's information from his ID and now he feels very violated and belittled and embarrassed since his ID does have his veterans information. Please be aware of this location as they racially profiled as he feels and have very poor customer service skills and just want to belittle you and not actually take into consideration that these things actually do happen and they have camera footage and everything as they see that my dad literally stepped in and out as he realized it was the women's restroom. Do not take your service to this gym.!!! You should feel very ashamed as how you have treated a 75-year-old retired US veteran with zero criminal history when all he wanted to do spend some time with his grandson and follow his doctor orders and go to the gym to better his health . This gym has good equipment, if only it were working. I cannot tell you the number of times I've walked into the gym and the same three treadmills, machines, and water fountains, are still broken after weeks and weeks. I'm told our annual membership fee goes toward facility improvements ...what improvements? This gym is so run down and I'm not really sure what I'm paying for... The worst kind of people workout at this gym - selfish, unaware, rude, taking over the same one machine for hours - why am I paying a membership fee if I don't have the same access to the equipment as others who can take the time to spend all day at the gym? And forget about the staff doing anything. They're very nice, but don't really do any work to make the gym better or operate more efficiently. I had LOCKER #1 and my items were broken into and stolen. Be careful! They told me to "use the front lockers" But I carry a gym bag/backpack so unfortunately this option doesn't work too well for me. So the gym is pretty good. lots of gear, spacious, clean. the childcare people are super nice. But watch out, they make it a business to over charge you. they told us all we would pay was $62.00 a month for the membership and the childcare. they billed us $180.00, in two separate charges on the same day. they said it was for two adult memberships, childcare and and annual fee. at the signing we were told the annual fee was two dollars and that $62.00 because of a promo covered 2 adults and 2 children. when I called to complain I had to negotiate to get $140.0 refunded in 5 days. Overall, I like EoS gyms in general; they keep their gyms pretty clean and in terms of gym memberships, this is one of the more affordable options, and I think the cleanliness itself is worth that value. But if I didn't live right next to this location, I would not go to this particular franchise for a couple reasons. First, the maintenance feels like it's becoming lackluster with one water fountain constantly down, soap dispensers not working, and several pieces of equipment that don't seem to have plans of coming back into action. I understand that gyms come with wear and tear but the turnaround times on even some of the more basic things seem to take a while. Second, and a big one for me, is the sauna. I'm not sure why the original one went down but the sauna closed for a good couple weeks. I can understand this taking a bit of time because this is a more specialized piece of equipment. However, the new one they've replaced it with BARELY gets hot. Definitely gets a sweat going but I'm pretty sure I'd get more heat outside this summer. There are no longer controls for the light or the heat and there's no thermometer inside. A very big downgrade in my opinion. There are still days where it doesn't seem to be working and you have control or visibility on whether it's actually on or how hot it is. Finally, this EoS probably has the bare minimum amenities and least to offer in terms of an EoS franchise. No pool, no "MOVEoS Cinema", and a relatively small selection of machines compared to other EoS locations. I understand it is very limited by its space, but there has to be a better layout for a lot of machines, they are VERY cramped together. Like I said, EoS is overall a good gym, and this one is worth being my regular since I am so close but if you have the option for another home EoS location, I would recommend another location. read more

GREENWAY EOS: It's has been so long since I've ever had issues with anything like this. When joining for $10 a month, I suggest you write your own contract and give to them when you open an acct, and state yourself is the only exercise instructor. Do not get sucked into there scams. Their reputation proceeds them with so many others. Over the last 5 weeks I've heard so many excuses, lies, and unprofessionalism. You can only hide problems until it hits the fan.
