This should be deemed constructive criticism. i love this gym and really want to continue my membership. 480 could easily be an undisputed solid 5 Star facility if they would pay attention to necessary maintenance as well as cleanliness. There are numerous hand sanitizing dispensers which are always empty. The attached Pics tell the story. Some machines are so neglected ( Dirt and Lubrication) they hardly operate properly. I hope ownership finally acts with the necessary steps to improve this facility, showing respect for its members, as there are so many good aspects of this gym that are currently being outweighed by the bad ones. read more

I travel a lot for work. This gym is across the street from my hotel. OMG! This feels like my own personal gym. Went on peak workout hours. 6pm Gym was light on traffic. Which was good for me! Extremely clean! Weights and machine looks NEW! So much room to workout! Restroom is also clean! Customer Service was fantastic as well I believe her name is Mary Ann. Gym owners! The atmosphere in this gym really makes you want to push yourself every day. The trainers and staff are always on their game and you can see the level of commitment they have to making this the best gym environment for all. They have begun offering small group classes on Saturdays & Sundays as well, which are taught by the same friendly staff you see on a day to day basis! The gym is always clean and they are constantly making improvements to the equipment and facilities as well. There are many old reviews here relating to previous ownership and staff but nothing recent that pertains to the current situation which is surprising given the talent of the staff. If your concerned about Covid safety this gym goes above and beyond. Everyone wears a mask, equipment is wiped down, and the floor of the exercise room is cleaned after class. I feel safe and confident that CDC guidelines are being met. As important as safety is I really love this gym for the fitness classes. Haley is a wonderfully dedicated instructor. Each class is different and challenging. And Haley is always cheerful and encouraging . I'm so glad to be back after sitting on the sidelines waiting for the pandemic to run its course. Have had a billing issue for some time now and been to the front desk 3 times to resolve it, each time it is suppose to be taken care of and each time it is not as I continue to receive text messages and emails telling me I am late with payment. Cannot even talk to anyone at a corporate level. I like the gym but the business practice lacks professional guidance and will probably leave because of the lack of care. Lots of Gyms out there to deal with this crap!! read more

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I suppose if you like listening to rap music all day it could be a spot for you. If you like older equipment that's not well-maintained again this could be for you. Try to cancel a membership and you can only do it Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 to 6. Absolutely ridiculous. Save your time and save your money lots of other choices out there. This place won't last more than a year. read more

I have tried SOO many gyms in the past and this by far is my favorite. They have everything you need! Child care was a big one for me! They are so wonderful!!! I just started with this gym a few weeks ago and I love it. The fit classes with Derrick are the best! He is an awesome trainer & it's the only gym that I have been excited to come to the workouts. This place also has a pool, sauna, water massages and other workout equipment to use on your own time. Sta Fit has new management and staff who are knowledgeable and friendly. I followed the GM Derrick from another gym because he's that good. You can not beat the price. There is a variety of classes, a sauna, a steam room, a spa, a full length lap pool, a weight room, and a cardio room. They are currently working on many up grades. The flex fit camp classes I go to are challenging and fun. Give this place shot, you won't be disappointed. read more

Very disappointed in the gym since the new ownership took over. They took $1500.00 out of my account by mistake and insisted that it was a legitimate charge. It took 4 months to finally get it straightened out and have the money refunded. The final straw was when I made 2 sets of business cards for them - for the Fitness Manager and the Operations Manager. The agreement was that they would add 6 months to my membership. A month after the cards were delivered the Operations Manager left. Shortly after that, I was informed that not only did they not add the 6 months, they refused to pay as an alternative! Their explanation was that I needed to go after the Operations Manager personally and they were not responsible. Ridiculous! I would not recommend this gym and would advise any one dealing with them to be careful. read more

I love this gym, specifically the FlexFit classes. They are challenging and offer a great sense of community.

After being given misinformation from another gym I was on the search for a 1 week pass from a gym while in town for business. Sta fit accommodated this for me even though it's not a normal option they have. The equipment is a little dated but perfectly functional for everything I need. It's not crowded at all and Trent at the front desk was really nice. Thankful I found this place for my trip! read more

Absolutely do not join this gym. It is run down and dirty and broken equipment is not repaired for weeks to months. Further, although I have tried for one month to end my membership, tactics used by the club to prevent that include lying to my face, refusing to answer the phone, refusing to call back to resolve this, continuing to pull money from my account despite assurances otherwise, refusing to accept my certified letter to end membership because "addressee is unknown." New owners have NO sense of urgency on turning the sauna and steam room back on in men's locker room. Has been "out of order" for the past couple weeks. Staff has given every excuse under the sun. Oh we gotta clean them, oh we got to re tile them meanwhile nothing has been done in those two weeks. They work just fine, completely operational but don't want to provide the services they supposedly offer. I was told that the owner couldn't get a hold of the cleaner, well then get another cleaner we live in a big city there's tons out there! This gym has gone through two takeovers in the past 2 years or so. There are numerous problems with broken equipment, both on the exercise floor and in the locker rooms. Tanning beds (which worked) were removed in favor of a "stand-up" tanning device that required entirely different electrical wiring, which Sta-Fit has yet to complete. The handicapped-accessible shower (fold-down seat) was ripped out of the wall months ago and not replaced. Not a very welcoming experience for the elderly and physically challenged members. The swimsuit "wringer" broke 2 years and won't be repaired because "it's too expensive". In general, the place is dirty. The landlord (who owns the entire shopping center and who ran the gym (as Fitness Forum) for nearly two decades, needs to take back the day-to-day operations before something really bad happens to a member due to poor maintenance. read more

I recommend taking the fit class. Each session is targeting a different muscle group. The place is under new management and improving with the remodels. They have other classes and times to choose from. The prices are decent too. I'm glad I picked this gym, plus the people here are nice and welcoming. read more

Same gym just a different name. I will be honest with you. You get what you pay for and not worst case scenario. Some of the staff is nice. The manager just sits back on his headphones and doesn't care who comes and goes. The equipment is nice and some was brought in as refurbished but good. Some of the equipment is broke still and I'm guessing they are waiting till someone gets hurt and the manager knows it's broke. They have enough room to add more. The locker room are below average and I believe plenty of people agree. Ownership is improving them little by little. Was not happy about having to ask that when one of the dumbbell will be fix since it's was almost 2 months later. Instead of ownership getting a new one or just fixing the old one. They had to have a member fix it for them so they would have a matching set. If you just like to push some weights around then a good place without big crowds. read more

I visited this gym while I was in town and was really surprised at what a great experience I had. I enjoyed the new StairMasters and the gym over all looked like a great place to go for a swim or get a good workout in. I look forward to joining when I'm in Chandler. This location has been a gym for many years with new owners. There is a lot of broken equipment as well as new or refurbished. Some equipment like the rowing machine has been out for repair for at least 3 weeks and some of the bikes just sit un-repaired. It's quiet and has lots of TVs although pre-set to specific stations and can't be changed. It is convenient if you live in the area and accept Silver Sneakers. read more

I've been going to this gym for about a year now. $10 a month +$50 annual maintenance fee, works for me for now, but I don't know for how much longer. Older equipment that's not well-maintained. Not sure if they are having financial issues at this time or not, but they don't even stock the disinfectant wipes anymore... Recently re-tiled the men's locker room. It doesn't smell like piss anymore, give it time...They have had issues with not opening on time. This seems to be a mostly a weekend issue. I arrived at the gym this morning, 3/30/19, at ~6:20am and the place wasn't open, again!.... Times posted for Sat 6am - 8pm. I have complained to the manager about this in the past and the response I receive was very weak! "Yes, I hate when that happens". No apology, no this is what we are doing to resolve that issue, etc..... At the very minimum you should never neglect to manage; it's in your title! They changed the music they play in place a while back to this rap, remix, instrumental, techno type of noise that I don't consider music.... It's horrible and the folks at the front desk refuse to change it. I know for a fact I am not the only one who feels this way. One of the trainers seems to enjoy the music and some at the front desk have defended the music selection. I haven't come across a single patron who enjoys the music; so much for the customer is always right. So, if you are OK with a cheap, run down place to work out where customer service is severely lacking this is the place for you! read more
