    Josiah breaks down macros and dieting to a simplistic form. He has MANY lengthy documents and resources that provide insight on how to achieve diet goals. In his program I have learned how to eat a delicious diet that I look forward to all while losing 32 pounds. Ever since bringing Josiah on as my personal trainer I now have incredible strength that I couldn't even have imagined, my self-esteem has improved dramatically, and that has trickled down to all facets of my life. Dieting and working out have become my lifestyle and a passion. It is not a chore at all. His mentorship and consistent engagement with me even outside of our sessions have been extremely impactful. I am blessed that our lives have crossed - Josiah has really contributed to my physical and mental health being at an all time high.

    After a shoulder replacement in July 2019, I had some complications. It took 8 different specialists and a whole dermatology team to figure out I was a medical mystery. For much of July 2019 to Nov 2020, I was on heavy pain meds and steroids. That along with the Covid lock down just gave me a reason to not care & I packed on the weight. Once I was on the road to recovery, I found out I couldn't fit in any of my clothes. At 54, I didn't have shoulder surgery to be unhealthy so I knew I had to do something about it. I struggled trying to lose the weight but by December 2021, I finally lost about 50lbs starving on 1000 calories a day. Then came the worst part...I had to start exercising. Every night I would promise myself, "tomorrow will be the day I at least go for a walk." That promise went unfulfilled for over a month. Upset with myself knowing I had to just do it, I also needed a motivator. After going to a few gyms & trainers and hearing their promises I came across Josiah in January 2022. We started with a call to discuss goals, what I needed in a trainer and exercises I've done in the past, to name a few. He then explained his program. He told me about his 24/7 availability and explained macros, accountability and the best part.... NO CARDIO! He did say that of course cardio is good for your heart and your overall health, but it wasn't necessary to get me to my goal. He also explained that diet and cardio wouldn't change the shape of my body but weightlifting would. The best part is after 1 years of training with Josiah I didn't just hit my goal but I went beyond and have lost 100 pounds to date, completely changed the shape of my body, eat almost 1500/1700 calories all with his direction. We have now reached our 2 year of training together and not only do I still love lifting weights, I've maintained the same weight for over a year. A picture is worth a thousand words. As embarrassing as some of these pictures are, you can see the progress not only in my weight but also in my happiness.

    Josiah has been an incredible trainer and Coach. Super inspiring, positive, and helpful, all while doing what we could do to make sure we did things safely while working out. I had a major accident outside of the gym that destroyed my left pelvis and hip and severely injured my shoulder. I went through 3 surgeries and 7 months of PT. Once I started working with Josiah, I went from using a walker and having limited mobility & strength, and evolved into lifting weights that I haven't done for 20 years! I'm now fit enough to play tennis , work out and dance with almost no limitations. Before the program I was also eating poorly and not exercising at all, now the opposite holds true. I've been able to maintain my weight and build muscle. Thank you for making me strong again Josiah!

    Josiah is a great trainer. He caters to your plan depending on what your goals are. During the workouts, he takes his time to make sure you are doing it correctly. I have worked with previous trainers and saw a long time to achieve results. In 6 months, I have lost over 30 lbs! Along with the workouts, he creates a meal plan to help you still eat things you love without all the guilt!

    I feel more strong & confident than I ever have! I feel so healthy & happy in all aspects of life now! People around me tell me every day how I look good but they also say I just radiate with confidence & positivity & that feels so good to hear! I'm much more confident with my nutrition & I actually enjoy eating healthier because you helped me find foods that I love that are also fueling my body! I love that you get to try it out before paying and today was the end of my week of free training and I asked to sign up. The classes are great and I feel comfortable even tho I am not up to the same speed as every one in the class. . The gym had the kindest ppl I have EVER met in a gym and even though I go to an easy class I still feel pumped and excited to get in there. I'm excited to see how my fitness goals go! Definitely recommend trying it out, because I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised!!

What you need is a positive & knowledgeable trainer (Justin is the BEST) to push you that extra bit to fine tune your nutrition and exercise. Justin is amazing, the gym equipment is top notch and the cost is great for what you get, which is someone that cares about your progress. The first month is difficult because it's about breaking bad habits and creating a healthy lifestyle. For me that included eating more often and it took about three weeks before I became hungry every three hours (I'm still in awe that that is true...so much food, you have to feed those muscles and give your body the fuel to train). I have trained with Justin for a couple of months now and the first thing I have noticed is that I sleep better, and the next thing I noticed was less neck and back pain. The weight and tone started becoming more pronounced by month two and now a couple weeks into month three I have a 4 pack almost a 6 pack and noticeable muscle definition developing across my whole body. Best thing is I'm enjoying the process and Justin is the nicest, most knowledgeable trainer I've ever seen and he delivers the results. I've spoken with a lot of his clients on the cardio machines before our session and everyone states the amazing journey he's been able to guide them on.     I've worked out all my adult life and I've had several trainers over the years, some good, some not…read moreso good. I've also done Figure competions so I know a good trainer when I find one. I found Ryan Gallegos a couple years ago and trained with him at Lifetime, he was awesome, then he left. Over the course of the past year I've dealt with a couple health issues. So I now want to get back into shape and reached out to Ryan. I met him at Physiq Fitness where he has been training now for over a year. First, I'm so happy to back with Ryan as he is well educated in fitness and knows what he's doing. I'm also amazed at this wonderful gym!!!! It's big and well equipped with every type of machine or weight. There's also an indoor pickleball court!!!! Membership is extremely reasonable and you can always get on the machines. If you want a gym that provides and EXCELLENT workout, without the hype and expense of Liftime or the humdrum of Planet Fitness, and not jammed like EOS, then this is the gym for you. It has such a family atmosphere that you get one of the cleanest gyms in town, which is not crowded or intimidating for newcomers. I have been around the Phoenix metro Gym scene for the past 30 yrs, but I have to say Physique is very unique in the sense it feels like a very neighborhood gym feel with large gym equipment and setup. Finally, the staff is what makes it more welcoming and I truly enjoy going there.

I also eat really healthy (essentially paleo) and have been maintaining my weight consistently at about 155lbs despite the activity. I started working with Jess about 6 months ago and I can't believe the results! I've gained 10lbs so far (with over 2lbs of fat lost, not intentional for me, so up 12lbs of muscle). The difference that he makes is that he sits down with you and aligns the foods that you need to be eating with your goals. For me this meant increasing fats and modifying carbs and protein from where my daily nutrition was. He's a stickler on nutrition but you can see his passion for making the machine (the body) do what it needs to do to produce results. And here's no doubt, he's getting me results. I'm amazed ad how fast I noticed the change and joke with him about how I'm pissed that I have to buy new clothes. On top of that, I've always hated going to the gym. I'm in pretty decent shape and just don't like the whole experience. I'm finally excited to go work out. The way he explains what we're doing helps me understand the why, which to me is super important and makes me want to come back for more! So for cool points and theatrics, Rumble gets all the stars. However, as an actual gym that pays attention to new comers and individuals this is where I removed a star. This was my first time coming in for a workout and I truly had no idea what to expect, which is fine by me, I like being surprised, however some people may not have liked the experience as a newbie. My friend told me to come meet her, and gave me the heads up to buy hand wraps online to save money. So I did that. When I arrived I checked in. I was told first class I could rent boxing gloves for free. After that it's $5 rental. I asked "how does this work" about the class and workout. I was given a brief explanation and then I requested help with wrapping my new hand wraps. That went fine. Then the teacher called everyone into the back gym area. No greeting or checking in with me that I'm new. We just went to work. Now for me, this was all fine. I workout a lot and I do other group classes elsewhere and have a personal trainer, so I'm very aware how to workout without hurting myself and I pick stuff up pretty easily because I have a foundational base of safely lifting weights and body mechanics. But for someone new to fitness this class would have been a lot to grasp and not injure oneself by doing too much or using poor technique. (Since I was given no instruction). Long story short, Rumble is a cool boxing gym but maybe could use some encouragement to check in with new folks for any questions and give a high level overview, with a brief tutorial on how to safely do the moves (aka punches). I'll definitely go back, as I said it's a good and hard workout. I attended via ClassPass as I do most things, maybe that is why the experience was different? But either way, I've been to other places where they (meaning front desk staff and teachers) are more accommodating to a new person in their gym.
