Good boarding but I do not recommend grooming. My dog was supposed to be groomed and I specifically requested to not have his ears or tail trimmed. We picked him up and one ear was trimmed horribly and nothing else was done. Not even a bath! We were charged $55 for one ear trimmed that was not supposed to even be touched. I had to trim his other ear myself so he would not look weird. read more

*LENGTHY BUT PLEASE READ IF YOU VALUE YOUR ANIMALS IN GREAT FALLS, MT* I typically try to never do this, but this information needs to be out to the public as this business is a danger to your fur babies. If you value your animals, DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO FUN AND LOVING (F AND L) PET RESORT in Great Falls, MT for doggie daycare. After attending this establishment for 3 1/2 years, I recently found out that my dogs were being left alone in the building for 3 to 4 (sometimes even 5) hours at a time daily with no one else present in the building (along with multiple other dogs, cats, and various animals) for at least the past 6 months (if not more). As for my own experience, within the past two months there were a few times when I go to pick up my dogs and the doors were locked, and lights were off inside with my dogs in the building. After calling them I was told they are on the way and then they would show up 10 mins later. This happened on 3 different occasions and since I have been a loyal customer for so long, I realized things happen and to cut them some slack (BIG MISTAKE), then Tuesday last week, the owner of the pet resort called me at work asking me to come pick up my dogs at a different time then my dogs regular pick up because the owner had other engagements. (what is the purpose of doggie daycare if they are calling you while you are at work to let you know they would be unavailable for your dog's pick up). I decided my dogs would not be returning to F and L pet resort. That Thursday, 03/04/2021, I went into F and L pet resort. 3 teenagers (one claiming to be to owner's child,) said it was their first day and no one was here to train. I told the teen that I wanted my dogs shot records (they received their vaccinations there) and a refund for the days that were prepaid for my dogs to attend daycare because they would not be returning. The 3 teenagers (plus a gentleman at the business next door) did not know the passwords to the computers for my refund, nor did they have the knowledge how to get me my dogs shot records. I am still in disbelief that a business was being ran with no experience or training assistance. They called the owner, and the message was relayed that my refund and shot records were going to have be mailed to me since no one knew what they were doing at the present time. I agreed, which may have been a mistake since I already knew this establishment was untrustworthy. On Tuesday, 03/09/2021, my refund or shot records were still not in the mail. I then call the F and L pet resort and ask of the status of my refund and shot records, and the owner told me it was mailed the afternoon (Monday) prior. Today, Wednesday 03/10/2021, my refund and shot records were still not in the mail. I went to the pet resort asking for the status and that I wanted to handle the business of the refund and the retrieval of the shot records then and there to avoid needing to deal with this establishment any longer. The owner then refused my request, shrugging her shoulder saying, "It's in the mail, I don't know what to tell you." I told her if it shows up in the mail and I already received my refund I will not cash the check (something trustworthy since I trusted the with my dogs). The owner said, "too bad" and shrugged her shoulders again. I then said, "Got it." And walked out and came home. I felt all of individuals who value their dogs and animals should NOT TAKE THEIR ANIMALS TO FUN AND LOVING (F AND L) Pet Resort in Great Falls, MT, as their fraudulent and misleading behaviors towards customers (and their fur babies leaving them alone for multiple hours) within their establishment may cause harm to your animals as the human presence you pay for will not be given to your animals. What If there is a break in or a fire and no one is there? At least when they are at home (doing the same thing they are going to do at F and L pet resort anyway) you can keep their environment safe within their own comfort zone. I feel better now that I have said something to the public...AS I WAIT FOR MY REFUND AND DOG'S SHOT RECORDS IN THE MAIL (which I do not expect to show). read more

I want to give a 0 star. I am so sad. On Tuesday 6/13 my dog got groomed and his poodle feet (ALL 4 including inbetween toes too) got all scratched/irritated/bleeding. I totally understand if there is/are one or two scratches. It got worse on the next day I called the place and the lady asked me to bring him to shop and assured me that he was NOT bleeding when he was at the shop. I asked if she can give me # so that I can send photos and I txted 20 photos no answer. I just can't believe what has happened to my furry baby. I just was speechless. I have never experienced this kinda of low job while I have my dog for 5 years. Very disappointed. I paid $70 and now I have to take him to the VET. Just look at the photos. read more

We have taken both of our dogs here 4+ times now. The staff are always very friendly during the drop off. The environment is very clean and welcoming. The outdoor area for the dogs is well manicured as well. When we have picked up our dogs they were very happy and well behaved (which is surprising as one of our dogs is VERY high energy). We used their grooming services the last time the dogs were there and I was very impressed as well. The prices are very fair, and I like the fact that they give your dogs one on one attention. We arrived once when they were just bringing our dogs back in from outside, and the staff member seemed very attentive to my dog. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. read more

It's hard to rate a pet resort, because you don't really know what goes on when you're not there, but my dog survived his week long stay here. They have convenient hours, including an hour on Sunday as well as reaonable rates. They were very busy when I dropped off and picked up, so that is usually a good sign! read more

We've always taken our dogs here. Sometimes they've stayed a couple days, some as much as two weeks. The dogs have seemed to enjoy being there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about animals. I trust them to take good care of our furry family members. Yes, we will take them to F&L again when the need arises. read more

Not impressed! Our dog has been there a few times and each time I've been increasingly less impressed! Let me preface this by saying our dog is not a little angel by any means, he's big, he pulls on his leash sometimes, and barks whenever there are other dogs barking, we get it, he can be kind of frustrating at times, but if you are going to work with animals, you should love them all, even their flaws! Our previous boarding facility in another town never had problems and he always came home happy. With that said, I'll continue my review. The first stay seemed to go alright, our dog came home very tired, but seemed to be alright, and everyone we dealt with was pleasant and polite. The second time upon pick up, there were some snarky comments made about his leash pulling, and it kind of irritated me, but ok, like I said, I get that it can be frustrating. He also didn't have his collar on which I thought was pretty odd. Then, I hesitated to take him back this weekend, but I decided I was overreacting and he would be fine. I should have known when we dropped him off that I should have walked out the door. We walked in and were greeted by 4 people, the lady who seemed to be in charge spoke first with a pleasant greeting, followed by a snarky male teenager stating "we were just talking about him", so thinking everyone is joking around I joked "oh great, that can't be good", to which I received awkward glances between each person and no response. Super uncomfortable! Then, upon pickup, my husband went in and said he was there to pick up our dog Oscar, to which the same male teen responded with an under the breath "oh good, Oscar the turd". Once he realized my husband heard him he tried to cover himself, "well I mean, he's not really that bad of a dog. He just pulls on his leash and barks at the other dogs." Completely uncalled for, you kiddo should not be working with people, and I definitely don't want you near any pet I ever own, you clearly lack compassion and professionalism!! My husband went back to get our dog, and there was diarrhea in his kennel. I will give the benefit of the doubt, hoping it had just happened, so they didn't have time to know, especially since we picked him up a day early. My husband brought him out to the car and noticed he was limping, and his chin was bloody/bleeding, I feel that those are two very noticeable things that we should have been made aware of. Since getting him home, he has shown signs of continuing diarrhea, dehydration, has continued to limp quite drastically, and has been quite lethargic. Lethargic to the point of not being able to stand without help, continuing to lay to drink water, not even trying to play with his toys, and not eating. These things don't just happen in an instance, he had to have been showing some of these symptoms and I as a pet parent deserve to know EVERYTHING that goes on. I took our dog through obedience classes there and was highly impressed. The day came when we needed to board our 2 dogs and our cat and my enthusiasm turned to disappointment. We were scheduled on a morning flight, I made all arrangements the day before. When we arrived with the animals the next morning we found locked doors and no one there to answer. We pounded and called without result. Even walked down to the store....nothing. We were about to lose $1000.- in flight tickets as well as be delayed for a wedding. Finally my husband walked through the back yard and found someone who knew nothing of our animals being boarded ! We put them in their kennels and left, barely making our flight. Upon returning I found both dogs had lost quite a bit of weight.....so needless to say that was it for me. I payed my bill and left never to return. Kinda sad cause I liked the place ! read more

Big Fat Zero! After patronizing The Original F&L Pet Resort for 24 years, I will not be back. 1st Strike: One of my 3 dogs came home with a bad bite under her right eye, another with a bite on her side, and the third had blood stains on her face. I called and was told by Trisha that the kennel techs hadn't reported anything and she's look into it. 2nd Strike: They lost my kennel may and a sheet I brought and when went back five days later to see if the mat they found was mine, I had to re-report my dogs injuries to the groomer who said she'd let the new owner, Jennifer, know and have her call me. Jennifer did call me, left me a message of "what's going on". Really? I have to report yet again, my dogs injuries? I should have been informed upon picking my dogs up! 3rd Strike: I asked what my bill would be when I made my reservation in person, and was told it would be $142.03 only to show up before 10 am on the day I said I would be, and told my bill was $239. and change. I'm so sad the former owner, Nancy, has passed away, but it's my queue too, to move on. All I can say is Customer Beware! read more

I have used F&L Pet Resort for years. It is the only place we board our dogs. I had 2 large breeds that we used to board when we went on trips, and both dogs did just fine here. We now have a small breed puppy and she attends "Day Care" at F&L. Our dog is timid, but she LOVES the people at F&L so much that she is excited to go in every morning. She even did well when we boarded her over night. The place is spotless, inside and out, and that really appeals to me, plus the staff is made up of animal lovers of the highest degree. The rates are reasonable, the staff is kind but no nonsense, and none of my dogs has shown any sign of problems. read more
