They came and replaced a portion of our fence that had blown over and two gates in another area (one double door and one single door gate). It came out so good, great quality and very competitive pricing. They listened to what we wanted and did exactly that. Showed up when they said they would and gave us a realistic timeframe for completion. Seems like a family owned business which was even better in our opinion. Our side fence was damaged due to the recent strong winds & storm last January 2023. We finally got several estimates & this particular fence company came out with exact measurements & with the best estimates. We didn't go with the lowest or the highest. Be patient in getting your estimates from Jose. He's a very busy man. Bc Jose was thorough with that we knew in the back of our minds whom we wanted to go with. We were told he was already scheduled 2-3 weeks out so it was fine with us. We then were later informed he had a cancellation for this Friday & we were sold. Yasss!!! My wife reminded me of the current Mercury in Retrograde so even though we were told 830-11 they didn't come out closer to 1245. It was fine bc the final result looked amazing. F&S was one of the businesses that responded to my request for a quote. Jose came out a day later and looked over the proposed project. We talked about the scope and what we needed to be done. He was quick and efficient. A day later, I got a quote. They were reasonable in price, and we decided to go with them. The crew showed up on the installation date on time. One caveat is they give a time slot of 3 hours. So we were promised the crew would show up from 8:30 am-11:00 am. They showed up at exactly 11, so keep that in mind if you are going to do business with them. We had a misunderstanding during the quote, and I was under the impression that they were going to use screws instead of nails. We discussed screws vs. nails during our quote. The change required the installers to contact Jose and get a revised quote which increased our overall quote, but was reasonable. So make sure you are clear on what you expect and what they will provide. They were efficient in removing the old fence and started the work on a new one pretty fast. This company is great! Five star work. We tasked this company with 124 feet of fencing that was two 62 foot perpendicular segments that blew down during the big wind storms. The quote was painless and the rep friendly. Once we received the quote back with in a business day or two we agreed on a start date. We were given a window of 8:30-11 on the selected date. Three skilled workers arrived at 10:40 and after asking me a couple of general questions got right to work. With in a couple hours they had the old fence out and the new posts in, including all property corner posts that met with other neighbors fences, Once back from lunch they ran the runners and boards. By 4p my fence was complete and they were cleaning up. Only suffered one casualty in my planter bed and honestly we figured if any plant would go, it would have been that one, so, no big deal. I wish Yelp did half stars. The only reason they are not getting 5 stars is the plant mentioned above, and we didn't get a confirmation/ reminder call prior. We couldn't wait for this day to come so we knew and remembered, but with the two week lead time between quote and start date a reminder call would be nice for some people, possibly with memory issues or very busy schedules. I want to give this company more than 5 stars! We shopped around in the beginning to get a quote for a gate for our side yard. We have a 16 foot side yard that needed fencing. We get the northerly wind and needed something that would withstand the elements. Our original gate was all wood and we wanted metal posts and metal bars to support the wood. The prices we were quoted was all over the ball park! We liked F&S the best because they were great at responding back and other companies were too laid back or busy. Well, I think we made the best choice because our gate is super sturdy and it'll withstand any storm in the future! Fast forward, we had a great amount of damage to our fencing due to the high winds and rain we have had in NorCal. We called F&S for a quote. We agreed after talking it over with our neighbors. We were quite lucky because although everyone else had a shortage on redwood fencing, F&S had no problem getting us the redwood fence board. Well, they gave us the best fence in the neighborhood with metal posts! If you want a fence that will last, always go with metal posts. It will withstand better than a wood post. Our fencing was damaged during the wind storm in February of this year. We knew the price for wood increased so we weren't in any rush to get if fixed. I put an ad out on Yelp in mid May & someone from F&S Fencing called me & scheduled to come out for an estimate that week. He came out, took some measurements, in less than a week we received an email with the estimate. It said they can start in 2-3 weeks & would take 1 day to finish. We accepted & signed the estimate, installation date was set for 2 weeks out. About 3 days later we received an email confirming the crew I'll arrive between 8:30-11:00am. On install day, a crew of 3 arrived around 10:30am, completed the work at 5:30pm & hauled away our old fencing. The gates have never opened and closed properly, due to the interaction of the contracting and expanding wood. We went with F&S as (1) they came to our home, and promptly returned a quote (only two out of seven companies we contacted bothered to get back with us), (2) gave us a competitive price (including saving $$$ by repainting and reusing the existing metal gates) and (3) the results are impressive. I was able to setup an estimate appointment quickly which was awesome and they were here right in time. However after my appointment on a Saturday, its a week later and still no quote. I attempted to contact via yelp for 3 days (i saw messages were read) to get an update. I ended up calling the office to still given the "we'll get back to you" ordeal. I was looking forward to business and wish i could have gotten a quote. With the lack of communication i wouldn't consider business as i would be afraid to experience an issue with fencing and left hanging looking for help. read more

Don't bother with this company if you don't want to be rudely ghosted! We got an initial quote from them, then after that it was like pulling teeth to get in touch with them again to add a door to the quote. My partner spoke with Victor on the phone about this, who said he would send us an updated written quote, and then we were never able to get in touch with them again. We made every possible effort. We repeatedly tried calling and texting multiple phone numbers as well as sent emails, and no one ever responded. This was over the course of multiple weeks so they couldn't have just been on vacation or something. Just completely and utterly ghosted. We were never rude to them or asked for anything at all out of the ordinary. If they got too busy or something, all it would've taken was a 1-sentence "sorry we can't do the job" text message, but no they apparently don't have the common decency for that. I don't know how they can stay in business treating their would-be customers like this. You can see I'm not the first to have this issue with them. Please don't waste your time and just look elsewhere for your fencing needs. read more
