I was approached in Smith's parking lot to fix a few small dent?scratches on my auto. Was quoted $1,100.00 and I counted with $900.00. She agreed to price and followed me to my house. Then said she could also do the door handles and surrounding plastic and would do a test case which she did very quickly (maybe 15 minutes) which included taping. Then was told it would be $200 per each of the 4 door handles. Was stuck as she had already done one door handle. So I agreed as felt I had no choice. So now $1,700.00 Then she and son had to get the paint and when got back said they needed to charge for clearcoat. I was surprised as figured when you paint a car you know you need to put on a clear coat. I asked what price and she said would let me know when done. To my surprise the cost came to $2,800.00 So !,!00 for a few ounces of clear coat. Be careful with F and S Mobile auto body!!!!!!!! Also just walked out and there are 3 red paint stains on my driveway and spots. One of stains ran down driveway about 12 feet. Took bleach and 45 minutes on hand and knees with scrub brush to get it clean. Not very comfortable for 78 year old in sun and 84 degrees. read more

I was approached in a Kohl's parking lot by a woman wanting to show me how she could clean up my headlights. Since I was busy trying to unload my mobility scooter, I agreed. My friend said to come take a look. I will admit the one headlight looked good. She mentioned she would clean the other headlight and could improve a one inch strip on the back where I had lost the clear coat as well as clean the running lights for $199. OK. My car is 20 years old and I live on social security so promptly declined. She did leave me with a card from F&S Mobile Auto Body Repair as she continued to shout lower prices from her car. REALLY?? I guess there is probably another sucker who has two clean headlights!! After reading several reviews from the owner of this business I would suggest that you have someone impersonating your business so beware. My dad was approached in the parking lot regarding a dent in his roof. They went back and forth on the price and my dad agreed to $400. In my dad's mind, he had a $500 deductible to get it repaired so this was less. When it was time to pay, the total was $2400. My dad was caught off guard and struggled to even write the check. I asked for a written invoice to turn into insurance since his deductible is only $500- I got fast talk and excuses 1. I was told there would be multiple deductibles for the work so I shouldn't turn it in 2. I would have to pay sales tax if he gave me an invoice 3. He called me after leaving and said I will only get the invoice after the check clears. My dad later felt horrible that he had been scammed. He sat for hours stressing over how he was going to live this next month. He didn't understand why it was $2.400- he kept going over it in his mind and mumbling, shaking his head. I asked him "did the guy ask you if you wanted it painted", he said "yes- he dug in his truck and took out spray paint and painted it. " When I talked to Vince, he said the painting was extra and the most expensive part. I am sure it never crossed my dad's mind that was extra. He understood "fixed" to be the whole fix, not a partial fix or add-on pricing. Go to a shop for this kind of work- don't get scammed. A reputable business will give written estimates so you know what you are buying and they don't have an issue taking the check in the business name or giving an invoice upon payment. My dad accurately called this one a "bait and switch". Watch out, this business preys on those with diminished mental reasoning "like the elderly"- based on the reviews, this is not the first time. The owner saw my wife driving my Ram 3500 at the local parking lot, noticed the gash on the side and gave her his contact info. I called Fortino (the owner) and he agreed to come out for a quote. The price was somewhat expensive, but about what I would expect from a brick-and-mortar body shop and you can't beat the convenience of a mobile service coming to your location. Fortino came out the same day I called and, after agreeing on an estimate, he was able to complete the work then and there. Overall, the repair took about 2 hours and afterwards the fender with the gash looked like new (see before and after pictures). Excellent work!! Fortino is a true bodywork artisan and professional. I was approached in a parking lot by 2 young men. They were talking about how they would fix the dents in my car and my bumper for $295 and get it done in less than an hours. I was on my way to work and honestly had so many things to do and needed to make a few more stops. They were taking up my time but I thought they were maybe 2 guys that had a start up business and I did want to repair my car. They seemed like reasonable, kind, intelligent people. I have a car insurance claim for the damage and I need an invoice in order to bill insurance but they said they won't write an invoice because it will make it more expensive. They were pressuring me and saying that they only have the supplies today and will need to increase the price later and that they don't know if they will have the right supplies on another day. I was considering it because I always want to see the best in people and I did want to fix the body work on my car. I needed some time to think and then I let them know I would not be able to do it. He told me that he already ordered the paint and asked if I can reimburse him for $231. I said no, also it is not possible to buy or order paint in less than 5 minutes.....where was this paint coming from? Regardless when I said I would not reimburse him---all the true colors came out. He tried to guilt trip me by saying I broke my word and then threatened me by saying they would blacklist me from all the body shops in the area with my VIN number that they claimed to have. Then they continued with other insults and saying ridiculous things about how no one will want to work on my car. So I want to blast this out that NO YOU WILL NOT BLACKMAIL ME OR ANYONE ELSE. He was available to do the job the same day. the job consisted of a deep gash in my door with some rust as well as some some deep scratches from getting too close to a pole while parking on the bumper on the other side. Bottom line he repaired my truck which had 4,000 $ worth of damage and my wife's car which had probably 2,000$ worth for 2800$. Be careful of F&S mobile Auto Body. Their guy approached me with 2 other guys in Costco parking lot. I had put a dent in the front right fender on my Corolla. This guy told me he could pull the dent out and it would look 95% better for $200. I should have known better but agreed and he worked on it for about 15 minutes. The bent dent was almost gone but now there were lots of small dents and ripples. It sure doesn't look 95% better but he claimed it did so I felt obligated to pay him. I felt nervous being alone. I am still going to have to get the fender replaced for it to look right. Then the price was going to be $700 for a proper repair. Afterwards I felt foolish and taken. Lives in Nevada but cruises Costco in Rancho Mirage California looking for damaged autos. Approaches Sr Citizens. Says Lifetime Warranty but when a repair had the same crack after only 600 miles he claims it was a different crack and refused the lifetime warranty. Used a sander on the damage area before saying we had to pay for the supplies but wouldn't give us a quote. First said quote is half of original bill. $800!! we protested as he said cost of supplies only! When pressed for a real quote he said $500.
