The one thing that I also think is important to add is that because this gym is very crowded, every time I come here parking is a challenge. I stopped trying to come to the Saturday morning classes because parking is so difficult. At this point, I have rejoined the YMCA for everything else (classes and equipment) but I appreciate that this gym has a sauna and massage chairs. I appreciate the YMCA for its cleanliness. The coach had a tough exterior, but she was very kind and gave great verbal and visual cues throughout class. I could quickly tell that this is a supportive community and I felt safe trying something new, even though I'm definitely not a boxing natural! I really enjoyed meeting so many kind new people who helped me during my class and I look forward to trying more classes here. The studio is located in the chapel hills mall and it has a sparring area, class area and an entire gym. We went by over the holidays to use the pool and had a good experience. The location is clean, and I like how so many toiletries (and towels) are included to make the experience as streamlined as possible - I used to belong to a gym like this back in Texas and felt so spoiled. My SIL raves about their aqua aerobics classes but my schedule did not allow me to partake. We were able to take my FIL in to use the heated pool for flexibility exercises, and we're hoping to get him in more regularly to help with mobility. My husband and I also enjoyed the use of the pools, as well as the hot tub, shower, sauna and steam room - and everywhere was so clean and well maintained. The locker room amenities are top notch, with everything you could need during your visit. This looks like a great location for young families, with a fun indoor water park area and outdoor slides for the summer. I wish I had more time here to take advantage of classes and equipment to get in a full workout, but our limited time here was well spent. Their membership prices definitely make this a splurge, but the convenience of the locker room amenities making coming here feel like a treat, which can help with sticking to a regular habit of coming! Hopefully next time we can linger longer.
