Got my annual membership here about 2 months ago now. Best decision of my life so far lol. I've tried so many workout classes, different gyms, different workout styles, and this has been the one that's worked for me. For the first time I've been enjoying ACTUALLY going out of my way to workout. I got the annual membership, and it came with a free Lionband Heart. It's basically a band you put around about under your sternum, and it automatically detects your heart rate when you step into the gym. It's so fun since you get to have that competitive feeling of wanting to push yourself harder to beat other people's heart rate. The coaches are GREAT. Love coming to Coach Patrick, Coach Rachael, Coach Melissa, and Coach Dionne's classes. The people and coaches are VERY nice, this is ACTUALLY the first gym I've gone where they ACTUALLY practice a "No judgement zone". They accomodate people with a pretty busy schedules since each workout is 45 mins long and it targets about 600+ calories to burn every class. Better than staying 2 hours at a gym where you don't really know what you're doing. This place practices your form in weights, even with cardio exercises. They also provide accomodations if you need to switch your workout with something easier, etc. Really love this place :)

Hands down one of the best gyms I've ever been to! I started going to F45 San Bruno the very first day they opened. I was skeptical on trying out the gym at first because I was alone, I did not know anyone, and I didn't know much about working out! But the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with smiling faces and such good vibes! Like I have never met these people before in my life but I felt like I belong in there. After that first workout, I became one of their consistent members ever since. I have brought in multiple friends to a few classes and guess what? ALL of them signed up as members! Fast forward to a few months later, COVID hit and the gym had to close down. F45 San Bruno hosted Live Sessions via Zoom and the coaches always go above and beyond to make sure everyone is still giving their best efforts regardless of not being able to coach in person. Coaches have extensive training knowledge. If you're a beginner, they will guide you and educate you about whatever you want to learn. If you're fitness level is advanced, best believe they will constantly test your physical and mental limits! Members have different fitness levels and wide age range. Don't ever think that you're too old, too young, or too inexperienced for this gym because they will work with you and you WILL level up. I walked in not knowing anyone in this gym but I have gained so many good friends with good heart and strong mindset. One of the best decisions ever!

Barry's Burlingame was one of the worst first-time gym experiences I've had. (And that's saying…read moresomething since I recently tried 7 gyms in the Burlingame/ San Mateo / Millbrea areas). I showed up 5 minutes early and instead of focusing on onboarding or safety, the staff prioritized forcing me to create a marketing account and hand over my email before class. Nobody asked about **my knee pain** or offered workout modifications like Basecamp or Burlingame Fitness did. I was thrown into a dark room mid-class with no idea where my station was, what weights to use, or even how to start(!) the treadmill, while the oversized class made it impossible for the instructor to notice I was struggling. I had to stop multiple times just to change weights and restart. Change and restart. In the end, I lost the class credit and time. The whole experience felt like corporate lead-generation and profit mattered far more at Barry's than the safety and success of new members.

The workouts are varied and challenging. Each day of the week is dedicated to a different part of the body (legs, upper body, core, etc.). The coaches are motivating and great at both correcting form and offering variations for moves that may be difficult for people with knee or other issues. Shout out to Coach Euni! Her classes are always the most intense and leave me feeling spent in the best possible way! The front desk staff are incredibly friendly and make an effort to learn your name so they can greet everyone personally. Great gym! Highly recommend!!

They…read morealso do a monthly membership for all others at $40 a month, which isn't too bad considering what they offer. For a company gym, I was pleasantly surprised at how much this place had. For starters, they have an extensive list of classes that happen before, during and after work hours. Classes range from yoga, spin, zumba, abs, cardio circuits, etc. They are all free and you just need to walk in/get a number. There's also a basketball court where you can play basketball (duh), badminton, indoor soccer and more. Sometimes the court is closed off for classes though, so just gotta check the schedule. Like any other gym, they have a crap ton of cardio equipment. Treadmills, ellipticals, stairmaster, bikes... you name it. You can get your cardio in at almost any given time cause there's just so many to use. As for the weights area, it's pretty nice, but leaves some to be desired. There is a double squat rack setup that forces people to look at each other. Kinda awk. At least they have a powerlifting platform with bumper plates! The only problem with that is, as of recent, there is a sign on the platform stating that they might remove it due to noise complaints. Seriously? People complain about grunting and loud noises at a gym? -_- Anyways, the equipment are very well kept and people tend to actually rack the weights in the right place, which makes everything easily accessible. There are a bunch of trainers here who all know their stuff. They get a little anal about a few things though... One they don't allow the use of excessive chalk because it gets all over the floor. They asked me to clean up chalk on the ground before even though it wasn't mine. wtf? Another thing is that they don't allow recording in the gym. I don't get why. I saw a bunch of people recording and when I did it, they asked me to stop cause it's not allowed. Idk. Overall, pretty cool gym for employees. Can't wait for the new spot to open up on campus though.
