The gym requires you to leave your bags in the locker room, normally I carry around some equipment in my bag to help with my workouts but I feel, you don't have to worry about not finding what you need. People seemed respectful of the gym and put things back where they belong. Not sure if it's always like this but I went on thanksgiving day. We used our family's guest pass to get in. We asked about day passes and they said $10/visit. Side notes: there was a children's play area for people who needs a babysitter while they get active. Saw multiple bathing suit dryers in the women's locker room, ample dressing stalls/bathrooms, showers, etc and super clean!

poor experience with personal training staff and with membership services…read more gym equipment was ok and i enjoyed coming to the location for several months. personal trainer was ok when they showed up. had a few sessions, but then however they forgot our appointment time three times and had to cancel our sessions. later when i tried to cancel my membership all of the cancellation process is via email and is separate from the local gym making the cancellation process unnecessarily complicated. they also want to charge a hefty exit fee. i show up at the gym to speak with staff and the manager and person in charge of the personal trainer section are not in during normal working hours. beyond them, there is no one at the gym to help me process the refunds and/or cancellation process. buyer beware

The planet fitness off Holland road in Virginia Beach is clean, has plenty of machines and is located in a great location if your running errands and trying to get a workout accomplished. The gym where the card was forgotten was far from my home(Tikkurila Dixi, Finland). They could not send a card to me or to my nearest gym. I ended up canceling my membership. They told me that cancellation needed 2 months noticed and charged me for 2 months which I did not even attend because they had my card. It might be one of the cheapest gyms but their services are very low quality and not worth the price. Peoples dignity and respect is key. I signed up with Anytime in 2015 and I love the fact you can go to any Anytime after a few months…read moreof being a member. The fact that every Anytime, to me, is pretty cool. Each Anytime has its little quirks and they're all different sizes. This is the first one I started going to and it's pretty small so I would only recommend going late during the day (after 7) or late at night (after 10). They have every weight and machine needed to work out each part of your body but it's just really small compared to the others. The only thing I don't really enjoy with Anytime is paying $33/month, while there's other gym's that offer more or just about the same for much less. But that's on me because I didn't do my research before choosing my gym. The only times I am at the gym are late at night so I do not see any staff members. But all the other members seem to have a very well mannered logic to them. No one tries to hog machines and everyone wipes down their equipment when done from what I've noticed. So the environment is pretty chill.

She invited me to drop in for a class to learn the latest and most popular line dances! She knows I love to dance, hence that's how we met... at ODU :) say less girl, I am there!! I visited the site a few weeks ago (on a Saturday) and from the looks of the parking lot, I thought it would be crowded inside. Boy was I wrong, the place is awesome inside! It was not crowded at all. The women's locker room was tidy and smelled fresh. Once I arrived upstairs to the dance room, I did notice workout (machines) equipment as well as free weights. Something for everyone is here! The dance class lasted for about 75 minutes, and it was a total workout! Beginner friendly and Amy makes everyone feel super comfortable and is willing to repeat steps over and over and over :) I didn't think I would work up a sweat doing line dancing, but it was a sweaty ordeal indeed - I loved it! I highly recommend you check out this location. I traveled from Suffolk, therefore it's definitely a hike, but on this day I was planning to be in the area, so it made sense to drop in. You cannot beat this waterfront property. Not a member, like me, just pay a drop in fee and get your body moving :) Have fun and enjoy life :)
