My buddy and I used this facility for about 2 weeks. Hayley and her partner which run the facility are very friendly and helpful. The place is kept really clean and the weights are always put back to their original spot, if not by the visitors, than most def by Hayley and her coworker. They def know their clients seeing as they greeted em by name and had conversations with them upon entering the small gym. Pricey but def worth it. If you're looking for a gym that does not get packed and is 100% spotless, this is it. P.S. My buddy and I are still sorry for the dirt we left on the deadlift platform.

The gym requires you to leave your bags in the locker room, normally I carry around some equipment in my bag to help with my workouts but I feel, you don't have to worry about not finding what you need. People seemed respectful of the gym and put things back where they belong. Not sure if it's always like this but I went on thanksgiving day. We used our family's guest pass to get in. We asked about day passes and they said $10/visit. Side notes: there was a children's play area for people who needs a babysitter while they get active. Saw multiple bathing suit dryers in the women's locker room, ample dressing stalls/bathrooms, showers, etc and super clean!

A little boy who was bigger than my daughter was allowed to tell her where to go and try to direct her against her will. The employee present did not correct the situation or ensure my child felt safe. As a parent, that was extremely unsettling. Staff should be paying attention and stepping in when one child is trying to control or push another child around. Allowing that kind of situation to continue without intervention creates an unsafe environment. On top of that, after I cancelled my subscription and informed them that I was cancelling, they still charged me for an additional month. Being billed after cancelling is unacceptable. Between the unsafe situation involving my child and being charged after cancelling, I cannot recommend this business. Parents should be cautious.

With my daughter's membership, we both were able to accompany her for just $10pp. At first glance, this gym was very spacious and very well maintained. It had a huge, open area with treadmills, ellipticals and stair masters then other areas that included free weights, weight machines and bikes, among other equipment. I was very impressed by the swimming pool and the large hot tub as well. We started on the treadmills as a warm up then worked our way to the upper body machines. I noticed they had cleaning wipes conveniently located, to wipe down the machines when we were done which was a plus. As we were leaving, I noticed the Onelife Cinema and asked the lady at the front desk about how it works. She mentioned that they show a different movie every day (the movie is on repeat) but the room includes treadmills and workout equipment for you to workout and watch a movie at the same time. What a concept!!! I haven't decided if I am going to join yet but this gym is absolutely beautiful, spacious and very well ventilated. The staff is also great and I would highly recommend stopping in if you are interested in joining a gym.

Since my boyfriend is a Black Card Member, I am able to accompany him as a guest anytime he goes so once I signed a few waivers and took a picture, we were good to go. Very easy process. The gym wasn't crowded at all and I loved how clean and ventilated it was. The majority of the stationary exercise machines were available so once I cleaned off a treadmill, I immediately hopped on and started my work out. Planet Fitness has two sets of 12 large TV screens broadcasting different shows that you are able to access when on a stationary machine, which I thought was convenient, but I just listened to my music as I walked. The staff was extremely friendly and each workout area includes a generous amount of space for members to work out without feeling overly crowded. The cleaning stations are located sporadically around the gym but allow for easy access for people to wipe off the machines before and after use. For it being my first time at a Planet Fitness, I was overall very impressed and will be returning as soon as I can.

And if you are a morning workout person, the gym will be crowded with active mil folks getting preference especially during PRT events. All in all the gym is clean, staffed by friendly helpful folks and well equipped. No nonsense gym, not a place to get a date, so where only gear to work out in and if you have to walk from the bowling alley to park, that is part of the workout. Four stars due to not open 24/7.

I don't live locally but visit family frequently enough to want a go-to studio in Virginia Beach. I found 3 on yelp - none of which had any reviews. Chose Pilates Fitness Club solely based on the website: it was really easy to find the schedule and the class options are super convenient. Plus a prominently featured intro deal for new clients: 5 classes for $25. Worth it? Yes. I haven't tried the other studio to compare, but I'm fairly positive I made the right choice. Not intimidating at all (the other studio pretty much required you to call in advance if you were a brand new student) and awesome instructor (Chris) - whether there are 2 students or 12, he really focuses on making sure you're doing the movements correctly and makes the 50 minutes of class fly by. Proximity to the oceanfront is an added bonus.

The instructors were very good and took you through the movements and made the appropriate adjustments. They made the class fun and approachable even for beginners like me. They had a $25 for 5 classes for first time customers deal so you really don't have an excuse not to give them a try. Be warn though because you'll likely come back often. The classes are generally scheduled every hour and can be easily booked through the website. On the last day, I brought my 60 year old mother to class and Christopher took his time to work with her on the various Pilates positions. She has not even heard of Pilates and she had a great workout. This is on my to go list when I am in the area.
