We have loved Fabio's - the pizza is great. Exactly what you want- consistent, solid pizza. We also love their meatball sub, their cheesesteak, and their salads. But more importantly, they have excellent customer service. DoorDash didn't drop off our order TWICE over two hours, then finally one part of our order was delivered but not the entire order. Fabio's catered my son's rehearsal dinner and they were, from start to finish, absolutely wonderful. We came in March for a tasting and the food was fantastic. Though it looks like a pizza place from the outside, we enjoyed some of the best Italian food we've ever had. From the homemade salad dressings, eggplant parmesan, ravioli in pesto cream sauce, lasagna, and the amazing pasta in pink sauce to the homemade cannoli at the end, we were delighted and impressed. Mike was wonderful to work with and made everything easy, even though we were working from three hours away. We ordered two large pies - the White Pie and the Veggie Lovers pie - both were really delicious and properly loaded with toppings. The white sauce was especially good and our favorite. But let me tell you about the garlic knots - they were truly an experience - SOLIDLY loaded with garlic and butter, soft on the inside and crispy in all the right places. The two people that accompanied me here would agree that it's a pretty decent slice of pizza. We couldn't beat the lunch prices: 2 slices, a salad and a drink for only $10 I got the cheese with extra cheese and the Italian sausage with onions... they put an obnoxiously large amount of onions on this pizza too much for me..: I did enjoy the cheese pizza though, just add a little more sauce and it'd be great. The salad also had a large amount of toppings on top, I heard from some people around me that you could use your phone to choose your toppings; the kiosk doesn't have that option. Update 8:11pm 10/31 Sal from Fabio's called me immediately after this review to make up for the mishap below, so changing my 1 star to 5 stars. They remade the order w his team delivering the pizza and it looks fabulous (just like previous times)... check the new pics w perfect undercarriage too... thanks Sal and the rest of the Fabio's team! Waited over an hour for a cold burnt pie. The undercarriage was almost raw too. Waited in parking lot 50min longer than the email said to pick up. I ordered online including 20% tip because they usually do a perfect well done pie. I called twice while I was waiting in the parking lot but they kept telling me 10min more. I understand it was busy on Halloween, but when it finally arrived, it wasn't even hot? It's like they cooked it w a lighter? I was hungry as heck too. I used to love Fabio's.. this one was very bad.. as I said, they burnt the top and the undercarriage was rare. It's like they microwaved it, let it sit 30min, then used some kind of flame to burn the top. it was barely warm and I live 0.5mi away (8 min drive), so it couldn't have cooled in that time. Again, I have picked up from here before, so I know it used to be good. It can be hard to find great or even good pizza in Charlottesville. Fabio's is one of the better choices. The food is reliably good and, despite the same significant price increases seen everywhere else, prices remain reasonable. There are lots of typical Italian choices. Since we last visited--before COVID--the logistics of choosing and ordering have changed. Ordering is now fully automated using touch screens. When it works, it is relatively easy, although, because there are so many choices, it can be a challenge figuring out where to find your item. Staff hangs out to help with ordering if needed. Once the order is placed, if you eat inside, staff brings the food to your table. The only annoying thing about the new format is all drinks come in bottles and there is no way to get ice, if like me, nothing is ever cold enough. All in all, a solid choice for a quick, good, satisfying meal. read more

Getting quality New York style pizza in the South can be tricky. As an avid lover of the pizza styles of the Northeast, I've had more slices with doughy crust and insipid cheese than I care to admit. When a friend recommended Fabio's for quality NY style pies, I had to check it out. I ordered a 14" pizza with two toppings, which ran me $20 and thus a little pricey. Still, the pie was worth it. I specified the crust to be well done and Fabio's delivered. The crust's crackly exterior gave way to a chewy and moist crumb. The crust possessed enough sturdiness to support the ample cheese and toppings. The cheese blend itself had good browning and flavor, but was perhaps applied a touch too generously. The sauce tasted serviceable; I wish it had more tang but the flavor did not detract from the experience. While Fabio's is a bit pricey, it serves the most reasonable facsimile to true New York pizza I've had in Charlottesville. It's subsequently worth a try if you're a displaced Northeasterner like me or simply want to try a good example of this kind of pie. read more

This is a casual pizza and sub place that offers indoor as well as outdoor seating. They have a small parking lot. I didn't have much time to grab a sandwich so I stopped in because the premium national chains that I usually go to were not in proximity. I found the sub to be roughly equivalent to what I would have received at a premium national chain however it was priced approximately 30% higher at Fabio's. There was nothing special about the taste or size or amount of meat to justify this higher price. Thus, I did not find Fabio's to be a good value. I've not tried any but you may find a better experience with other menu items. read more

The crust was not too thin and the outer edge was brushed with something, probably garlic butter, to keep it from being too dry. I really liked the sauce and the ingredients seemed fresh. I use the slice app to order and get 10% off- always tip on the full amount though- their employees are top notch and hard working. Their pandemic transition has been great. I love the drive thru pick up. People have a lot of opinions about pizza. Cville has a lot of good pizza in my opinion. The type of pizza that Fabio's specializes in may not be for everyone but for this of us who love it- it can't be beat. We eat regularly (once a week) at Fabio's- usually ordering a variety of pizza and the steak and cheese. Recently I ordered some of the desserts. They are unreal! The lemon and chocolate cake were sweet and light without being cloying. The kids love the Nutella dough things. And I have to order a cannoli now.
