Really great service and appreciate how kind everyone was. Absolutely amazing pizza. I was surprised by the pine nuts on this one but it totally worked! Am very excited to have leftovers.

This place is the real deal for authenticate Italian. My wife and I tried their pizza (amazing). We got it to go and went across the street to the Starr Hill brewery to eat. The crust on this Neapolitan style pizza is simply the best around. There are others that are close, but this is by far our favorite place to get pizza. We also got fresh pasta and sauce to go, which again was excellent. All are little pricey, but well worth it for treating yourself on the weekend. You can't take it with you ;-) Definitely revisiting this place in the future..................

While staying in the area for work, I stopped in for a very late lunch (just a sandwich), not knowing this was not only a restaurant (with pizza, pasta, and sandwiches to take out), but also a little "take & bake" and Italian grocery store. After ordering my sandwich, I saw many things that caught my eye, on shelves and in their freezer, so I ended up picking up several more items to take home. My sandwich was AWESOME! I got the Val d'Aosta Sandwich and the focaccia it was on was incredible! The meats, toppings, etc all came together perfectly and it was really tasty! I'd love to go back and try their pizza next time.... They have a beautiful brick oven pizza flaming up in the kitchen, which is viewable from the store. Staff was very helpful and friendly too! Highly recommend!! But if you want to dine in, it's more of a carry-out with one (maybe two?) table for two inside.

We all know Cville suffers from a mediocre pizza scene, but Mona Lisa is definitely one of the better (& cheaper) places in town. Will be my new go-to pizza place for large orders! Would recommend the sausage and onion.

Ginger ale, mushroom and pesto pizza with roasted red peppers.

Lemme start with the fact that this pizza is easily in my top 5 all time, I got the mushroom and pesto and added roasted peppers. The crust and cheese are beyond perfect and they have a cool open kitchen where you can see their brick oven. The wait time was about 25 minutes and I waited an extra 10 before checking in and my pizza had been ready but I'm not even upset because it was so good. The only thing I wouldn't do again is get the ginger ale, the 6 pack was about $17 because she had to scan each bottle individually, I love ginger ale and that was unfortunately the worst I've ever had. I'll say it again tho- the pizza is SO worth it!!

Heard great things about the pizza here at Mona Lisa Pasta. It really was good and just the way I like pizza. Ordered online to pick up and the site was very user friendly. I called when I arrived as the online system suggested and I think it's easier just to go to the counter inside. The crust was cooked just the way I requested through the online system and the thinly grated parmesan cheese over the prosciutto was perfect. I stayed to have a slice in their seating area that is back open and very inviting for locals and new visitors alike. They also make amazing fresh pasta, pasta sauces and freeze meals and pasta for quick pick up in their refrigerated section. In addition, it is a small international/mainly Italian food market so you can find great host gifts, olives, cheeses, oils, crackers and the list goes on!

Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed our sandwiches. Val'dAosta Sandwich was super unique and tasty (Salty ham, buttery focaccia bread, fontina cheese, and red pepper mustard). Lots of flavor and like no sandwich I've ever had. Turkey muffaletta was also solid, and had the quintessential olive salad and hearty ciabatta bread. Staff was super friendly and made you feel like family. We can't wait to go back for pizza or prepared entrees.

We each got a pizza and were able to finish both since we were starving. We loved the pizza scissors! Our server was prompt, and we felt lucky to be seated right away on a Wednesday night. Their connecting bar was having a concert outside, with what felt like hundreds of people in attendance. We also learned that we could park in the industrial warehouse lot next door since it was after 5 PM. We'll be back!

Thankfully, got the drink and were called in early about 15 minutes into the wait. That little surprise made things start off on a good note. Once inside, we sat at the bar since there weren't tables available and we were HUNGRY and cold! Even with the weather and a busy crowd, everything felt smooth and relaxed. AMBIANCE The place was small and cozy with a warm vibe that instantly made us forget the rain outside! The cool shallot-shaped lamps over the bar gave off soft light, making the whole space feel super calm and inviting. Sitting at the bar felt right choice for us for our first time -- close enough to the energy of the restaurant and people watching and seeing the pizzas get made but still comfortable! There's a soft buzz but cozy enough to chat and just feel at home. FOOD We ordered the Abruzzo pizza with beef and pork meatballs, fiore di latte, San Marzano tomato, basil, and pecorino. It was hearty and rich but still balanced. We also wanted to try the Prosciutto pizza, which was not the favorite but still good. The San Marzano tomato sauce for the Abruzzo was the star of the show. We were sad we didn't order another pizza with the tomato sauce to switch it up but oh well, another time right?! Loved the floppiness, the tomato sauce flavor, and the crust! Have to love the scissor-plate idea -- very clever and so easy. And size of these personal small-sized pizzas perfect for 2 people so we could have room for dessert and not have leftovers! We finished with the Zeppole "donuts" which were fried ricotta donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar with a hint of lemon (which I LOVED the lemon here and cinnamon sugar worked perfectly!). They were light, warm, crispy and just what you want at the end of a meal. The food was delicious, though definitely on the pricier side ($16-$18 each for the small pizzas, $9 for dessert. Still, everything felt thoughtful and worth it for the quality!

We came back to this spot and took our pizzas and meatball sandwich to go. The art park has some places you could eat outdoors, though some are marked off for other businesses. For a 100% takeout, it wasn't the smoothest experience. They ran out of some things, they ran a bit over the projected order time, and they forgot my beverage, which thankfully I realized before I'd gotten very far. The flavor delivered as I would have hoped, with pure tomato tang, fresh basil, and a delectable charred crust on the core pizza I got. Adding a vegetable sandwich was a good decision in terms of taste, but either the preserved peppers they use or some other ingredient was so salty it took me a while to recover from even eating half of it. I do give them credit for offering sparkling water at a reasonable price. And of note, the budino dessert they offer, while described as pudding, is something that I learned is actually vegetarian (albeit with dairy and eggs), and delivered more excellent flavor. Overall, the amount I got for the money was not great, and while there were ample quality ingredients, I would sooner go back to eating in.
