Poor poor customer service. Not helpful, not friendly. Seems like it's a chore for those ladies to be there to help customers.

Granted, they have a great selection of fabrics and I used to go there often when I was into sewing. This time, years later, I went in only for elastic and was met with a sourpuss face and an attitude that made me feel like she was doing me a favor to serve me; no thank you after my purchase. Itʻs not like they were jammed with people to assist. No excuse for bad customer service. Thank goodness I donʻt have to depend on them for fabric. Next time I need sewing accessories, Iʻll go to Ben Franklin, even if I have to drive the extra miles to Kailua. At least they know how to treat customers with friendliness and courtesy! read more

Fabric Mart what will we ever do without you? This Kaneohe is just a fraction of the size in comparison to town but somehow is wall to wall filled with beautiful selections that would make any crafter drool with excitement!! Before that happens you need to check your temperature at the door and hand sanitizer is provided for your convenience. The service at this Fabric Mart was not too bad. The staff was helpful when I needed assistance. The selection of fabric material was pretty good. They almost had everything I needed to get. The value was pretty reasonable for purchasing fabric for your projects as well. The only negative I had was that the parking lot is terribly needing to be repaved. There is so much pot holes and asphalt falling apart that it makes the area look terrible and horrible to drive on. read more

Mask game still going strong? They have descent selection of fabric at this location but is the smallest Fabric Mart store on island. Mostly Hawaiian and oriental prints, not so many Disney, good selection of Star Trek, no Star Wars, a couple Hello Kitty and some Family Guy. Staff are friendly but not helpful at all. You're on your own if you're looking for certain prints. They had black and white elastic but I forgot to pick up interfacing smh.. By appointment only and this location was the closest appt I could find. I don't mind the drive to the East and to explore what's poppin on this side. Sewing seems to be somewhat of a lost art. It takes time and some creativity. The outcome may not be as envisioned, but in the attempt to create something unique and functional, I continue to practice my seamstress skills. ..what little I have!! I'm not the best or quickest like my mom. She could whip up matching dresses for herself, my 3 sisters and me like magic. As we lay in our beds at night, I could hear the humming of mom's sewing machine. In the morning, the five of us would have a new outfit! I'm so grateful that mom shared her talent and interests with us. She sent my sisters and me to sewing lessons at the YWCA and some of us even had private lessons. This skill came in handy as I was asked to make my own bridesmaid gown for my friend's wedding; I fashioned my own graduation dress for Nursing School; I assembled a Hello Kitty costume for Halloween; etc. I'm able to hem jeans, adjust lengths of skirts, replace buttons, and fix armholes when needed. Each time, I went to Fabric Mart for supplies. They have the most reasonable prices, and great variety. You can find zippers, patterns (some are half priced), thread, trim, fabric (note the Hawaiian and Japanese prints), buttons, scissors, elastic, and so much more here! The service is very helpful and engaging. They are interested in all of your projects and make appropriate suggestions! This Kaneohe store is located on Kamehameha Highway after the Toyota/Burger King corner, near the Likelike intersection. (There is another Fabric Mart in town on Kalakaua Avenue and one in Aiea.) Drive carefully because the parking lot doesn't have the best pavement. There is one way in and one way out. Use caution since this is a one way street along this strip of road. The best and most friendly fabric mart on island. Compared to Aiea and Kalakaua, Kaneohe fabric mart is a little hole in the wall but has the biggest personality. The workers are always smiling, laughing, and friendly. Upon arrival, everyone must do a temperature check and use hand sanitizer. If someone doesn't, the workers always ask kindly customers to do so prior to shopping. read more

When the stay at home orders first hit and everyone swarmed the fabric stores, I went online to schedule an appointment. This location had one of the closest appointment dates so I decided I could venture to the windward side and see what's goin on. I sat in my car since I was early and someone came out and checked on everyone waiting. They allowed only 2 customers in the store at a time for a 20m period. This store is small so 20m I think was enough. I didn't find much of anything I needed so I just grabbed a couple of things they had. Gidget fabric, navy cotton fabric, whatever the max elastic, black thread cone and a pink rotary cutter. Cheapest I've seen, the last one and in pink, I couldn't leave without it... The parking lot is a good size. The employees were nice and helpful. Prices are the same as the other locations. It wasn't worth the trip far from home, but at the time, there was nothing else to do and everyone was held up on elastic and fabric. On the phone asking if they have a certain product from their website the lady couldn't understand me and rudely said what. The people here are always friendly helpful and cheerful. The parking lot looks terrible so if it's your first visit don't get scared away by the entrance. They have a large Hawaiian print selection. A wide selection of many others for quilting and sewing your own clothes with some patterns and interesting notions. At the counter are some gigantic auntie style foam flower hair ornaments. Only for the very bold, big hair, hula performance souls or possibly cosplay. Other projects hang there, curtains, bags, baby outfits, it changes all the time. Customers are chatty and while standing in line to pay, I saw Kalaheo girls show off tutus they made, dresses, blankets, etc. They also sell scrap bundles, which I've used for tv quilts before. read more

I know you have to limit how many people come in but you NEED to limit how long they're staying in there for! 5-10minutes is fine but letting them browse for 30min+ is ridiculous! Your line is out the door and around the parking and people waiting 2-3 hours because you can efficiently move people in and out of your store! And closing early telling people to go home by telling the person at the door to tell everyone else putting them on the spot! Come outside and tell everyone is your business not theirs! read more

Poor customer service from the older Hawaiian lady. At first I thought she was a customer because of how loud and personal she was talking to the Asian male worker like they were close friends so I was thinking she was a "regular"customer. Until I saw her go behind the counter by the cash register. She was loud and obnoxious when she spoke and she was going on her cell phone in front of us customers. Then as I was checking out and she was cutting my material, she was speaking to me in a very sassy attitude as if I were asking too much questions. She then started talking about the other local looking lady worker who was on her lunch break. She was talking to the other workers as if she were the manager, in a very bossy tone and continued to talk crap about the lady still on her lunch break in front of me and the other customers waiting in line. What pissed me off was when she was cutting my material she was slamming the material roll on the counter top causing all the excess fuzzy material to fly up in my face. She was rude, sassy, made unnecessary comments and her customer service sucks! On top of that she wasn't even listening to how much of each material I wanted. I'm in kaneohe like 4 times a week and I keep driving past this store . I've wasted money and time at other stores and online places . Yes the parking lot is like pot hole city , park in the first lot it's not so bad Note : YES there are a lot of hawaiian fabric options so just keep that in mind if your looking for indie prints or such. There are lots of choices though I'm sure you're bound to find something you like . In all honesty, I haven't returned to this Fabric Mart for more than two years, but the unfriendly service the last several times I had shopped there were enough for me to take the drive into town to avoid the bad vibes. No aloha spirit found at this Kaneohe location. After I walked in the door, took my temperature reading, an older Asian man greets me by saying "You're lucky you came now. You have only one hour to shop". A young Caucasian boy that was next to him looks up at me and repeats what the other guy said "Yeah, you're lucky!". I was shocked. Never in my life, have I ever experienced a cold greeting like that. Talk about not feeling welcomed. I think I'd prefer they not greet me vs how they actually did. My gut feeling was to walk out, but I was really on the hunt looking for a particular item. I walked around for a minute then realized I needed help. I walked close toward the two people I got the cold greeting from, there was a woman there too (seemed like another employee), they looked up at me with a look as if I'm bothering them. I asked politely if I could get some help, they all looked at each other trying to figure out who was going to help me. OMG, what the heck is that about!?!?! I live on the Windward side so this is the most convenient location. However, I prefer the aiea location to this one as the female associates at the Kaneohe location don't acknowledge me even when I'm the only customer in the store. They aren't friendly and if I ask a simple question I get the feeling I'm bugging them. If I'm in a pinch and need something simple like thread I'll go there but for my large purchases I'll go to Aiea for the better and much more pleasant service. There is ample parking at this location although it's angled a little weird. Masks are still preferred at this store so heads up if you're heading there. Pretty good selection but Aiea (due to its size) has way more. read more

Do not go there unless you really have to go. The only person who was very nice and helpful was Cindy (thank you to her). Two other people, one man and one woman, were disgusted rude. I dont care if they are store manager or what! Here is what happened. - did not greet when entered or inside store. - no words at all at check out. didnt ask me if I am paying by cash, credit card. No THANK YOU when I paid but just gave me some changes. She practically ignored me at all time when I am paying. I am very upset but the most, I am hurt by their attitude towards to me. Broski that works there has a bad attitude. Very unfriendly, doesn't have any manners. Several people I know have told me they went to fabric mart and he was rude to them too. Surly service that is par for the course in most fabric store. Fabric on large unwieldy rolls just like the picture posted by another yelper. A small but decent lot. Tons of Hawaiian and Japanese themed fabric! Prices ranged anywhere from $4.95 to $15.95. There was a huge row of sale fabric at the Kaneohe store but nothing grabbed me. Much cheaper than Kaimuki Dry Goods with similar, if not a larger selection. Check it out if you are in Kaneohe and have sewing needs. No indie designers for patterns though. read more

This place is great! My wife always comes to this location. The team here is always a great help and even great us by name when we walk in. They always help us with our needs and if for some reason they are out of stock of certain items, they bring it in from their other location. I don't know of many retailers that are willing to do that. Most places would send the customer out to find the items themselves. Keep in mind i am regular customer. Customer services was horrible because i asked for two foot. They were asking me again you sure two or two yard whats makes it worst they were confusing me asking me about it. First off,don't laugh when just cause of my cousin and my friend. Don't see me laughing about it about two foot and yard. Then have the nerve to asked me again you sure want two foot not 2 yard.Secondly don't ask me question like i can't afford the fabric by saying you know its 18 something dollar for this silk fabric. Thanks Fabric Mart for being open to provide our fabric needs for the face covering requirements due to this pandemic. I made an appointment online and the date was about two weeks out. I received a text message about an hour before my appointment. I was greeted in the parking lot and allowed in at my appointment time. I was pleasantly surprised to see I was the only one in there with two employees. I had already checked their website to pre select some fabric options. I would describe the fabric I was looking for and they quickly pointed out the section where the fabric was located. They didn't have all the prints I was looking for but that was to be expected which is why I had several selections in mind. They still had lots to choose from. I was able to quickly find what I needed and was out in 10 minutes. Parking was easy as you need an appointment to get on. Very organized in that respect. I felt safe and most of all the service was quick and friendly. I know lots of businesses had to figure out and update their websites. And Fabric Mart did a great job! The workers was nice and pointed me to the direction of the fabric I was looking for . The young girl was very nice and helped me find the exact fabric I was looking for . So I was trying to figure out what to be for Halloween and all of my students were taking my ideas. I needed something super easy (sorry I ran out of time planning for my daughter's 13th birthday party) and something that was totally easy (sorry, I have no sewing skills). Someone recommending going to fabric mart for material to make my costume. Sounded good since I had no time to order anything off the internet. I went into fabric mart and found EVERYTHING I needed. Auntie was able to answer all of my lame questions and even had a laugh when I asked about the "right" time of scissors. I was super excited to have gone in on a recommendation.
