The woman running the shop told me a little bit about the artist (Boothbay Harbor, I think he's from) and how she bought a cobalt glass pair of earrings from his collection the previous year, different design). They're gorgeous when the light hits them. Highly recommend stopping in to look at the array of human creativity on display!

It's a great place to pick up toys or gifts if you want something that's thoughtfully created. The owner protects woodlands by using wood that would otherwise be wasted. We loved our quick little visit to the shop. They also have a large rocking horse that is fun for kids to experience. If I had more room in my luggage, I would've taken home one of those adorable little bird houses.

Due to the nature of how long this particular location has been opened some of the areas can feel very crowded depending on how many people are nearby but understandable with how long they've been open. Like other Sherman locations they have more than just books including puzzles, stuffed animals, Knick-knacks/trinkets, and more. My wife is an avid reader and loves checking out every and any bookstore. I appreciate locating them for her so she can do so! While not as much of an avid reader I do appreciate what appears to be a resurgence of physical books and indie book stores. The staff were extremely friendly and prices were reasonable/on par with other locations. This Sherman's has stood the test of time and has provided locals and tourists a spot for the newest and classic favorites for many generations. They were selling little patches that said Boothbay Harbor Historical Society for some cause or other but ran out of shirts. They told me to buy a shirt and bring the patch to this place to have them sew it on. It started to sound complicated but they said that the people at the Harbor Embroidery were really nice. So I ended up going there and they were extremely nice. They said come back in a hour and the work would be done. Well We came back and all the patches and shirts were united.. I'm not sure I'll ever have the opportunity to use their services again, but it was a pleasure dealing with them.
