As I browsed around the store though I realized I was being being blatantly ignored by the staff. I had been in the store for at least 15 mins and no one had greeted or checked on me. Walked by me multiple times and nothing. I couldn't help but notice the over bearing kindness to the other shoppers as they browsed and tried stuff on as well as checked out. This led me to believe that it was because of what I was wearing, an oversized t shirt and tennis shoes. As all the other customers were in dressier outfits. I headed to check out and the older women working insisted on checking me out, found it a bit odd as the younger employee had been checking everyone out the whole time I was there. I was waiting for the younger staff member to wrap my items and noticed to women behind me waiting in line. The older women worker was clearly focused on moving me out of the way so she could talk to them. I got handed my bag and I said "thank you guys so much have a good day" . The answer I got was the older staff member completely looking past me to the other women and saying a "looks like yall found some stuff!", I was apparently invisible in this older employees eyes. I understand this area is a nicer one but just because someone isn't dressed to the nine doesn't mean they should be treated differently! Fake smiles all around for these employees, I will not be back to visit this store:(

They had multiple items with various colors and I love the comfort styles that were available as well. Everything was displayed perfectly and caught my eye. I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long.
