Face Tea slaps. Boba tea places are popping up everywhere but this one stands out. It's super small and cute inside. It has an authentic Asian vibe which is refreshing considering a lot of these tea cafes have become very Americanized. The girls working there are always sweet and offer recommendations if you ask. The menu itself is simple yet creative and of course you can always customize a drink if nothing on the menu jumps out. My go-to order is the Thai tea with boba and cheese foam. My wife likes the taro milk tea with boba. Both are always good and even after multiple visits they taste the same every time. Consistency is key!!! The boba here is perfect. It's not too hard or soft like you see at some places. You can customize the sweetness level of almost every drink which is good for people who find things too sweet (or not sweet enough!!) sometimes. Face Tea also serves small plates. I've never tried any myself but I see people order the popcorn chicken a lot and it looks fantastic. They also have French fries and takoyaki. What really blows my mind is how fast they are! I usually order at least two drinks with toppings and by the time I'm done paying, they're done! Definitely doing something right here and I'll remain a returning customer!! read more

This is located in a shopping plaza. Small, cute place with a couple of IG walls. Plexiglass in place around the counter. Really like that. The drink was just ok. I asked the server if the Hawaiian tea was sweet, he said it was refreshing and light. But after a couple of sips, it was definitely way too sweet. Very good. I tried the taro milk tea with cheese foam. Everything came out really quick and the taste was great. I was afraid if the taro milk tea May come out tasting like powder but it didn't ( not sure what they use to make the Taro milk tea) . I will definitely come back and try the other teas! read more

We were craving for some mid day drinks and decided to stop by face tea since we were in the area. They have an open space for guests and a wall for cute photo ops. We ordered the brown sugar, Thai tea and a fruit tea (forgot the name). You can't go wrong with Thai tea so there were no issues there. The brown sugar is my typical go to drink but I didn't care for it -- I felt that it was milkier compared to the other places. My husband said his fruit tea was refreshing so that's a plus. I gave it a 3 star review because For me it was ok and it didn't give me the "ooo this is good" feeling. (If that makes sense). read more

I just found my new spot whenever I crave for a fresh fruit tea! I usually would drive all the ways to Mills in Orlando! What's so awesome is this location is only a few minutes from my house! We went to shop at TJ Maxx in Lake Mary and saw this place right on the corner (opposite from one of my favorite restaurants). You really can't miss it! We ordered the pineapple smoothie with boba and the Fresh Fruit Tea! Both drinks I recommend! If you're not a boba fan, try something else in your drink, I love lychee with the pineapple. Honestly, you can try them as is and they both taste amazing! The ingredients taste fresh and they were both delicious! Face Tea is a local chain of teas. The orange city location also has a poke bowl menu that is delicious. Its our favorite spot to stop in and get quick and easy poke bowls and milk tea. What I love most is that everything is dairy free and you can adjust how sweet you want your milk (I usually have zero sweetener in my tea, and it's still delicious!). We saw tea and had to visit. It was a very cute little place. You can tell they put their heart into it by the decor. I got the green tea with cheese foam despite my initial hesitaton as i never heard of cheese foam before. Glad I did! The cheese foam was like a thicker whip cream not as sweet but still sweet. 1st time here. First of all, the lady was not the friendliest worker I've ever seen. Not a thank you or you're welcome regardless how many times I had said thank you. Now to what's really important, the food and beverages. We ordered to go but kids decided to play with the board games that's in the store so we sat and ate our popcorn chicken there. The chicken were pretty good and decent portion for the price. The drinks, unfortunately were all pretty lite and not really sweet. Not to mention, this place don't soak their boba in sugar/brown sugar. I was very surprised at first when biting into the boba. I had no idea what a Hawaiian ice tea was but didn't want to ask the lady because she didn't seem to be in the mood, so I ordered anyways. It comes with cheese foam (not one of my favorite toppings) and tasted 'interesting'. I had no idea it has matcha in it because I tasted none, I only realize it when I open the cover to stir/mix the cheese foam and saw tiny green slim underneath the cover. I couldn't taste the avocado in the avocado yogurt, I assumed the 'yogurt' was those Yakult drink but it was more like greek yogurt, so it over powered the avocado flavor. First time trying a babo rice, it was definitely an interesting taste, not really sweet, think it had milk tea in it with some type of scented sticky rice. Not a big fan, but that's my opinion. Very similar to a southeast Asian dessert but they make it with sweet coconut milk. Overall, drinks weren't great, but maybe I'll try new items next time to see if it gets better. read more

Great Chinese/Taiwanese boba shop. Their tea taste high quality and fresh. I really like their sunrise lemon black tea, but they offer a good amount of interesting fresh tea and fruit combinations. I also like that they offer some limited food options...it's nice to have a little hot snack with your fresh tea. I've tried their French fries and they were crispy, with a choice of one of three flavors of seasoning. It's also one of the few tea spots in north Orlando. Definitely check it out. read more

You can tell the ladies working there really care... they are fast, kind, knowledgeable, and keep the place super clean! This is my new favorite boba place in Orlando! The staff is very nice and the interior is super cute! I've gone nearly every day since I've discovered them. Don't understand the negative reviews because every time I've been has been a good experience! At the time of this review I've been at least 15 times so far. I've tried the oreo milk garden, sakura oolong milk tea, osmanthus milk tea, jasmine milk green tea, peach oolong tea w/ cheese foam, peach oolong milk tea, super fruit tea, mango orange fruit tea, sunrise lemon tea, grapefruit passion fruit tea, pomelo mojito, and strawberry blossom. I was not a fan of the oreo milk garden or strawberry blossom. The oreo bits were too finely grounded and gave the tea a texture I didn't quite like but the tea itself was good. I just didn't like the taste of the strawberry blossom much but one of my friends really liked it. My favorites though are the sakura oolong milk tea, osmanthus milk tea, and both versions of the peach oolong tea--w/ and w/o milk! Their milk teas are super light and so yummy! It's not as heavy as other boba places I've been to. Their fruit teas are yummy too! My favorite out of the fruit teas is the mango orange fruit tea but my roommate LOVES the pomelo mojito. Me and all my friends are also suuuuper obsessed with the popcorn chicken! We've tried all three flavors--salt & pepper, plum, and spicy--and our favorite hands down is the plum. It's savory and sweet at the same time and the chicken is tender! I live 30-35 minutes from Face Tea but I go very very often because I really love their teas! Would recommend! read more

I don't know if the chicken was vegan or not, but it did not taste like regular chicken or a vegan substitute. It had somewhat of a dumpling or cinnamon taste? Ended up throwing it out. I tried the Coffee Milk Tea, that didn't seem to contain coffee but just tea. The whipped topping and caramel sauce on top was good. After trying my friends drink I think they may use the same base tea for most of their drinks. They did not enjoy their drinks. My partner loved her mango boba drink. My matcha latte was not chilled. Had to wait for ice cubes in it to chill it to a good cold temp.

Delicious drinks however 3/4 of my cup was ice. A few sips and you find yourself surprised that it's done. Not worth $6+..

I been to Face tea twice.. although the service is excellent, the tea (Jasmine Green) was not done right. My guess is that the tea bag soaked too long which leaves a bad after taste. Additionally, the agar boba here is very odd as it is way different than the normal agar boba I have tried every where else. The boba is also a but overcooked. The saving grace for me is that popcorn chicken was decent. If the tea aspect improves then I will come back otherwise, I been sticking to Tbaar which in my opinion, is still the best boba tea place in Central Florida. read more

First off I wish the Orange City location had their own yelp account because I had a wonderful experience their. Very friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately lake Mary location was just, well mehhhh?. Service was just par, and from other reviews I am not the only one who has experienced this. But the reason I'm only giving them 3 stars is because I was specific on asking before I ordered if there were drinks that had no dairy. Apparently most of them don't because the powder base they use is dairy free. Great, that's awesome for people like me that got the short end of the stick and can't handle dairy. Well the girl that made my drink ended up putting a big pile of whipped cream on mine. When I asked her if it was mine she gave me a look and knew I couldn't have dairy. So instead of offering to make me a new one she scooped out the whipped cream and gave it back to me.....I get this is where I probably should have spoken up and just asked for a new one (but if you've read any of my other reviews I am very weary of doing that cause you never know what you'll get back in your food). Let's just say my body was well aware after drinking it that there was a pile of dairy originally in it. In comparisons to other tea places, like I-tea and Royal Tea, I'd place this one at a step or 2 lower than I-tea, which is our fave. The Oreo Milk was good but nothing special really. The super fruit tea was way too sweet. It had a good flavor but the sweetness was just too much. We had to add water to be able to drink it which diluted the favor quite a bit. If it hadn't been overly sweet, I would have likely given them 4 stars. I was really excited to try them as well. Also, the overwhelming scent of frying oil stuck on me after I left. My husband kept making comments about how I smelled like a vat of frying oil which wasn't good considering I was in there for like 5 mins and we were on our way out for the evening and that's all I could think about was that I probably smelled like frying grease. read more

I've enjoyed every drink I've ever had and a few of their food items as well including the fries and tiramisu. The atmosphere is nice and I like the games they have available.
