If you're reading this, you're probably already considering it, but most people don't even think about face painting when planning an event. But they should! It really does add a whole new dimension of festive air having a face painter stationed at the heart of the action. She has a wide variety of paints as well as different colors of glitter and even small plastic gems. She also has a huge catalog of templates to work from, but you can also have her customize or vary any of those designs. Faces range from just a tiny pattern on the cheek (such as a rainbow or baseball) to a full-face painting (like the tiger face), but those generally take a lot longer. Your average face painting tends to cover half the face, like the eyes and one cheek, which takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes, depending on the level of detail. She can do several smaller face paintings in an hour, at a rate of maybe 4-5 minutes for each one, but more elaborate ones can take over half an hour, so plan accordingly. I mean, I don't want to give you the idea that you can hire her for only one hour and expect twenty face paintings or anything. I didn't have a stopwatch; I was partying, after all. When I was there, I think she was painting faces for three hours in order for everyone to get a turn. I guess that depends on the event. Face paintings wash off incredibly easily, too. I must admit, I was very reluctant to get my own face painted at first, but as soon as I saw one of my friends as a Jack-o'-lantern, I just HAD to have the exact same one. I had seen face painting before, but didn't think it was that impressive (another reason I was initially reluctant), but then I saw hers and I was impressed. Her faces were WAY better than what I'd seen before. I was like an impressionable little kid, "I want that one, too! Make me look like that!" My concern was that I would be spending all night trying to get it off my skin, but it came right off with a washcloth and soap. Be careful about touching your face, though, because you don't want to smear it! You want to preserve that festive look in all its pristine glory. Sweating too much can smear it, too. While the photos are good, the face paintings actually look even better in real life. More vivid, more detailed. Juliet is friendly and fun, but she's especially great with kids. All the kids loved her, and you can tell she really enjoys her work. Definitely consider Faces by Juliet for your next event, but be careful about scheduling her in October, because I will definitely be having her do face painting at my Halloween party every year from now on, and I plan on getting to her first! read more

Through a recommendation, I contacted Juliet with Faces by Juliet to provide the Face Painting and Balloon Twisting services for this year's National Night Out event that was held on October 7th, 2014.
